Banglamung District Holds Alms-Giving Ceremony for Queen Mother’s Birthday and National Mother’s Day

Banglamung District organized a merit-making and alms-giving ceremony on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and National Mother’s Day.

The event took place at the multi-purpose building of Pattaya City School 2 in Na Kluea Subdistrict. District Chief Mr. Anusak Phiriyamon presided over the ceremony. Phra Maha Thaworn Thanawaro, Ecclesiastical District Officer of Banglamung and Abbot of Wat Sutthawat, led the monastic side, joined by other monks.

Participants first joined in Buddhist chanting and religious rites before offering alms to the monks. The merit was dedicated to Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in recognition of her great kindness and contributions.

Among those attending were heads of government agencies, local administrators, civil servants, military and police officers, village headmen, members of the public, and invited guests. Notable attendees included Pattaya City Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngamphichet and other local leaders from Banglamung District.

The ceremony was to offer royal merit, express loyalty and gratitude to the Queen Mother, and encourage people of all walks of life to perform good deeds and auspicious activities on National Mother’s Day, 12 August 2026.
