  • Jennifer Garner shares how insecure she felt financially after divorce from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner has revealed that she faced financial insecurity following her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2015, as she took a step back from acting to focus on raising their three children. She admitted that she was not working as much in the entertainment industry at the time because she was busy raising her children. “I panicked when I was first out of my marriage and realised I had taken such a step back in my work,” Jennifer shared on Emma Grede’s podcast, Aspire. “Suddenly I realised, like, I don’t know how long I’ll be able to work. This isn’t a career that’s like, hey, you’re 60, you’re 55, you’re 43  come on let’s pay you more than you’ve ever made. That’s not been traditionally the role,” she said. Jennifer and Ben were married from 2005 to 2015 and have three children, Violet, Finn and Samuel. The couple finalised their divorce in 2018. “I was suddenly like, wait a minute, I have to take care of myself. I have to take care of these kids. So, what is it going to be?” the actress said. The Elektra star explained that she and her manager became “very calculated” about every project because she wanted to continue working while remaining close to her family. “She was like, how can you work? And I said, I can work in Los Angeles. I can’t leave these kids for six months at a time. I would love to — I love going on location  but that is not this time in my career,” Jennifer shared. She said she and her manager then focused on finding projects that would allow her to balance her career and family responsibilities. In 2017, Garner also co-founded Once Upon a Farm, an organic children’s food company. “Once Upon a Farm was very much a part of that play. It’s just the crazy thing is it’s working,” she said. According to Forbes, the company has grown significantly, while Garner’s stake in the business has been valued at around $50 million. Jennifer also spoke about the realities of managing finances while being a well-known public figure. “It’s not like you can just unfamous yourself. Life is expensive and you still have to kind of figure out how you’re going to live. And just because you’re well-known by people does not mean that there is some great living being provided for you,” she said. Garner said the experience quickly changed her approach to money and made her realise that she needed to take greater responsibility for her financial future. “And it became very serious to me really quickly as someone who had never given a lot of thought to money. Like, oh, I need to be an earner here,” she added.

Ananya Panday and Walker Blanco reportedly split after two years

Ananya Panday and Walker Blanco have reportedly called time on their relationship after nearly two years of dating. The Bollywood actress and the former model were first linked in 2024, and although neither of them ever officially confirmed their romance, their interactions over the past two years sparked continued speculation about their relationship. The two were reportedly introduced during the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024. Their connection gradually attracted attention as they were spotted around the same social circles and appeared to share a close bond. While they largely kept their personal lives away from the spotlight, fans noticed subtle signs that suggested they were more than just friends. Social media interactions further fueled the dating rumours surrounding Panday and Blanco. The pair were said to have used affectionate nicknames for each other, including “Annie” and “Walkie,” giving fans another reason to believe that they were romantically involved. Despite the growing public interest, both maintained a low profile and refrained from making their relationship official. However, reports now claim that the couple have decided to go their separate ways. According to recent reports, the decision to end the relationship was initiated by Ananya last week. Despite this, the split was reportedly mutual, with both sides understanding the decision and choosing to move forward separately. A source reportedly described the breakup as a mutual decision and suggested that there is no bitterness between the former couple. The development has attracted considerable attention because Panday and Blanco had managed to keep much of their relationship private despite being followed closely by Bollywood fans and entertainment media. Blanco, who previously worked as a model in Chicago, is associated with the Ambani family’s Vantara wildlife initiative in Jamnagar, India. His connection with the Ambani family brought him into the same social circles as several prominent Bollywood personalities, including Panday. Before her reported relationship with Blanco, Panday was involved with actor Aditya Roy Kapur. The pair were linked from 2022 until 2024 and frequently made headlines during their time together. They were spotted on dinner outings, holidays and other public occasions, although they also chose not to make a formal announcement about their relationship. Panday was also previously linked to actor Ishaan Khatter. The two reportedly dated between 2020 and 2022 after working together on the film Khaali Peeli. Their relationship was also the subject of considerable media attention during that period. At 27, Panday has established herself as one of the younger stars of the Hindi film industry, appearing in projects across different genres and building a strong presence on social media. Her personal life has often attracted as much attention as her professional career, particularly because of her high-profile relationships. For now, neither Panday nor Blanco has publicly addressed reports of their alleged breakup. The pair have yet to release an official statement confirming that their relationship has ended. Until either of them comments publicly, details surrounding the reported split remain based on claims from sources familiar with the situation. The reported separation marks the latest development in Panday’s much-discussed personal life, while fans continue to wait for any direct confirmation from the actress or Blanco regarding their relationship status.

Netflix addresses Gandhari plagiarism allegations before release

Netflix has finally addressed the plagiarism controversy surrounding its upcoming film Gandhari, following allegations by writer Kalyan Bandi that the project bears similarities to an original story he claims to have developed several years ago. The controversy gained attention after Bandi alleged that he had written a story titled Gandhari in 2019. According to the writer, his concept revolved around a mother who transforms into a powerful, almost divine figure while trying to rescue her child from a human trafficking network. He claimed that he later pitched the idea to Monika Shergill, who was associated with Voot at the time and is now Netflix India’s Vice President of Content. Bandi said he submitted an eight-page document containing his story and synopsis but was informed that the project did not fit the platform’s content slate. However, after Taapsee Pannu’s Gandhari was announced in 2025, he raised concerns over what he believed were similarities between his concept and the upcoming film. The writer subsequently sent a legal notice seeking Rs 40 lakh in compensation. However, Bandi has maintained that financial compensation was never his primary objective. Instead, he has repeatedly said that he wants his contribution to be acknowledged if his original idea was used. Netflix has now responded to the allegations through Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India. Speaking at the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai, she said the streaming platform takes questions surrounding artistic attribution seriously. She explained that Netflix receives numerous pitches and maintained that the story presented by Bandi is different from the film created by writer Kanika Dhillon and actress Taapsee Pannu. She also urged audiences to watch the movie before drawing conclusions about the allegations. She further emphasized Netflix’s commitment to supporting original storytelling and giving recognition to writers regardless of their previous experience in the industry. According to her, the platform values originality whether a storyteller has already worked on several films or is making their first project. Meanwhile, Dhillon’s production company, Kathha Pictures, has strongly rejected the plagiarism allegations. The production house stated that the claims are false and unequivocally denied them, maintaining that Gandhari is an original project written and produced by Dhillon and developed under Kathha Pictures. The controversy comes shortly before the film’s release, placing additional attention on the project as audiences await its arrival on the streaming platform. Directed by Devashish Makhija, Gandhari features Taapsee Pannu in the lead role and also stars Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht and Jatin Sarna. The film is expected to explore themes of motherhood, revenge and the lengths a parent may go to protect a child. Despite the ongoing dispute, Netflix and the filmmakers have maintained that the film is an original work. With the allegations now publicly addressed by the streaming platform, viewers will have the opportunity to watch Gandhari themselves and assess the story when it premieres on Netflix on September 3.

Tim Curry, iconic ‘Rocky Horror’ star, dies at 80

LOS ANGELES: British actor Tim Curry, best known for his unforgettable performance as Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has died at the age of 80, according to Variety and other media reports. Curry, whose distinctive baritone voice and theatrical performances made him a celebrated figure in film, television and theatre, died on August 26. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. His portrayal of Dr. Frank N. Furter in the 1975 cult musical horror-comedy The Rocky Horror Picture Show became the defining role of his career. The film initially struggled to find a mainstream audience but later developed a passionate international following through midnight screenings. Audiences often attended screenings dressed as characters from the movie, helping turn the production into one of cinema’s most enduring cult classics. Curry first played Dr. Frank N. Furter in the original London stage production of The Rocky Horror Show in 1973. He later reprised the role for the film adaptation, appearing alongside Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. Although the character brought Curry worldwide recognition, he was concerned that such an unconventional role could overshadow the rest of his career. He nevertheless embraced the part and went on to build a diverse body of work across several entertainment genres. Curry appeared in numerous films, frequently playing villains or eccentric characters. His credits included Clue, Legend, Annie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Three Musketeers, The Shadow, Muppet Treasure Island and Charlie’s Angels. His career extended well beyond cinema. Curry was also a highly regarded stage performer and received three Tony Award nominations. He was nominated in 1981 for playing Mozart in Amadeus. His other Tony nominations came for My Favorite Year in 1993 and for his performance as King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot in 2005. Curry’s deep, recognisable voice also made him a sought-after voice actor. He worked on numerous animated productions for film and television and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1991 for his voice performance in Peter Pan & the Pirates. The actor became particularly associated with flamboyant and larger-than-life villains. His distinctive laugh, expressive face and commanding voice allowed him to bring a memorable theatrical quality to even supporting roles. Despite appearing in some critically unsuccessful productions, Curry remained candid about his career. He occasionally acknowledged his weaker performances with humour and continued to embrace challenging and unusual roles. Born on April 19, 1946, in Grappenhall, Cheshire, Curry studied drama at Birmingham University before pursuing a career in theatre. His career was affected by health problems later in life. He withdrew from a British stage production in 2011 because of ill health. His representatives later confirmed that he had suffered a stroke in 2012, after which he used a wheelchair and significantly reduced his professional workload. Despite these challenges, Curry continued working in entertainment. He returned to the big screen in 2024 with an appearance in the horror film Stream. Curry was also a singer and composer. He performed with his own rock band and released several albums during his career. He lived in Los Angeles and never married or had children.

Aima Baig breaks silence on domestic violence rumours

Pakistani singer Aima Baig has addressed growing speculation surrounding a recent video in which she appeared with a visible injury near her eye. The clip quickly attracted attention on social media, prompting fans to express concern about her wellbeing and leading to widespread rumours that the singer may have been a victim of domestic violence. The speculation gained momentum after viewers noticed a bruise on her face. With little information available about how the injury occurred, some social media users began suggesting that there could be a more serious story behind it. However, Baig has now personally responded to the rumours and made it clear that there was no such incident. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the singer thanked her fans for their concern while reassuring them that she was completely fine. She directly rejected claims of domestic violence and said there was no hidden situation behind the injury. Baig explained that the bruise was the result of an accidental incident that happened early in the morning after she returned home from dance rehearsals. According to the singer, she was extremely exhausted at the time and accidentally slammed her face into a door at around 5 a.m. The incident left her with a bruise, which subsequently became the subject of intense online speculation. Baig appeared keen to put the matter to rest, stressing that there was nothing more serious behind the injury. She also revealed that she was already unwell when the accident happened. The singer said she was suffering from fever and flu at the time, making the situation even more uncomfortable. Despite feeling unwell and dealing with the injury, she assured her followers that her overall health has been improving. Baig further shared that she remains busy with her professional commitments. She said she has continued working, dancing and attending rehearsals, while describing herself as healthier and happier than she has been in a long time. Her response appeared aimed at calming concerned fans and stopping further speculation about her personal life. Rather than allowing the rumours to grow, she chose to explain the circumstances herself and clarify that the injury was simply the result of an unfortunate accident. The singer also maintained a lighthearted tone while addressing the situation. She acknowledged that she appreciated the love and concern shown by her followers but urged them not to turn an accidental moment into something more dramatic. Baig’s clarification comes as social media users continue to closely follow the personal lives of celebrities, with even minor details often sparking speculation. In this case, the visible bruise led to assumptions before the singer had an opportunity to explain what had actually happened. By speaking out, Baig has made her position clear: the injury was accidental, there was no domestic violence involved, and there is no hidden story behind the incident. She has also reassured fans that she is recovering well and continuing with her work. For now, the singer appears ready to move past the incident and focus on her music, performances and upcoming professional activities. Her message was ultimately a reminder to fans that appearances on social media do not always tell the complete story, and that speculation can quickly grow when facts are not immediately available.

The couple frequently appears together on social media and in entertainment-related content, while Nadia has also gained attention for her candid reviews and opinions about Pakistani dramas. Faisal Rao, a former Air Force officer, recently appeared on the sets of Kya Drama Hai alongside Nadia Khan, where he opened up about his weight-loss journey and revealed the diet routine he has been following. According to Faisal, he has made significant changes to his eating habits and has shifted to a One Meal A Day (OMAD) routine. His transformation has been quite noticeable, with Faisal appearing significantly slimmer than before. Nadia appeared impressed by her husband’s transformation and proudly shared his new look with viewers. The couple’s appearance quickly attracted attention online, with many social media users commenting on the striking difference in Faisal’s appearance. His dramatic weight loss has also led some viewers to draw comparisons between Faisal and Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who has also undergone a highly visible transformation over the years. Johar’s weight loss has frequently sparked online speculation, including allegations about the use of weight-loss medication such as Ozempic, although such speculation should not be treated as fact without confirmation. Similarly, Faisal’s new appearance became the subject of various comments, jokes and comparisons across social media. Some users focused on his slimmer face and overall transformation, while others compared his latest look with his previous appearance. One social media user jokingly asked why Faisal had suddenly started looking like Karan Johar. Another made a reference to Ozempic while commenting on his changed facial appearance. A third user, however, felt that Faisal looked better before losing the weight and expressed disappointment over his new look. The mixed reactions highlight how quickly celebrity transformations can become a topic of public discussion, particularly when a significant change in appearance is shared online. While some people praised Faisal for achieving his weight-loss goals, others appeared more interested in comparing his new appearance with well-known celebrities. Nadia’s decision to share details of Faisal’s diet has also given followers an insight into the routine behind his transformation. His shift toward One Meal A Day appears to have played an important role in his recent lifestyle changes, although individual diets can affect people differently and should ideally be followed with appropriate professional guidance. For now, Faisal Rao’s transformation continues to generate conversation, with fans and social media users debating his new appearance. Whether people prefer his previous look or his slimmer physique, there is little doubt that his weight-loss journey has resulted in a noticeable change. As Nadia continues to share glimpses of their personal and professional lives, Faisal’s latest transformation has become another talking point for their online audience.

  • Australia bans AI-generated music from charts after Madonna cover controversy

Australian music charts have banned AI-generated music from the beginning of this week following controversy over an Australian DJ’s cover of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”. The country’s leading music industry trade group, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), announced on Tuesday that AI-generated music tracks would no longer be eligible for the ARIA Charts. Only recordings in which AI is used in a supporting role will remain eligible, ARIA said. AI-generated music is growing in popularity, while major global record labels have been seeking new licensing arrangements to protect their extensive music catalogues. Artists and users have also called for measures to distinguish AI-generated material from human-composed music. “The ARIA Charts will always remain a transparent measurement of the music Australia consumes, but a chart that rewards unlicensed AI output would undercut the very basis of the recorded music industry we exist to represent,” ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said. Popular songs and albums released on platforms including Apple Music and Spotify are monitored and collected by ARIA for its charts. Several producers claimed that AI-generated music had been used in Queensland-based DJ Josh Fawaz’s cover of Madonna’s 1989 hit “Like a Prayer”. The song became one of the most-played tracks on Australian radio and reached No. 4 on two ARIA charts in July. Fawaz said in response to comments from Thomas that he used AI “as a tool, it’s not that deep”. He added that he had been releasing music for a long time before the emergence of AI and wanted to give his listeners “good music”. Representatives of Madonna did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside normal response hours. Musicians, songwriters and producers have urged governments to take steps to protect their creative work while criticising the use of AI-generated music without permission. Mark Seymour, singer and guitarist of Australian rock band Hunters & Collectors, said companies were using artists’ creative work without payment or permission. He added that the value of artists’ creative investment should “never be threatened”. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has assured artists that the government would take steps to protect ownership of their work. The ARIA decision comes amid growing debate worldwide over the use of artificial intelligence in music and concerns among artists and rights holders about copyright, licensing and the use of creative work to develop AI-generated content.

Ramsha Khan addresses pardah and privacy at sister’s wedding

Ramsha Khan and Khushhal Khan are among the most recognised names associated with Pakistan’s current drama industry. The two actors appeared together in popular projects including Duniyapur and Biryani, and their on-screen chemistry eventually became the subject of considerable public interest. Their relationship reportedly developed away from the spotlight before they surprised fans with news of their marriage. Following her marriage, Ramsha Khan has largely stepped away from the entertainment industry and social media. The actress has also indicated that she does not wish to continue appearing in front of cameras, choosing instead to focus on her personal life away from the public eye. However, her absence recently became a topic of discussion after her sister Alysha Khan’s wedding. Alysha, who is known as an influencer, had a relatively public wedding celebration, with several moments from the festivities making their way onto social media. Ramsha, however, was noticeably absent from most of the events. The actress was reportedly spotted at only one function, where she appeared wearing a mask and goggles. Her unusual appearance immediately caught the attention of social media users and sparked speculation about the reason behind her decision to cover her face. Some users began questioning whether Ramsha’s husband, Khushhal Khan, or her new family had placed restrictions on her public appearances. The speculation quickly turned into another controversy, with several people discussing the couple’s personal choices and questioning why Ramsha was maintaining such a high level of privacy. Amid the growing discussion, Ramsha Khan has now addressed the matter in an exclusive conversation with Hassan Chaudhary of Something Haute. According to the statement shared by Hassan, Ramsha clarified that neither her husband nor her in-laws have imposed restrictions on her. Ramsha reportedly explained that her decision is entirely personal. She simply does not want to appear on camera anymore and has no desire to remain part of the public spotlight. She also expressed that she does not want people using hashtags associated with her name or turning her private life into a subject of constant online discussion. The actress is said to be content with her married life and wants to live as a private citizen rather than continue maintaining a celebrity image. Her decision appears to be based on her own preference for privacy rather than any restrictions imposed by her husband or family. Hassan Chaudhary’s revelation has since generated mixed reactions among social media users. While some people defended Ramsha’s choice and argued that she has every right to decide how much of her personal life she wants to share, others continued to question the way she appeared at her sister’s wedding. One social media user supported her decision, writing that Ramsha has the right to choose what she wants for herself. Another person, however, questioned her appearance at the wedding and sarcastically remarked that there was no need to cover herself so extensively at her own sister’s celebration. Others turned their attention toward Khushhal Khan, with one user suggesting that if Ramsha wants complete privacy, her husband should also consider maintaining the same level of distance from the public eye. The debate highlights the intense scrutiny celebrities can face even after choosing to step away from showbiz. While Ramsha Khan may no longer want the attention associated with her celebrity status, her personal choices continue to attract public interest. For now, her statement makes it clear that her decision to remain away from cameras is one she has made for herself, as she focuses on her marriage and private life away from the entertainment industry.

The drama did not provide a clear conclusion to their marital issues, leaving some viewers disappointed. Following the finale, social media was filled with reactions from viewers. Many fans praised the drama and said they would miss watching it every week. At the same time, several viewers felt that the ending was too sudden and that the makers could have given the finale more time to properly wrap up the different storylines. One viewer praised the overall drama but criticized the final episode for its continuity issues. According to the fan, the makers appeared to rush the ending, adding random scenes instead of properly concluding moments that had previously been mentioned. The viewer also felt that the final episodes deserved better execution. Another fan described Aik Mohabbat Aur as another impressive project for Ahad Raza Mir and praised his choice of scripts. The viewer recalled his previous acclaimed projects and said that although Aik Mohabbat Aur did not receive the level of hype it deserved, those who followed the drama genuinely enjoyed it. Some fans admitted that they initially believed Sonya would become the villain of the story but eventually came to appreciate her character and considered her one of the best characters in the drama. Maya Ali and Ahad Raza Mir’s chemistry and acting were also widely appreciated. Viewers praised their performances and the convincing portrayal of their relationship. Maya’s fashion choices in the drama also attracted compliments, with fans particularly admiring her dressing throughout the show. Overall, Aik Mohabbat Aur ended with a positive conclusion for its main couple, but the rushed execution and unresolved secondary storyline left viewers divided. Despite the criticism, the strong audience response shows that the drama managed to build a loyal fan base that will miss seeing its characters on screen.

Shahzeb Khanzada’s stance for women applauded by celebrities

Shahzeb Khanzada is one of Pakistan’s most prominent television anchors and journalists. He hosts his current affairs show every night, where he regularly discusses important national issues and highlights matters affecting ordinary citizens. Over the years, he has also become known for speaking openly about social injustices and calling attention to issues that often fail to receive the attention they deserve. At a time when concerns about violence, abuse and public safety are growing across the country, Khanzada recently used his platform to speak strongly against violence targeting women and children. His remarks came amid widespread public concern over a number of disturbing cases that have emerged in recent weeks, once again raising questions about the safety of vulnerable members of society. Khanzada strongly condemned violence against women and emphasized the responsibility of individuals and society to stand against such acts. He made it clear that remaining silent after becoming aware of violence against a woman cannot simply be treated as neutrality. According to his stance, people who know that a woman is being subjected to brutality but deliberately choose not to speak up also carry a moral responsibility for allowing such violence to continue. His comments struck a chord with many viewers and public figures. Several celebrities took to social media to appreciate the journalist for using his influential platform to address an issue that requires collective attention. They praised him for refusing to remain silent and for highlighting the importance of protecting women from violence and abuse. Actress Ayesha Omar was among those who appreciated Khanzada’s efforts. She thanked him for consistently speaking up on important social matters and acknowledged his willingness to address difficult subjects publicly. Her response reflected the sentiments of many people who believe that influential personalities have an important role to play in raising awareness about serious social problems. Politician and public figure Mussadiq Malek also expressed his support for Khanzada. He urged people to protect and stand behind individuals who use their platforms to speak against injustice. His comments further highlighted the importance of supporting voices that draw public attention to violence and social issues. Actress Samiya Mumtaz also praised Khanzada for raising his voice. She thanked him for speaking about the issue and joining the conversation surrounding violence against women. The reactions from these well-known personalities demonstrate how strongly Khanzada’s message resonated with people from different backgrounds. His comments have also sparked further discussion about the responsibility of media figures, celebrities and ordinary citizens in confronting violence. Cases involving women and children have repeatedly generated anger and concern across Pakistan, with social media often becoming a platform where people demand justice and accountability. However, public outrage alone cannot address the deeper problems behind such incidents. Greater awareness, responsible reporting, stronger legal protection and a willingness to intervene when someone is at risk are all important parts of creating a safer society. Khanzada’s stance has therefore received appreciation not only because he discussed a sensitive issue on television, but also because he emphasized the importance of refusing to normalize silence around violence. The support from celebrities such as Ayesha Omar, Mussadiq Malek and Samiya Mumtaz shows that his message has found an audience beyond his regular viewers. As conversations surrounding women’s safety and violence continue, Khanzada’s remarks have added another prominent voice to the growing demand for greater accountability and protection. His decision to use his platform for the issue has been widely appreciated by those who believe that speaking against injustice is an important responsibility of public figures.
