Mark Consuelos reveals why Kelly Ripa is missing f…

Fans tuning in to Live with Kelly and Mark this week quickly noticed that Kelly Ripa was absent from her usual spot beside husband and co-host Mark Consuelos. Addressing viewers at the start of the show, Consuelos explained that Ripa is taking time off to recover from a painful gum graft surgery and is following strict medical advice as she heals.  Opening Monday’s episode alongside guest co-host Kevin Jonas, Consuelos reassured fans that Ripa is doing well despite the discomfort. “Kelly sends her love,” he said before revealing that she had recently undergone the dental procedure. He added that doctors have instructed her not to talk during her recovery, making it impossible for her to return to the show until she has healed properly.  According to Consuelos, Ripa’s dentist first recommended the surgery nearly five years ago. At the time, she decided to postpone it, joking that she did not think she would still be hosting the daytime talk show years later. Now, with the procedure finally behind her, she is focused on following every instruction to ensure a smooth recovery.  Although Ripa is known for having an exceptionally high tolerance for pain, Consuelos admitted that this surgery has been especially challenging for her. He shared that she has been limited to soft foods and has even been warned not to inspect the surgical area while it heals. The television host also joked that staying quiet might be the hardest part for his famously talkative wife.  With Ripa temporarily sidelined, Live with Kelly and Mark has welcomed a lineup of celebrity guest hosts. Kevin Jonas stepped in to co-host the first episodes of the week, while Mila Kunis, Pamela Adlon and Scott Foley are also scheduled to appear alongside Consuelos during Ripa’s absence. The rotating guest hosts will keep the show running until she is ready to return.  A gum graft is a common dental procedure used to treat receding gums by attaching healthy gum tissue to areas where it has thinned. While the surgery helps protect teeth and improve long-term oral health, recovery can take one to two weeks and often requires patients to avoid talking, strenuous activity and certain foods.  For now, Ripa is expected to remain off the air for about a week while she continues healing at home. Consuelos assured viewers that she appreciates all the well wishes and looks forward to returning once she has fully recovered. Until then, fans can expect her husband to keep them updated while steering the show with a series of special guest co-hosts.

Suri Cruise legally drops famous surname as she em…

Suri Cruise has reportedly taken a significant personal step by legally changing her last name, marking a new chapter as she continues building her own identity. According to newly surfaced public records, the 20-year-old daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is now legally known as Suri Noelle, replacing the famous Cruise surname with her mother Katie Holmes’ middle name.  The legal name change came to light after voter registration records in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, showed Suri registered under the name Suri Noelle while attending Carnegie Mellon University. Under Pennsylvania law, voters must register using their legal name, confirming that the change had already been completed. Reports suggest the legal process likely took place in New York before she left for college, as no filing appears in Pennsylvania records.  Although the update has only recently attracted widespread attention, Suri has been using the name “Noelle” publicly for some time. She was listed as Suri Noelle in the program for her LaGuardia High School graduation in June 2024 and has continued using the name in college theater productions. The choice is widely viewed as a tribute to her mother, whose full name is Kate Noelle Holmes.  The name change has also renewed public interest in Suri’s relationship with her father. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorced in 2012, and Holmes has largely raised Suri out of the public spotlight ever since. Over the years, multiple reports have indicated that Suri and her father have remained estranged, although neither has publicly discussed the nature of their relationship.  Now entering adulthood, Suri appears focused on carving out her own path. She is currently studying musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University and has participated in several stage productions while maintaining a relatively private life. Friends and supporters say she has chosen to concentrate on her education and creative ambitions rather than the intense media attention that has followed her since birth.  Katie Holmes has often spoken proudly about her daughter, describing this period as an exciting time of growth and self-discovery. While Holmes has generally avoided discussing Suri’s personal decisions, she has consistently supported her daughter’s independence and privacy.  Neither Tom Cruise nor Katie Holmes has publicly commented on the legal name change. Still, the decision marks an important milestone for Suri as she steps further into adulthood. By choosing the name Suri Noelle, she appears to be embracing an identity that reflects her own journey while honoring the close bond she shares with her mother.

Justin Baldoni’s company ordered to pay New York…

Justin Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, has suffered another legal setback after a New York court ordered it to pay more than $171,000 in legal fees to The New York Times. The ruling comes after the studio’s defamation lawsuit against the newspaper was dismissed, marking the latest chapter in the long-running legal battle connected to the It Ends With Us controversy.  According to court documents, Justice Gerald Lebovits ordered Wayfarer Studios to pay $171,616.20 to cover a large portion of the newspaper’s attorney fees. The award stems from New York’s anti-SLAPP law, which is designed to protect journalists and media organizations from lawsuits that attempt to silence reporting on matters of public interest.  The dispute began after The New York Times published a December 2024 investigative report examining allegations made by actress Blake Lively regarding the production of It Ends With Us. The article detailed claims of sexual harassment and workplace retaliation and included allegations that a public relations campaign had been used to damage Lively’s reputation after she raised concerns.  In response, Wayfarer Studios filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against the newspaper, arguing that the report relied on misleading information and unfairly portrayed Baldoni and the company. However, the case was dismissed in 2025 after a judge concluded that The New York Times had acted within the protections afforded to journalists reporting on issues of public concern. The court also found that Wayfarer had failed to provide sufficient evidence to support its defamation claims.  After winning the case, The New York Times sought reimbursement for the legal costs it incurred while defending itself. Although the newspaper initially requested more than $181,000 in attorney fees, the judge approved a slightly lower amount of $171,616.20. The court also rejected Wayfarer Studios’ request to delay the payment while pursuing an appeal, noting that a previous settlement had effectively waived that option.  The latest ruling adds to a difficult period for Baldoni and his production company, which have been involved in several high-profile legal disputes connected to It Ends With Us. While many of those matters have now been resolved or settled, the financial consequences continue to unfold.  Neither Justin Baldoni nor Wayfarer Studios had publicly commented on the latest order at the time of publication. Meanwhile, The New York Times welcomed the outcome, maintaining that its reporting was accurate, responsibly sourced and protected under the law.

Camila Mendes breaks silence on eating disorder an…

Camila Mendes is opening up about one of the most difficult periods of her life, revealing that the intense pressure she experienced while filming the first season of Riverdale contributed to an eating disorder relapse and frequent panic attacks. The actress shared her emotional story during a recent appearance on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, where she reflected on the challenges of navigating fame at a young age.  Mendes, 32, explained that her struggle was fueled by perfectionism and the constant pressure to look flawless on camera. She admitted that she felt she had to be at her best every single day, both in terms of her performance and appearance, leaving little room for mistakes or emotional vulnerability. Those expectations, she said, intensified body image issues that had first developed during her high school years.  The Riverdale star recalled watching episodes of the show and becoming overly critical of her appearance. She said she would focus on perceived flaws instead of appreciating her work, which only worsened her unhealthy relationship with food and her body. Mendes described feeling “disgusting” on camera at times, admitting that the relentless self-criticism played a major role in triggering her eating disorder.  Alongside the eating disorder, Mendes revealed that she also experienced panic attacks while working on the hit CW series. She explained that the demanding filming schedule often left her with little time to process her emotions. Whenever she felt overwhelmed, she struggled to express what she was going through because she did not want to delay production or let the cast and crew down.  As the pressure mounted, Mendes was eventually prescribed anti-anxiety medication to help her cope. Looking back, she admitted that while the medication helped her continue working, it also left her feeling emotionally numb. She now believes it was a temporary solution rather than a long-term answer to what she was experiencing.  Despite the difficult memories, Mendes emphasized that she does not view her Riverdale journey negatively. She said she still treasures many experiences from the seven-season series and remains grateful for the opportunities it gave her. However, she acknowledged that being in her early 20s and having little control over her schedule made the experience far more challenging than it might have been later in life.  Today, Mendes says she has developed a healthier relationship with herself by prioritizing mental well-being over perfection. By sharing her story, she hopes others facing similar struggles understand they are not alone and that recovery is possible. Her candid reflections also highlight the hidden pressures that many young actors face behind the scenes, reminding fans that even successful stars can quietly battle anxiety, self-doubt and body image issues while pursuing their dreams.

Forensic probe advances Momina Iqbal case

New developments have been reported in the ongoing case involving actor Momina Iqbal and PML-N lawmaker Saqib Chadhar. Momina recently shared a post on social media suggesting that forensic evidence has strengthened her case. She described the latest progress as another step toward justice. The case is being investigated by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). It involves allegations of cyber harassment, intimidation and threats. Momina had approached the authorities after accusing Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Samira Chadhar, of harassment and other alleged offences. During the latest court proceedings, the investigation officer informed the Lahore sessions court that the investigation involving Saqib Chadhar had been completed. The officer also told the court that Samira Chadhar had submitted her mobile phone to the NCCIA. The device is reportedly being examined as part of the forensic investigation. Momina’s lawyer, Adnan Ahsan, asked the court to withdraw the interim bail granted to the accused. He argued that allowing them to remain free could pose a security concern for the actor. The investigation has focused heavily on digital evidence. Mobile phones and other electronic material have been examined as authorities work to establish the facts surrounding the allegations. The dispute became a legal matter after Momina accused the couple of harassment and threats. The allegations reportedly include cyber harassment, stalking, intimidation and blackmail. The accused have denied the allegations and obtained interim pre-arrest bail while the legal proceedings continue. Momina’s latest statement has drawn attention to the progress of the investigation. However, her reference to the accused being “proven guilty” reflects her position and does not constitute a final judicial verdict. The court will ultimately determine the legal status of the allegations after considering the investigation and evidence presented before it. The forensic examination of digital devices remains an important part of the case. Investigators are expected to assess the material recovered during the probe before the matter proceeds further.

Sultan Rahi’s son lashes out at Firdous Jamal

Actor Haider Sultan, the son of legendary Pakistani film icon Sultan Rahi, has strongly criticised veteran actor Firdous Jamal over his recent comments about his late father. The controversy began after Firdous Jamal appeared on Public Demand and questioned Sultan Rahi’s acting abilities, prompting Haider to respond through a video shared on his TikTok account. Sultan Rahi remains one of Pakistan’s most celebrated film stars, having appeared in more than 800 Punjabi films during his illustrious career. He dominated both Punjabi and Urdu cinema for decades before his tragic death in 1996, when he was killed by unidentified assailants. His son, Haider Sultan, later followed in his footsteps by pursuing a career in television and film. In his TikTok video, Haider expressed anger over Firdous Jamal’s remarks and questioned why the veteran actor had spoken about his father in such a manner. He said, “Unnecessary things were said about my father. Firdous Jamal, you are a senior, a so-called TV artist, but who are you to speak about my father?” Continuing his criticism, Haider alleged that Jamal’s personal habits had affected his judgement. He stated, “Pride has ruined your life and your Hereafter. Your brain cells are dead because of consuming alcohol all the time. Before speaking about legends, you should first look at yourself. You have lost your senses.” Defending his father’s legacy, Haider described Sultan Rahi as both an exceptional artist and a remarkable person. He said, “Sultan Rahi was a great actor and a wonderful human being. The whole world acknowledges his contributions. Your ranting will not make him any less of a legend or an artist.” Haider also credited his father with playing a major role in sustaining Pakistan’s film industry during its most successful years. He remarked, “He kept the film industry alive, worked hard on his own, and elevated Pakistani cinema. You should be ashamed of yourself.” He further added, “Even your family has disowned you.” The actor did not limit his criticism to Firdous Jamal alone. He also criticised Public Demand producer Tahir Sarwat Mir for allowing the comments to be broadcast. Haider said, “I also have complaints against the show’s producer, Tahir Sarwat Mir, for allowing such obnoxious remarks to be aired about the person who treated him as his son.” He concluded his response by saying, “People may laugh at these comments, but everyone is condemning you. Who are you? ARY or Geo News? No, you are just a cheap Media group.” The dispute began after Firdous Jamal stated on Public Demand that Sultan Rahi “didn’t have any craft” and described him as “just a loud actor with a lot of energy.” His remarks quickly sparked debate online, with many fans defending Sultan Rahi’s legacy and criticising the veteran actor’s assessment. Haider Sultan’s emotional response has since gone viral on social media, where supporters have praised him for standing up for his father’s contribution to Pakistani cinema.

Nadia Khan addresses divorce rumours with social media post

Pakistani television host and actress Nadia Khan has seemingly dismissed recent rumours about trouble in her marriage by sharing a photograph with her husband, Faisal Rao, on social media. The post came after several YouTubers claimed that the couple had separated, sparking widespread speculation online. Nadia Khan is one of Pakistan’s most recognisable television personalities. She has appeared in dramas including Des Pardes, Bandhan, Manzilen, Kaisi Aurat Hoon Main, Dolly Darling, Kumzarf and Aesi Hai Tanhai. She is also known for her candid opinions on the entertainment industry through programmes such as Kya Drama Hai and Rise & Shine. Beyond television, Nadia enjoys a strong digital presence through her YouTube channel, OutStyle with Nadia, and has more than 2.6 million followers on Instagram. The actress married retired Pakistan Air Force officer Faisal Rao in January 2021. Since then, the couple has been living in Karachi and has largely kept their personal life away from the public eye. Although Nadia remains active on social media, she rarely shares family-related content and has stepped away from family vlogging because of her busy schedule with Kya Drama Hai and Rise & Shine. In recent days, Nadia’s limited posts about her personal life led to speculation from several YouTube channels, which claimed that she and Faisal Rao had divorced. Among those making the claim was YouTuber Mehreen Sibtain, while other content creators also repeated similar allegations. The rumours quickly spread across social media, prompting discussion among fans. Despite the growing speculation, Nadia chose not to issue a direct statement or publicly address the claims. Instead, after the rumours gained traction online, she shared a photograph with her husband on her Instagram Story. The image, posted around six hours before Reviewit published its report, appeared to reassure followers that the couple remains together. While Nadia did not write a lengthy caption or explicitly mention the divorce rumours, many social media users interpreted the post as her response to the ongoing speculation. Fans described the picture as a subtle but effective way of putting an end to the claims without engaging in unnecessary controversy. The actress has previously maintained that she prefers to keep her personal life private despite her public career. Over the years, she has focused her online presence primarily on her professional work, television appearances and lifestyle content rather than regularly sharing details about her family life. Following the Instagram Story, many of Nadia’s followers criticised the spread of unverified rumours and urged social media users to avoid believing claims that are not confirmed by the individuals involved. The shared photograph has since been widely viewed as Nadia Khan’s way of dismissing the divorce speculation, with no evidence supporting the claims that she and Faisal Rao have ended their marriage.

Court rules d4vd will stand trial in teen murder case

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that there is sufficient evidence for singer d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, to stand trial in the murder case of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The decision followed a five-day preliminary hearing during which prosecutors presented forensic evidence, text messages and witness testimony related to the teenager’s death. Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges. According to court proceedings, Burke is facing charges including first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. Prosecutors allege he killed Rivas Hernandez in April 2025 after she threatened to expose their alleged illegal relationship, which they claim could have damaged his rapidly rising music career. The court heard that the victim’s remains were discovered in September 2025 inside the trunk of a Tesla registered to Burke after authorities investigated a foul odour coming from the vehicle. Medical examiners later ruled the teenager’s death a homicide. Prosecutors also presented evidence they say links Burke to the crime, including DNA findings, electronic communications and purchases allegedly connected to the disposal of the body. During the hearing, prosecutors also introduced text messages exchanged between Burke and Rivas Hernandez that allegedly discussed pregnancy and abortion. Additional evidence included explicit photographs recovered from Burke’s phone and digital accounts, which prosecutors argue support their claim that the pair had an illegal sexual relationship before the teenager’s death. Burke’s defence team argued that prosecutors had failed to establish evidence of premeditated murder and maintained that the singer is innocent. His lawyers insisted the evidence presented does not prove he intentionally killed the teenager and said they will continue to challenge the prosecution’s case at trial. Burke has consistently denied all allegations since his arrest earlier this year. After reviewing the evidence, the judge ruled that prosecutors had presented enough material for the case to proceed before a jury. The decision means Burke will now face a full criminal trial, where prosecutors will be required to prove their allegations beyond a reasonable doubt. He remains in custody without bail pending further proceedings. The case has attracted widespread attention because of Burke’s rapid rise in the music industry before his arrest. Prosecutors contend that the alleged murder was committed to prevent Rivas Hernandez from revealing details of their relationship, while the defence maintains that Burke has been wrongly accused. Burke is expected to be arraigned on August 31, with the trial likely to begin within the following weeks. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will seek the death penalty if he is convicted. Meanwhile, the family of Celeste Rivas Hernandez has welcomed the judge’s ruling, saying they are relieved the case will now move forward to trial.
