Chonburi School Strengthens Security Measures with Baggage Checks and Facial Scanning
CHONBURI, Thailand – In response to recent violent incidents in society that have raised concerns among parents, students, and the public, Chonkanyanukul School amongst others in Chonburi Province has upgraded its internal security measures. The enhanced protocols are designed to prevent potential incidents, deter copycat behavior, and build greater confidence among the school community.
School Director Mrs. Napaporn Mulmueang announced that the stricter measures took effect on August 10th, 2026. The school is intensifying inspections of students’ bags and personal belongings to identify any inappropriate or unauthorized items like weapons or vapes that are not permitted on campus.
Under the new entry procedures, all students must line up and enter the school gates in an orderly manner. They then place their bags and belongings at designated checkpoints, where teachers conduct thorough inspections before students proceed through the school’s facial recognition security system.
Chonkanyanukul School has called on students, parents, and all relevant parties to strictly adhere to these measures with understanding and cooperation. The primary goal is to create a safe environment for students, teachers, staff, and everyone who enters the school premises.
These steps are a proactive approach to safety, particularly at a time when educational institutions face diverse security risks. Combining physical baggage checks with facial scanning technology is intended to improve the overall effectiveness of campus security.
