Elizabeth Olsen makes rare appearance with newborn in Los Angeles

Elizabeth Olsen has made a rare public appearance with her newborn child in Los Angeles, weeks after reports emerged that the actress had quietly welcomed her first baby.

The WandaVision star was spotted taking a walk in Los Angeles on August 15. She appeared to be enjoying a relaxed outing with her newborn son while being accompanied by her partner, Robbie Arnett.

Olsen kept a low profile during the outing. She wore a wide-brimmed hat and appeared to take precautions to keep the baby protected from the sun. Arnett was seen walking alongside her as the family spent time outdoors.

The appearance comes around two months after reports surfaced that Olsen was expecting her first child. The actress had not publicly announced her pregnancy at the time.

Neither Olsen nor Arnett has officially confirmed details surrounding the baby’s arrival. The couple has also kept information about the child’s name, gender and birth date private.

The latest photographs are therefore being viewed as the strongest public indication that the couple has welcomed their first child.

Olsen has previously spoken about the possibility of becoming a mother. In a 2021 conversation with SiriusXM, she discussed the challenge of balancing her acting career with the possibility of having children.

The actress also recalled speaking with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about how pregnancy could affect her professional commitments while working in the entertainment industry.

In December 2025, Olsen reportedly reflected on motherhood and marriage during a podcast appearance. She said she had once been uncertain about whether she wanted to get married or have children. Her relationship with Arnett eventually influenced how she viewed those possibilities.

Olsen and Arnett have maintained a notably private relationship. The couple began dating in 2017 and became engaged in 2019.

They later married privately before the COVID-19 pandemic, with Olsen eventually confirming the marriage during interviews.

The couple has generally avoided putting their personal life in the spotlight. They have preferred spending private time together rather than frequently appearing at public events.

The second phase of the 2026 Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly elections concluded with voters casting their ballots across multiple constituencies under heightened security. Preliminary and unofficial results indicated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured victories in several constituencies, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also registered wins in selected seats. Election authorities continued the counting process as additional results were awaited. More than one million registered voters were eligible to participate in the second phase of the elections. Polling stations were established across the region and in designated constituencies for Kashmiri refugees residing in different parts of Pakistan. In some areas, polling hours were extended to facilitate voters and improve participation. According to preliminary results, PML-N emerged as the leading party in the declared constituencies, strengthening its position in the AJK Assembly. PPP candidates also secured victories in several constituencies, while independent candidates and representatives of other political parties remained competitive in a number of closely contested seats. Final official results are expected after the Election Commission completes the consolidation process. Election day remained largely peaceful, although reports of isolated clashes were received from a few constituencies. Media reports stated that one political worker lost his life during an incident, while several others, including a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, were reportedly injured in separate firing incidents. Authorities are expected to investigate these events, while political parties have urged supporters to remain calm. Security arrangements remained a key feature of the electoral process, with thousands of police personnel deployed at polling stations. Sensitive locations received additional security to ensure the smooth conduct of voting. In one constituency, polling was postponed because of adverse weather conditions and landslides, with the Election Commission announcing a revised polling date. The AJK elections are considered an important indicator of the political landscape in the region. As official results continue to emerge, attention will remain focused on the final distribution of seats and the formation of the next government. Political analysts believe the outcome could influence future policy discussions and shape the region’s governance in the coming years.

Billie Eilish leaves music behind for bold new Hol…

Billie Eilish is proving that her creative journey extends far beyond music. The Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer has officially stepped into the world of feature films, and the first photos from the set of The Bell Jar have left fans doing a double take. Known for her signature oversized outfits and edgy style, Eilish appears almost unrecognizable as she transforms into Esther Greenwood, the troubled yet ambitious writer at the heart of Sylvia Plath’s classic novel.  The newly released set images showcase a dramatic makeover. Eilish sports auburn brown hair styled in a polished 1950s fashion, bold red lipstick, pearl earrings, and elegant vintage-inspired clothing. The striking look is a complete departure from the singer’s everyday appearance, highlighting her commitment to bringing the beloved literary character to life. Fans have praised the transformation, calling it one of the most surprising celebrity makeovers of the year.  Directed and adapted by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Sarah Polley, The Bell Jar marks Eilish’s first leading role in a feature film. The story follows Esther Greenwood, a young aspiring writer navigating ambition, identity, and personal struggles in the 1950s. Widely regarded as Sylvia Plath’s most famous work, the novel remains one of literature’s most influential coming-of-age stories. The film also stars Carey Mulligan as Esther’s mother, adding even more star power to the highly anticipated adaptation.  Although this is Eilish’s feature film debut, she is no stranger to acting. She previously appeared in the television series Swarm, where she surprised audiences with her performance. However, The Bell Jar represents her biggest acting challenge to date, placing her at the center of an emotionally demanding story that has captivated readers for decades.  For Eilish, this project signals an exciting new chapter in an already remarkable career. After dominating the music industry with chart-topping albums, multiple Grammy Awards, and two Oscars for Best Original Song, she is now exploring a different form of storytelling. While fans eagerly await her next musical release, many are equally excited to see whether she can achieve the same success on the big screen. Filming is currently underway in Toronto, and while an official release date has not yet been announced, the early images have already generated significant buzz. If her striking transformation is any indication, Billie Eilish’s Hollywood journey is off to an unforgettable start.

Peshawar High Court orders decision on Afghan busi…

The Peshawar High Court has issued a written judgment regarding a petition filed against the non-extension of visas for an Afghan businessman and his family members. The court has directed the relevant authorities to decide the applicant’s visa extension case within 15 days in accordance with the law. According to the written decision issued by the High Court, the petitioner is a registered taxpayer with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The applicant possesses a National Tax Number (NTN) and is also a member of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The court observed that the applicant has established business ties and fulfills the necessary legal requirements as a registered member of the business community. The judgment stated that the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, Islamabad, failed to make a timely decision on the visa extension applications submitted by the petitioner. Due to the delay in processing the applications, the applicant and his family have faced difficulties and uncertainty regarding their legal status in Pakistan. The court emphasized that government authorities are required to make decisions within a reasonable period and in accordance with the provisions of the law. The judgment noted that the applicants had submitted proper applications for visa extensions after the expiry of their previous visa periods. Therefore, their pending applications should have been considered and decided promptly by the relevant department. The Peshawar High Court further directed the concerned authorities to review the pending visa extension requests and issue a detailed decision within 15 days. The court made it clear that the decision must be based on legal principles and should address all relevant aspects of the applicants’ cases. The court’s order highlights the importance of timely administrative decisions, particularly in matters involving foreign nationals who are legally residing and conducting business activities in Pakistan. Delays in such cases can create serious challenges for individuals, including difficulties related to travel, business operations, documentation, and compliance with immigration requirements. The judgment also reflects the court’s view that individuals who meet legal obligations, such as tax registration and business registration, deserve a fair and timely review of their applications. The authorities have been instructed to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure that administrative procedures are completed within the timeframe prescribed by law. The case was brought before the High Court after the applicant’s visa extension requests remained unresolved despite the submission of formal applications. The petitioner argued that the delay by immigration authorities had caused hardship for him and his family. After examining the facts of the case, the court issued directions to ensure that the pending matters are resolved without further delay. The written decision of the Peshawar High Court serves as a reminder that government departments must act efficiently and transparently when dealing with legal applications. The court’s order does not grant an automatic visa extension but requires the authorities to make a proper and lawful decision on the pending applications within the specified 15-day period.
