Another exciting chapter in the Star Wars universe is officially on its way, with fans getting a fresh look at the upcoming instalment of Ahsoka. Disney unveiled the official trailer on Friday, August 14, offering viewers a glimpse at the major battles, returning characters and new threats that will shape the story.

The upcoming film features Rosario Dawson returning as Ahsoka Tano, while the story expands the conflict between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. Grand Admiral Thrawn once again emerges as a major threat, bringing renewed danger to the galaxy as the New Republic struggles to contain the growing power of the Empire and the Nightsisters.

The trailer also highlights Ahsoka and Sabine Wren’s continuing journey on Peridea, a mysterious world located in another galaxy. Their adventures are expected to play an important role in the new story, while the expanding conflict promises to bring several familiar Star Wars elements back into the spotlight.

Among the biggest talking points surrounding the new instalment is the potential return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. McGregor previously portrayed the legendary Jedi throughout the Star Wars prequel trilogy and later reprised the role in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Fans have continued to hope that McGregor could return for another season of the series, particularly after his emotional reunion with Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker. However, McGregor recently admitted that there does not appear to be any major progress toward another season.

“There seems to be no — I don’t know of any — progress in that direction,” the actor said while discussing the possibility of returning as Obi-Wan.

McGregor nevertheless remains hopeful that more stories featuring the character could eventually be told. He suggested that there are still interesting possibilities for the beloved Jedi, leaving the door open for a future appearance.

Although a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi may not happen soon, fans have not given up hope of seeing McGregor in the role again. His potential involvement in future Star Wars projects continues to generate excitement, especially as the franchise explores new timelines and characters.

The upcoming story is also expected to include live-action flashbacks involving Ahsoka and Anakin during the Clone Wars. These sequences could provide additional insight into their relationship and Ahsoka’s development as a Jedi.

With the return of Ahsoka, Sabine and Thrawn, along with the continuing Imperial threat and possible connections to Anakin and Obi-Wan, the new instalment is shaping up to be a major event for Star Wars fans.

Bangladesh has formally requested Hasina’s extradition to face legal proceedings. Tomato prices also increased sharply by 93.21%, while flour became 62.25% more expensive during the same period. Fuel prices also witnessed substantial increases. According to the PBS, LPG became 51.69% more expensive over the year. Diesel prices increased by 33.08%, while petrol became 27.65% more expensive. The rise in fuel prices can also affect transportation and the cost of goods and services. Several meat and fruit prices also increased during the year. The price of bananas rose by 17.66%, while mutton became 15.98% more expensive. Beef prices increased by 13.54%, adding to the cost of commonly consumed food items. However, some essential commodities became cheaper during the same period. Potato prices declined by 30%, while sugar became 19.10% cheaper. Chicken prices also decreased by 17.68%, providing some relief to consumers. The statistics also showed a decline in the prices of eggs and pulses. Egg prices fell by 17.41% over the year, while chana dal became more than 13% cheaper. Masoor dal prices declined by 12.29%, while jaggery became 6% cheaper. The latest figures show mixed price trends in the country. While consumers received some relief from lower prices of potatoes, sugar, chicken, eggs and pulses, sharp increases in onions, tomatoes, flour and fuel continued to add pressure to household expenses. The data highlights the significant changes in the prices of everyday necessities over the past year.

Beneath its lifelike silicone skin lies an intricate mechanical system powered by 25 to 42 ultra-quiet micro motors, depending on the model. This sophisticated design allows the robot to produce smooth and realistic expressions instead of the rigid movements commonly associated with traditional robots. The robot’s eyes are equally advanced. Hidden within its pupils are tiny cameras that enable it to observe and analyze its surroundings. These cameras help the robot detect objects, monitor movement, and better understand the environment, allowing it to respond more intelligently during interactions. To further enhance communication, the Origin M1 is equipped with built-in microphones and speakers. These components allow the robot to hear human voices, process spoken language, and engage in conversations. This combination of vision, hearing, and expressive facial movements brings the robot much closer to human-like communication than previous generations of humanoid technology. However, such cutting-edge innovation comes at a premium price. The most advanced version of the Origin M1 is currently available for approximately US$150,000, making it suitable primarily for research institutions, technology companies, and specialized industrial applications rather than everyday consumers. Looking ahead, AgiBot Farm plans to make the robot even more intelligent by integrating lip-sync technology and large language models (LLMs). These upgrades will enable the robot not only to understand spoken language more effectively but also to generate facial expressions that match the tone, emotion, and context of a conversation. As a result, future versions of the Origin M1 could communicate in a way that feels increasingly natural, empathetic, and human. The development of robots like the Origin M1 highlights the rapid pace of artificial intelligence and robotics.     CBFC orders cuts in Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 b…

    Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited film Awarapan 2 has officially received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), but only after several significant edits were made. The film has been awarded a U/A 16+ certificate, allowing viewers aged 16 and above to watch it under parental guidance. The CBFC approved the film on August 5, 2026, with a final runtime of 140 minutes and 20 seconds. However, before granting certification, the board instructed the filmmakers to implement changes at nine different points throughout the movie. According to reports, the CBFC asked the makers to tone down violent sequences, remove certain objectionable words from both the audio and subtitles, and include mandatory health warnings related to smoking and drug use. In addition, the certification body required a warning related to child trafficking to be included in the film.     Unesco reports 2.4 million Afghan girls barred from secondary education under Taliban rule
