Fawad Khan’s new look sparks cosmetic procedure speculation

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has once again become the center of attention, but this time it is not for a new drama or film announcement. The acclaimed star’s latest appearance has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans debating his noticeably refreshed look.

Fawad Khan has long been regarded as one of Pakistan’s most celebrated actors. He rose to fame with the blockbuster drama Humsafar, which established him as a household name across South Asia. He later delivered memorable performances in hit television serials including Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Dastaan, Akbari Asghari, Ashk, Kuch Pyar Ka Pagal Pan Bhi Tha, and Jutt and Bond. His success also extended to films, with notable projects such as Khuda Kay Liye and The Legend of Maula Jatt.

The actor also built a strong fan base in India after appearing in Bollywood films Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons. He is now preparing for several major international and local projects, including an upcoming Netflix series and two feature films.

Fawad is currently filming a new movie alongside actress Ayeza Khan, in which he reportedly portrays a security forces officer. As part of his character’s transformation, he has adopted a much shorter hairstyle, giving him a distinctly different appearance from his previous public looks.

Recent photos and videos from the film’s production have quickly gone viral across social media platforms. While many fans admired his new hairstyle and youthful appearance, others began speculating that he may have undergone subtle cosmetic enhancements.

The actor’s smoother facial features and refreshed look prompted online discussions, with some social media users suggesting that treatments such as Botox or dermal fillers could have contributed to the change. Others believed his appearance was simply the result of professional grooming, better lighting, makeup, or natural aging.

Several fans also noticed that Fawad appears slimmer than before. His visible weight loss led to further speculation, with some users wondering whether it could be related to lifestyle changes or health management. Others even guessed that weight-loss medication might have played a role. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding these claims.

Comments on social media reflected a wide range of opinions. Some users praised the actor for looking fresh and stylish, while others expressed surprise at how different he appeared. A few jokingly asked for the name of the cosmetic surgeon they believed had enhanced his appearance, while others insisted the transformation was likely due to his haircut and overall styling rather than cosmetic procedures.

Despite the speculation, Fawad Khan has not addressed the online discussion or commented on rumors regarding cosmetic treatments. As a result, all claims circulating on social media remain unverified.

For now, the actor remains focused on his upcoming projects, with fans eagerly awaiting his return to both television and cinema. Whether the change is simply a new hairstyle, a result of weight loss, or something else entirely, Fawad Khan’s latest look has certainly generated significant buzz online and once again demonstrated his ability to capture public attention.

    Lavrov’s ‘nice hairstyle’ reply …

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has gone viral on social media after responding to a journalist’s tough foreign policy questions with an unexpected compliment instead of an answer. The unusual moment took place during the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila, Philippines, where Lavrov was approached by reporters following official meetings. A female journalist pressed the veteran diplomat with a series of sensitive questions covering Russia’s alleged support for Iran and Moscow’s position on ending the war in Ukraine. The reporter first asked whether Russia was helping Iran target American troops amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. She then followed up by asking if Moscow was prepared to agree to a ceasefire and peace negotiations with Ukraine. Rather than addressing either question, Lavrov continued walking calmly toward an elevator without breaking stride. As he reached the elevator doors, he briefly turned toward the journalist, smiled, and delivered a single unexpected remark. “Your hairstyle looks great,” he said before stepping into the elevator, leaving the reporter’s questions unanswered. The brief exchange was captured on camera and quickly spread across social media platforms, where it attracted millions of views and sparked widespread debate. Many users described Lavrov’s response as a classic example of diplomatic deflection, arguing that the seasoned foreign minister deliberately avoided commenting on politically sensitive issues without appearing confrontational. Others found the moment humorous, praising his composure and quick wit under pressure. Some social media users, however, criticized the response, saying it sidestepped important questions about international security and ongoing conflicts. The clip generated mixed reactions, with supporters calling it a clever diplomatic maneuver while critics argued that public officials should provide direct answers on major global issues. Lavrov, one of Russia’s longest-serving diplomats, is well known for his measured public appearances and his ability to navigate challenging media interactions. Throughout his career, he has frequently faced difficult questions from international journalists on issues ranging from the Ukraine conflict to Russia’s broader foreign policy. The latest viral moment once again highlighted how even a few unexpected words from a senior world leader can dominate online conversations. Whether viewed as a calculated diplomatic tactic, a light-hearted joke, or simply an attempt to avoid controversy, Lavrov’s short reply transformed an ordinary media encounter into one of the most talked-about moments of the ASEAN Regional Forum, proving that sometimes a single sentence can make bigger headlines than a lengthy press conference.

Iran warns US of retaliation if nuclear sites are …

TEHRAN: Iran has issued a fresh and stern warning to the United States, declaring that any military strike on its nuclear facilities would trigger a direct response against American interests and those of its allies across the Middle East, raising fears of a wider regional conflict. The warning came on Tuesday from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the country’s top joint military command, amid growing tensions following recent statements by US President Donald Trump. In an official statement, the military command said that any attack targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure would not remain limited in scope and would instead lead to a dangerous expansion of conflict throughout the region. Iranian commanders stressed that the United States and its regional allies would bear the consequences of such military action, warning that their strategic interests could become legitimate targets if Iranian nuclear sites were attacked. The latest warning follows remarks by President Trump, who recently threatened military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, particularly the underground nuclear complex near Natanz. Trump claimed that an attack on the site could happen soon and asserted that Iran would be unable to stop it. His comments have further heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, which have remained locked in a prolonged confrontation over Iran’s nuclear programme and regional security issues. While Iranian officials insist their nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes, Western governments have repeatedly expressed concerns over Tehran’s uranium enrichment programme, leading to years of sanctions and diplomatic disputes. Security analysts believe that any direct strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities could dramatically escalate instability across the Middle East, potentially drawing multiple regional actors into a broader conflict and disrupting global energy markets. The latest exchange of threats underscores the fragile security situation in the region, with the international community closely monitoring developments amid growing fears that miscalculation by either side could spark a larger military confrontation.

Pakistan hails Hamas disarmament progress, under p…

Pakistan has welcomed recent progress under the Gaza Peace Plan, describing developments toward Hamas’ disarmament as a positive step that could help revive efforts for a lasting political solution and the creation of an independent Palestinian state. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye after US President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached for the complete disarmament of Hamas. The announcement is viewed as a significant breakthrough in implementing the Gaza ceasefire framework, as the issue of Hamas’ weapons has remained one of the main obstacles since the truce was reached in October 2025. In a statement shared on social media, the prime minister said Pakistan supports the ongoing work of the Board of Peace and expressed hope that all commitments under the Gaza Peace Plan would now move toward practical implementation. He emphasized that sustained diplomatic efforts should lead to a credible, time-bound political process in line with United Nations resolutions, ultimately ensuring the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination through the establishment of an independent state. According to Hamas officials, a committee operating under the Board of Peace will supervise the storage of the group’s weapons as part of the agreed process. The organization has also urged mediators to ensure that Israel fulfills its obligations under the ceasefire, including the withdrawal of its forces from Gaza. Although the ceasefire has reduced large-scale fighting, violence has not completely stopped. Fresh Israeli strikes reportedly killed at least four Palestinians, including two children, highlighting the fragile security situation despite ongoing diplomatic efforts. Meanwhile, Egyptian media reported that Cairo is expected to host another meeting of the ceasefire mediators, including representatives from the United States, Qatar, and Türkiye, to discuss the next phase of the peace plan. Pakistan has consistently maintained its support for the Palestinian cause and continues to advocate for an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Islamabad, which has no diplomatic relations with Israel, has repeatedly urged the international community to work toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and adherence to international law.

JI announces nationwide shutter-down strike after …

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced a nationwide shutter-down strike after 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, as the party continues its protests against rising petroleum prices and the government’s petroleum levy. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, Hafiz Naeem said the JI’s sit-ins in provincial capitals had entered their eighth day and would continue until the government practically implemented the party’s demands. He rejected the idea of ending the protests solely on the basis of government assurances, saying the party wanted concrete action rather than promises. Hafiz Naeem called for a reduction in petroleum product prices and criticised what he described as excessive government expenditure. He also raised concerns over rising prices of essential commodities, saying flour and sugar mafias were making life difficult for ordinary citizens while farmers were struggling with expensive fertiliser. The JI chief said the nationwide shutter-down strike would be launched after Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which falls on August 26 this year. He warned that the party’s protest movement would not be called off until its demands were implemented. According to Hafiz Naeem, negotiations would no longer be based on requests for protesters to end their sit-ins in exchange for verbal commitments. JI workers have been holding demonstrations since August 16. Sit-ins are being staged outside the Punjab chief minister’s residence in Lahore and at governor houses in Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar. The protests come as consumers face growing pressure from fuel costs, inflation and high electricity bills. The government has also faced criticism following repeated increases in petroleum prices. The situation has become more challenging amid fluctuations in international oil prices linked to renewed tensions in the Middle East. Authorities have also moved from a 15-day fuel price review to a daily mechanism. The fuel price issue has triggered separate concerns among transporters and petroleum dealers. Earlier this week, the All Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance suspended a nationwide strike for 40 days after receiving assurances from the federal and Sindh governments regarding several demands, including petroleum pricing. The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has also pressed the government to resolve outstanding issues and honour previous commitments.

PML-N leads as second phase of AJK elections concl…

The second phase of the 2026 Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly elections concluded with voters casting their ballots across multiple constituencies under heightened security. Preliminary and unofficial results indicated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured victories in several constituencies, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also registered wins in selected seats. Election authorities continued the counting process as additional results were awaited. More than one million registered voters were eligible to participate in the second phase of the elections. Polling stations were established across the region and in designated constituencies for Kashmiri refugees residing in different parts of Pakistan. In some areas, polling hours were extended to facilitate voters and improve participation. According to preliminary results, PML-N emerged as the leading party in the declared constituencies, strengthening its position in the AJK Assembly. PPP candidates also secured victories in several constituencies, while independent candidates and representatives of other political parties remained competitive in a number of closely contested seats. Final official results are expected after the Election Commission completes the consolidation process. Election day remained largely peaceful, although reports of isolated clashes were received from a few constituencies. Media reports stated that one political worker lost his life during an incident, while several others, including a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, were reportedly injured in separate firing incidents. Authorities are expected to investigate these events, while political parties have urged supporters to remain calm. Security arrangements remained a key feature of the electoral process, with thousands of police personnel deployed at polling stations. Sensitive locations received additional security to ensure the smooth conduct of voting. In one constituency, polling was postponed because of adverse weather conditions and landslides, with the Election Commission announcing a revised polling date. The AJK elections are considered an important indicator of the political landscape in the region. As official results continue to emerge, attention will remain focused on the final distribution of seats and the formation of the next government. Political analysts believe the outcome could influence future policy discussions and shape the region’s governance in the coming years.
