‘Frozen 3’ first look teases Anna’s wedding, Elsa’s new mystery

“Frozen 3” has already generated significant buzz following its first official preview. Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel unveiled a glimpse of the highly anticipated sequel on Friday, August 14.

The reveal took place at Disney’s D23 event, held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Fans reacted with immediate excitement as details of the new film began circulating online.

The story is set to pick up directly from where the second film left off, following Anna and Elsa as their journey continues. As the sisters venture beyond Arendelle once again, they will face fresh mysteries and new challenges within the expanding magical world.

Kristen Bell returns as Anna, while Idina Menzel reprises her role as Elsa. Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad are also back, voicing Kristoff and Olaf respectively.

The first-look footage hinted at plenty of romance ahead, with Anna and Kristoff preparing for their wedding and honeymoon. Olaf, meanwhile, gets a lighthearted subplot of his own, introducing a new love interest named Samantha.

Alongside the romantic moments, the preview featured new original music, a striking aurora sequence, and glimpses of the wedding celebration itself. But the biggest twist came when Elsa discovers a mysterious stone capable of opening a portal to an unknown, snow-covered dimension.

Menzel described the new realm as far wilder and more dangerous than anything Elsa has ever created before. The footage closed with the arrival of a new, black-clad witch character, believed to be voiced by Greta Lee.

The original “Frozen,” released in 2013, followed Anna’s journey alongside Kristoff and his reindeer Sven as they set out to find her sister Elsa. Elsa’s icy powers had trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter, driving the story’s central conflict.

With romance, danger and a brand-new villain teased in the preview, anticipation for the threequel is already building. “Frozen 3” is currently scheduled for release on November 24, 2027, giving fans plenty of time to speculate about where the story goes next.

    KP sets 60% enrolment target for school dropouts

    The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a major initiative to bring millions of out-of-school children into the education system. The provincial government has started work on a comprehensive plan. The initiative will identify children who are not attending school and provide them with suitable educational opportunities. Officials from the education, local government, health and social welfare departments have signed a memorandum of understanding for the programme. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi was also present at the signing ceremony. Officials gave a detailed briefing on the initiative. They said a province-wide survey would be conducted to identify out-of-school children. The government will also develop a “One Map” system. The system will identify the number of children who are out of school. It will also show their locations. This data will help the authorities plan enrolment drives in areas where the need is greatest. According to figures presented during the briefing, around 4.9 million children in KP were out of school according to the 2023 census. The provincial education department has estimated the number at around 2.6 million. The government has set an initial target of bringing 60% of out-of-school children into the education system during the first phase. Officials said children under the age of five would also be included in the data collection process. Their information will help the government prepare future education plans and estimate upcoming enrolment needs. The programme will use different forms of education. Government schools will be used where possible. Community schools will also play a role. Double-shift schools will be introduced or expanded in areas facing limited capacity. Digital platforms will also be used to reach children who cannot easily access conventional schools. Poverty has been identified as one of the major reasons children leave school. The government plans to provide financial support to vulnerable families. Scholarships, Zakat funds and other assistance will be used to encourage children to remain in education. Scholarship payments will be linked to attendance. Officials said students would need to maintain at least 75% attendance to qualify for the scholarship payments. The programme will also focus on skills development. Children will receive technical and vocational training under the United Nations’ Generation Unlimited programme. The initiative is aimed not only at increasing school enrolment but also at improving the future employment prospects of young people. The government has also planned independent verification of the survey data. An independent organisation will verify 5% of the collected data to improve transparency and ensure that the figures accurately reflect the situation on the ground. Authorities said the survey would provide a clearer picture of the out-of-school population in the province. The data will then be used to design targeted education programmes.

    UK rapper Yung Filly acquitted of rape but convicted of assault in Western Australia

The jury remained hung on three additional counts of sexual penetration without consent. Barrientos, who denied all charges and maintained that the acts were consensual, wept as the decision was announced. He remains free on bail until 21 August, when a court date will be set to determine his sentencing for the assault convictions and decide whether prosecutors will seek a retrial on the unresolved rape charges.

    PESHAWAR: A seven-day youth festival bringing together young people from different parts of Pakistan, including a strong participation of women, was held at TMUC Peshawar with activities focused on skills development, entrepreneurship, technology and creative expression. FutureVerse 2026 was organised by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with The Order of Pen (TOOP). Over the course of seven days, the festival brought together participants from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the newly merged districts, as well as other parts of the country. The seven-day programme featured training sessions, competitions, workshops, exhibitions and interactive activities organised under five themes — FounderVerse, TechVerse, MindVerse, JusticeVerse and StyleVerse. Participants explored entrepreneurship, design thinking, robotics, personality development, fashion, art and other emerging fields. Industry professionals and mentors also engaged with participants during different sessions. A significant feature of the seven-day event was the participation of women from different backgrounds and regions. They took part in training sessions, competitions, creative activities and discussions covering technology, entrepreneurship, leadership and other emerging areas. Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Abbas Khan Afridi said the participation of young people from different parts of the country, particularly women, reflected the need for broader access to learning and professional opportunities.   “FutureVerse has provided young people with a space to learn, exchange ideas and explore their potential over seven days. The participation of women and young people from different regions is particularly encouraging. We want to create more opportunities where they can gain practical skills, connect with mentors and pursue their ambitions,” he said. Mr Afridi said the Directorate would continue to support initiatives that provide young people with access to skills, mentorship and practical exposure. The festival also allowed participants to compete, collaborate and showcase their work while interacting with peers from different educational, social and regional backgrounds. The organisers said the inclusion of participants from the newly merged districts and other parts of Pakistan was intended to widen access to youth-oriented programmes and encourage greater interaction among young people from diverse communities.
