Hua Hin flooding addressed on Soi 102
Hua Hin Municipality has carried out work to address Hua Hin flooding on Soi 102 after problems with standing water and slow drainage affected local roads and nearby agricultural areas.
Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul visited the area on Wednesday, 10 June, together with Deputy Mayor Sannaphop Ungratsamee, municipal council members, department heads and relevant officials.
The visit was held to monitor the situation and oversee work to open drainage channels in areas where water had built up and was not draining properly.
Municipal staff and machinery were deployed to dredge channels, clear waterways and improve drainage routes along the affected section of Soi 102.

Officials said the work was intended to improve the flow of water and reduce the risk of flooding on roads used by local residents, as well as in nearby agricultural areas.
During the inspection, Mr Nopporn also met residents in the area to hear their concerns and receive suggestions.
The municipality said information gathered during the visit would be used to support further planning and help guide future measures to deal with drainage problems in the area.
The work on Soi 102 forms part of the municipality’s response to localised flooding caused by poor drainage.
Officials said further action would be considered based on conditions in the area and feedback from residents.
