Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital in Sri Racha Holds Ceremony to Honour Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother ahead of National Mother’s Day

Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital in Sir Racha organised a ceremony to express profound gratitude for the boundless kindness of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, President of the Thai Red Cross Society, and to mark National Mother’s Day which is tomorrow, August 12th.
The event took place at the Si Savarindhira Memorial Building, which commemorates the hospital’s 150th anniversary. Associate Professor Dr Sophon Napathorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society and Director of Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital, Sri Racha, presided over the ceremony. He offered incense and candles before a portrait of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and delivered a message of respectful remembrance of her great benevolence.
Hospital executives, doctors and nurses joined the proceedings. Afterwards, the presiding officer presented jasmine plants, a traditional symbol of love and respect on National Mother’s Day, to mothers receiving services at the hospital.
The occasion also featured an exhibition on the royal biography and official duties of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. Activity booths provided health education for mothers and children, including guidance on nutrition for pregnant women across the first to third trimesters and for infants aged one to six months. Free fingertip blood-sugar screening was offered for basic health checks. Academic sessions included a discussion titled “When I Want a Sound MFM — Is It Necessary for Every Mother?” and a talk on “Breastfeeding with Love: Nurturing Development with Heart.”
