Selena Gomez rejects ‘baseless’ Wondermind fraud claims

Selena Gomez has rejected allegations of fraud linked to Wondermind, the mental fitness company she co-founded with her mother, Mandy Teefey, and former business partner Daniella Pierson.

The singer and actress responded after two companies, Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC, filed a lawsuit against her and Teefey. The plaintiffs accused the company’s leadership of making false claims about Wondermind’s operations, management and available resources.

Gomez and her legal adviser, Mathew S. Rosengart, strongly denied any wrongdoing. They described the allegations as baseless and said there was no factual or legal basis for claims that Gomez had participated in fraud.

Her legal team said they intend to challenge the allegations in court and have filed a motion seeking dismissal of the claims against her.

The lawsuit reportedly alleges that investors were led to believe Gomez would play an active role in Wondermind as its head of marketing. The plaintiffs also claimed that Gomez was bound by a contract to perform certain responsibilities but failed to fulfil them.

According to the allegations, potential investors were told that Wondermind had a valuation of about $95 million and was seeking a $5 million investment. The plaintiffs also claimed that the company had discussed potential partnerships with major financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan and Fidelity.

The lawsuit further alleges that Wondermind had promised to provide mental health and wellness services to employees and develop a new digital application as part of its business plans.

Gomez launched Wondermind with Teefey and Pierson in 2021. The company later expanded its digital content and mental fitness platform in 2022.

Gomez has now made it clear that she intends to defend herself against the allegations. Teefey has not publicly commented on the lawsuit so far.

Anaya Bangar opens up about her life

Anaya Bangar, the daughter of former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar, has spoken candidly about her life following gender-affirming surgery, sharing her thoughts on marriage, motherhood, and the personal journey that has transformed her life. In a recent interview, Anaya discussed her future aspirations, the challenges she has faced, and the unwavering support she has received from her family. Speaking openly about her future plans, Anaya said that she hopes to get married and have children one day. She expressed her deep love for children and said that becoming a parent remains one of her dreams. However, she emphasized that her immediate priority is recovering physically and emotionally after undergoing gender-affirming surgery. “At the moment, I am not thinking about marriage,” Anaya explained. “This is the beginning of a completely new chapter in my life, and my focus is on healing and adjusting to the changes that have taken place.” When asked about motherhood, Anaya acknowledged that she would not be able to become a biological mother naturally after her gender transition. She explained that while this reality is emotionally significant, it has not diminished her desire to become a parent in the future. She shared that there are other meaningful paths to parenthood available to her. According to Anaya, surrogacy is one option that could help her have a child, while adoption is another possibility she would gladly consider. She stressed that what matters most is the opportunity to love, care for, and raise a child, regardless of how that journey unfolds. Reflecting on her personal transition, Anaya revealed that one of the most meaningful aspects of her experience has been the support she received from her parents. She said that after her surgery, her family fully accepted her as their daughter and embraced her identity with love and respect. Anaya explained that her parents now refer to her using feminine pronouns and language, something she described as deeply meaningful and emotionally reassuring. She said their acceptance has given her confidence and strength as she continues building her new life. The interview also shed light on the timeline of her transition. Anaya revealed that her gender transition journey began in 2023 when she started hormone replacement therapy. She described the process as one that involved both physical and psychological changes, requiring patience, resilience, and careful medical supervision. After completing the necessary stages of hormone therapy and preparing herself mentally and physically, Anaya underwent gender-affirming surgery in Thailand approximately four months ago. She said the procedure marked an important milestone in her life and represented the fulfillment of a long and deeply personal journey toward living authentically. Although the transition has brought new challenges, Anaya expressed optimism about the future. She said she is grateful for the support of her loved ones and remains hopeful about achieving her dreams of marriage, family, and personal happiness. She also encouraged people to approach gender identity with greater understanding, compassion, and respect. Concluding the interview, Anaya said that while her journey has required courage and perseverance, she believes it has allowed her to embrace her true identity. As she continues her recovery, she is focused on building a fulfilling future, surrounded by acceptance, love, and the hope of one day becoming a parent through surrogacy or adoption.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has set an ambitious target of planting 1.4 million saplings in a single day as part of its Independence Day celebrations. K-P Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan said the large-scale plantation drive would be conducted across the province on August 14. He described the initiative as a major step towards expanding green cover and promoting environmental protection. The minister said extensive plantation activities would be carried out across a large area in Speen Khak, with teams taking part in the campaign to meet the record target. Shafi Jan, in his Independence Day message, said August 14 was a historic occasion that reminded the nation of the sacrifices made during the Pakistan Movement. He paid tribute to the leaders who struggled for the creation of Pakistan and those who sacrificed their lives for the country. He urged citizens to renew their commitment to building a stronger, stable, prosperous and sovereign Pakistan. According to him, national development requires collective responsibility, discipline and a continued commitment to the country’s future. The minister also highlighted the role of young people in national development. He said the younger generation should follow the ideals of Allama Iqbal and contribute towards making Pakistan more self-reliant and progressive. The provincial government has introduced a digital monitoring mechanism to improve transparency in the plantation campaign. The Ehsaas Shajarkari Web Portal will be used to identify suitable plantation locations through GPS technology. The portal will also help authorities monitor plantation activities and maintain a consolidated record of the saplings planted during the campaign. Officials will be able to track plantation sites and assess progress through the digital system. Shafi Jan said the initiative was being undertaken under the direction of K-P Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. He expressed confidence that the province would achieve its target and establish a significant plantation milestone on Independence Day.

Punjab Govt, PPP on collision course after Azma Bo…

Azma accuses PPP of disrespecting elders as Bilawal faces sharp attack. PPP’s Lahore convention plans halted after govt denies approval. Punjab’s ruling PML-N and the Pakistan Peoples Party appeared to be on a collision course on Friday, as a sharp verbal attack by a senior provincial minister coincided with the sudden halting of PPP convention preparations in Lahore, leaving the two parties at odds on multiple fronts. Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari strongly criticised PPP spokespersons, saying they should choose their words carefully and learn to respect their elders. She said it was ironic that people she described as coming from a “blackmailing mandate” were now taunting others.  Bokhari said PPP leaders repeatedly mock a person old enough to be their father by making faces and chanting “Raiwind, Raiwind.” She asked whether PPP leaders did not consider it disrespectful when their own leader ridicules someone of a father’s age. She said PPP leaders had turned Raiwind into a subject of mockery and routinely insult senior figures through their gestures and remarks. The minister warned that if such language continued, it would be met with an appropriate response. She said Bilawal Bhutto was not a figure beyond criticism. She further accused him of repeatedly naming Punjab’s cities in his speeches to spread what she called falsehoods and misleading propaganda, questioning whether his conduct was serious at all. The sharp exchange came on the same day that preparations for a PPP workers’ convention at Greater Iqbal Park were halted. The Lahore district administration said the party had not secured formal written permission for the event, even though a stage and other arrangements were already in place. The convention had been planned for July 25, ahead of celebrations marking President Asif Ali Zardari’s birthday on July 26.  District authorities questioned why preparations had begun without official approval and asked PPP leadership to explain. Lahore PPP President Faisal Mir said the party had moved ahead after receiving verbal assurances from the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office that there was no objection to the event. He said preparations were made in good faith, but officials later stepped in and stopped the work.Mir criticised the administration, saying access to the venue had been restricted and vehicles carrying chairs and other equipment had been blocked from reaching the site. He said the party remained committed to holding the convention peacefully and said he was ready to face arrest if needed. The Chief Minister’s Office did not comment on claims that approval had been given through the chief minister’s principal secretary. PPP leaders shared videos on social media showing workers, the stage and seating arrangements already prepared, signalling the party’s intent to proceed regardless.Party sources admitted that written permission had not been obtained but argued that verbal approval was enough to begin preparations. They said local police had been informed of the gathering in advance. The convention was expected to feature PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressing workers through video link, along with senior leaders including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Hassan Murtaza and Qamar Zaman Kaira. Officials said permission could still be granted if formalities were completed, but noted that approving the event without standard procedure could complicate similar requests from other parties, including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, which is seeking permission for a Lahore gathering next month.Taken together, the harsh words from Bokhari and the administrative roadblock facing PPP’s convention point to a provincial government and opposition party growing increasingly hostile toward one another, with neither side showing signs of backing down.

Nicole Kidman opens up on facing an ‘unknown’ future post-divorce

Nicole Kidman is opening up about the emotional aftermath of her divorce from Keith Urban. She admitted the split has left her feeling both fearful and vulnerable, while also teaching her something valuable. During a new British Vogue cover interview published Thursday, August 13, the 59-year-old reflected on choosing to prioritise her feelings, both personally and professionally. She said her goal isn’t to let logic completely take over her decisions. Kidman explained that she never expected this outcome and had a very different picture of how her life would unfold. She acknowledged simply having to accept where things stand now instead. She said people naturally build plans and expectations for the future, only for life to take a different turn. According to Kidman, adjusting and adapting to that shift becomes necessary once it happens. She was candid about not knowing what lies ahead for her at this point. Kidman described her future as completely unknown right now, admitting that uncertainty comes with real emotional weight. Looking back, the actress admitted she’d once felt very fearful and deeply vulnerable during parts of this process. She described that vulnerability as something that left her feeling exposed. Kidman explained that she was left with essentially two choices when facing that fear. She said she could either avoid confronting it entirely or move forward carrying a strong sense of hope instead. She appears to have chosen the latter, framing her outlook with cautious optimism despite the uncertainty. Her comments offer a rare, personal glimpse into how she’s processing this major life change. Kidman and Urban married in June 2006 in Sydney and share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. The couple reportedly separated in late 2025 before finalising their divorce in January 2026, citing irreconcilable differences after 19 years together. Since the split, Kidman has remained largely private about the details, offering only limited public reflections. This latest interview marks one of her most candid discussions yet about navigating life after the marriage’s end.

Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad spark breakup rumours again

Rumours surrounding Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad’s relationship have resurfaced after a purported screenshot from the exclusive dating app Raya went viral on social media. The screenshot allegedly showed a profile featuring Hrithik’s photograph, age and Instagram handle. The bio reportedly described the person as an “Actor/Producer/Entrepreneur” based in Mumbai. Its sudden appearance online sparked widespread discussion, with social media users questioning whether Hrithik and Saba had ended their relationship. However, there has been no independent confirmation that the profile actually belongs to Hrithik Roshan or that the account is genuine and currently active. As a result, the dating-app screenshot remains unverified, despite generating considerable attention online. Amid the speculation, Hrithik and Saba were reportedly spotted together at PVR in Juhu, Mumbai. Their public appearance appeared to contradict the breakup rumours circulating online. The two were seen leaving the cinema together and reportedly walked hand-in-hand, giving the impression that they were still comfortable and close. The couple also appeared to have coordinated their outfits for the outing, with both wearing black T-shirts. Hrithik completed his casual look with a cap as they made their way out of the theatre. Hrithik and Saba have been romantically linked since 2021. Although they initially kept their relationship relatively private, the pair eventually began making joint public appearances. They officially drew wider attention as a couple after attending filmmaker Karan Johar’s 50th birthday celebration together. Since then, Hrithik and Saba have frequently been seen together at social gatherings, events and casual outings. Their relationship has continued to attract significant public interest, particularly because of Hrithik’s status as one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors. Before his relationship with Saba, Hrithik was married to Sussanne Khan. The couple tied the knot in 2000 and later welcomed two sons. Hrithik and Sussanne separated and eventually divorced in 2014, but they have maintained a cordial relationship and continued to co-parent their children. Saba has also developed a friendly connection with Sussanne and has been seen spending time with her and members of her family. Hrithik, meanwhile, shares a cordial relationship with Sussanne’s partner, actor Arslan Goni. Their modern family dynamic has often attracted positive attention from fans. The latest dating-app speculation has therefore remained unconfirmed, while Hrithik and Saba’s recent appearance together has seemingly eased concerns among their followers. Although neither has publicly addressed the latest rumours, their outing at Juhu PVR suggests that the speculation about a possible breakup may not reflect the current state of their relationship. For now, the alleged Raya profile remains unverified, and there is no confirmed indication that Hrithik and Saba have ended their relationship. Fans are likely to continue watching their public appearances for further clues, but any conclusions about their personal lives remain speculative until either of them chooses to comment publicly.
