Cardi B is making it clear that pressure from fans will not make her work harder. Instead, the rapper says constant complaints about her music are pushing her toward taking a much-needed break. During an X Spaces conversation on Tuesday, August 11, Cardi addressed fans who have criticized her release schedule and questioned why some of her songs receive music videos and more promotion than others. Rather than motivating her to return to the studio, the criticism appears to be making her want to step away. (People.com⁠) Cardi explained that complaints have the opposite effect on her. She made it clear that she does not respond to pressure by immediately creating more music. Instead, she would rather take a step back and enjoy her personal time. The rapper also pushed back against expectations that every song should receive the same promotional treatment. According to Cardi, different songs can have different aesthetics, visuals and promotional plans. She does not feel obligated to give every release an identical rollout simply because fans want more content. Cardi also admitted that she has not been spending much time in the studio recently. The decision is intentional. She said she had already planned to take the summer off and wants to enjoy her life rather than allow outside expectations to control her schedule. She said that when fans are complaining, her instinct is to stay in bed and spend time with her children instead of rushing back into the studio. The timing comes after an extremely busy period in her career. Cardi released her long-awaited second album, Am I the Drama?, in September 2025. The 23-track project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking another major achievement for the rapper. She then took the album on her first full headlining arena tour, the Little Miss Drama Tour. The 35-date North American tour began in February and concluded in April, giving Cardi another demanding stretch of performances and promotion. Stephen Baldwin has opened up about one of the biggest decisions of his career, revealing why he stepped away from mainstream Hollywood despite enjoying major success in the 1990s. The actor said he deliberately chose a different path from fellow movie star Tom Cruise, explaining that fame and blockbuster success were never his ultimate goals.  Baldwin, now 60, reflected on his career in a recent interview with People, looking back at the period following his acclaimed performance in the Oscar-winning film The Usual Suspects. At the time, many believed he was on track to become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Instead, Baldwin said he decided to walk away from that path after experiencing a profound change in his personal life.  “I didn’t want to be Tom Cruise and have to make $100 million at the box office,” Baldwin said, adding that he preferred living a simpler life over chasing blockbuster success. He stressed that the comment was not intended as criticism of Cruise but as an explanation of his own priorities and ambitions.  According to Baldwin, everything changed in the early 2000s when he became a born-again Christian. His spiritual journey began after a Brazilian housekeeper working for his family shared what he described as a prophetic message, saying he and his wife, Kennya Baldwin, would one day dedicate their lives to ministry. Although skeptical at first, Baldwin said his perspective shifted after attending Christian events with his sister Beth Baldwin.  One event featuring Christian skateboarders particularly inspired him. The experience led him to create Livin It, a faith-based skateboarding video that combined extreme sports with Christian teachings. The project became a success and eventually grew into a nationwide ministry that took Baldwin to more than 125 churches over four years. That, he said, was the moment he realized his future was no longer in mainstream Hollywood.  Since then, Baldwin has focused on producing faith-based content while remaining active through podcasts, speaking engagements and independent projects. He admitted that his outspoken religious beliefs and political views may have made him less appealing to traditional Hollywood studios, but he has no regrets about the direction his life has taken.  The actor also credited his family for keeping him grounded. Married to Kennya Baldwin since 1990, he said his wife has been his “anchor,” while describing his faith as the foundation of everything he does. As the father of Hailey Bieber and grandfather to two young children, Baldwin said family remains his greatest blessing.  Looking back, Baldwin believes choosing purpose over fame was the right decision. While his career could have followed a more conventional Hollywood trajectory, he says he found greater fulfillment by dedicating his life to faith, family and meaningful work. Rather than measuring success by box office numbers, Baldwin now defines it through the impact he can have on others and remains convinced that his best years are still ahead. 

The hardcore punk community is mourning the loss of one of its most influential voices. Lou Koller, the longtime frontman and co-founder of New York hardcore band Sick of It All, has died at the age of 59 following a two-year battle with esophageal adenocarcinoma. The heartbreaking news was announced by the band on July 24, just months before what would have marked the group’s 40th anniversary.  In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Koller’s bandmates described him as a “beloved friend” and an “iconic frontman” whose energy, humor, and passion helped shape the identity of Sick of It All for nearly four decades. They remembered his ability to light up every stage with a smile and a sarcastic joke while connecting with fans from every corner of the world. The band also thanked supporters who donated to Koller’s medical fund during his illness, saying the overwhelming love made him feel deeply appreciated throughout his fight.  Born and raised in Queens, New York, Lou Koller founded Sick of It All with his younger brother, Pete Koller, in 1986. The band quickly became one of the defining acts of the New York hardcore scene, blending aggressive punk music with lyrics centered on perseverance, unity, and resilience. Their debut album, Blood, Sweat and No Tears, released in 1989, helped establish their reputation, while later records such as Scratch the Surface and Wake the Sleeping Dragon! cemented their influence on generations of punk and hardcore musicians.  Koller first revealed his cancer diagnosis in June 2024 after doctors discovered a tumor in his esophagus extending into his stomach. The illness forced Sick of It All to postpone touring while he underwent chemotherapy. In 2025, the singer joyfully announced that he had been declared cancer-free, giving fans hope that he would return to the stage. Sadly, the cancer later returned, and he resumed treatment while continuing to express gratitude for the unwavering support of his family, friends, and loyal fanbase.  Tributes have poured in from across the music world following the announcement. WWE star CM Punk, whose famous “It’s Clobberin’ Time” catchphrase was inspired by Sick of It All’s iconic song, thanked Koller for providing “the soundtrack” to his life. Fellow punk bands, including Dropkick Murphys and members of Rancid, also honored the late musician, remembering him as a genuine, kind-hearted figure who left an unforgettable mark on the hardcore community.  Though Lou Koller’s voice has been silenced, his influence on hardcore punk will continue to inspire musicians and fans for generations. His legacy lives on through the music he created, the community he helped build, and the countless lives he touched throughout an extraordinary career.
