Video of Sunil Dutt’s ancestral home in Pakistan…

A video showcasing the ancestral home of legendary Bollywood actor Sunil Dutt in Pakistan’s Jhelum district has gone viral on social media, attracting widespread attention from audiences in both Pakistan and India.

The video was shared by Pakistani social media influencer Sameel Atif, who visited the historic house located in the village of Khord in Jhelum. According to the video, the property is the childhood home of Sunil Dutt, who was born as Balraj Dutt before the partition of British India in 1947.

Following the video’s circulation, many social media users tagged Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Dutt’s son, encouraging him to visit the family’s ancestral home and reconnect with his roots. The video has generated thousands of comments highlighting the shared cultural and historical ties between the two neighbouring countries.

Reports state that Sunil Dutt spent his early years in the village before his family migrated to India during Partition. He later became one of Bollywood’s most respected actors and went on to serve as a member of the Indian Parliament.

The story is further connected to Sanjay Dutt’s mother, legendary actress Nargis Dutt, whose family roots trace back to Rawalpindi. As a result, both of Sanjay Dutt’s parents had ancestral links to regions that are now part of Pakistan.

In his social media post, Sameel Atif claimed that Sunil Dutt visited his ancestral village years after Partition. According to the post, the veteran actor requested the current owners of the house to preserve its original structure so that future generations could remember their shared history and heritage. This account has been widely shared online, though it reflects the information presented in the post.

The viral video also includes a past interview in which Sanjay Dutt recalled his father’s emotional attachment to his birthplace. He said that whenever Sunil Dutt felt nostalgic, he would express a desire to return to what he considered his real home in Jhelum rather than Mumbai. Sanjay Dutt has also reportedly expressed a wish to visit Pakistan one day to see his father’s ancestral village and experience the place that held such deep emotional significance for him.

The video has resonated with viewers on both sides of the border, many describing it as a reminder of shared history, cultural heritage, and enduring human connections beyond political boundaries.

Ryan de Nino, who rose to fame after appearing on the second season of Married at First Sight, has died suddenly at the age of 40. The reality TV personality passed away earlier this week in New Jersey. His family has not publicly revealed the circumstances or cause of his death. Following the heartbreaking news, Ryan’s former wife and MAFS co-star Jessica Castro has broken her silence. Castro said that she had not been in contact with Ryan for years. Despite their complicated past, she expressed sympathy for his loved ones and wished peace for his family as they deal with the loss. Ryan and Jessica first met at the altar during the second season of Married at First Sight in 2015. Ryan was 29 at the time, while Jessica was working as a receptionist in New York. Like other couples on the show, they agreed to marry without meeting beforehand after being matched by relationship experts. The couple initially chose to stay married on Decision Day. However, their relationship quickly deteriorated after filming ended. Their split eventually became one of the most controversial storylines from the season. In June 2015, Jessica filed for a restraining order and made serious allegations about Ryan’s behavior and threats toward her and her family. Ryan disputed the allegations at the time. Their marriage ultimately ended, and the two went their separate ways. Years later, Jessica moved on from the reality television spotlight, while Ryan also maintained a relatively private life. Their relationship remained a notable part of Married at First Sight history because of the dramatic events that followed their televised marriage. Ryan’s death has also prompted emotional tributes from members of his family. His sister, Melissa DeNino, remembered him as funny, witty, fiercely loyal and someone with a huge heart. She described losing her brother as a devastating experience that had changed her life forever. The sudden news has left Married at First Sight viewers remembering Ryan’s time on the series. Although his marriage to Jessica ended more than a decade ago, their story has once again drawn attention following his unexpected death. At this time, Ryan’s family has not publicly announced a cause of death. Further details may emerge as his loved ones continue to grieve and make arrangements.

  • Beloved Big Bear eagle Jackie passes away, leaving millions heartbroken

Jackie, the bald eagle who captured hearts across the internet, died on Monday. She had spent weeks under veterinary care after a rough patch in her final months. Caretakers at the Ojai Raptor Center had taken her in following an attack by rival eagles near her Big Bear home. The center shared that her health kept slipping despite round-the-clock treatment from vets and outside specialists. Things first went wrong on July 17, when Jackie was discovered injured after clashing with two other eagles. She was also dealing with serious weight loss and anemia at the same time, which made recovery an uphill fight. Even with intensive support, her body simply couldn’t bounce back, and she passed away this week. Her death has left thousands of longtime fans mourning online. So how did a wild eagle become such a household name? It all traces back to a livestream. Since 2015, the nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley broadcast Jackie and her partner Shadow’s nest around the clock, letting strangers around the world watch their daily lives unfold. One of her most unforgettable moments came during a brutal winter storm in 2024, when she stayed put on her eggs for more than 60 hours straight without budging. Viewers stuck around through the hard parts too, watching Jackie and Shadow deal with eggs that never hatched and predators trying to raid the nest. When chicks did survive and eventually flew off on their own, fans celebrated as though it were their own family news. Part of what made Jackie so beloved was her personality. She came across as fierce and fiercely protective, the clear boss of her nest, while Shadow played the gentler role of provider, bringing back food for the family. Wildlife experts say her journey mirrored something bigger too: the slow but real return of bald eagles across California decades after the species nearly vanished from the state. Her remains are now with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

What Katie Holmes’ daughter really thinks of her…

Katie Holmes appears to be embracing a fresh chapter in her personal life, and according to recent reports, the person whose opinion matters most to her is fully supportive. The actress is reportedly dating New York-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, and sources claim that her daughter, Suri, is happy to see her mother enjoying life again after years of keeping her love life largely private.  Holmes and Yarmosky first sparked romance rumors after they were photographed together in New York before making additional public appearances in the Hamptons. Eyewitnesses described the pair as affectionate and comfortable in each other’s company, fueling speculation that the relationship is becoming more serious.  Despite the growing attention, Holmes is reportedly approaching the romance with caution. Sources close to the actress say she has learned from her past high-profile relationships and wants to let things develop naturally. Rather than rushing major milestones, she and Yarmosky are focusing on getting to know one another away from the spotlight.  Recent reports suggest that Suri has given her blessing to the relationship, encouraging her mother to embrace this new phase of life. However, other reports indicate that Holmes has not yet introduced Yarmosky to Suri, explaining that the romance is still in its early stages and that she prefers to keep family and dating separate until the relationship becomes more established. While these reports may seem contradictory, they collectively paint a picture of Holmes taking a thoughtful, measured approach to balancing motherhood and romance.  Now 20 years old, Suri is attending college and building her own future, giving Holmes more freedom to focus on herself. After dedicating years to raising her daughter following her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise, the actress appears to be entering a new era where both mother and daughter are pursuing their own paths. Recent reports also note that Suri has legally adopted the surname “Noelle,” her mother’s middle name, reflecting another milestone in her independent life.  Yarmosky, a respected contemporary artist known for his work exploring themes of memory, aging, and family, is said to have a calming personality that Holmes appreciates. Insiders claim his grounded nature and creative outlook have helped the actress feel comfortable as she opens her heart again.  Although neither Holmes nor Yarmosky has publicly commented on the romance, fans are hopeful that this relationship brings happiness to the actress. With Suri reportedly supportive and Holmes choosing to move at her own pace, this new chapter appears to be built on trust, patience, and mutual respect.

India accused of promoting banned committee narrat…

India has allegedly stepped up efforts to promote the narrative of a banned committee in Azad Jammu and Kashmir after the group failed to gain wider public support, according to security sources. The sources claimed that Indian forces played videos linked to the banned Public Action Committee in the Keran sector on August 13 and 14. The alleged move was aimed at creating anti-Pakistan sentiments among people living near the Line of Control. Security officials said the videos were used to highlight the committee’s narrative and influence public opinion. Experts believe the alleged move raises questions about possible links between the banned group and India. They said the promotion of the committee’s material from the Indian side could indicate an attempt to exploit political and social issues in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Defence analyst and retired Major General Zahid Mahmood said people were already aware of claims regarding foreign involvement in the activities of the banned Action Committee. He said information about alleged external support had previously emerged through what he described as reliable sources. Mahmood said efforts had been made to develop a specific narrative about Azad Jammu and Kashmir. According to him, the objective was to damage the broader Kashmir freedom movement and create divisions among the people. He alleged that India and other international actors were playing a role in shaping narratives related to Kashmir. The retired general also claimed that some international forces and media groups were helping promote these narratives. He said such efforts could be aimed at influencing public opinion and weakening support for the Kashmir cause. Security sources maintained that the alleged circulation of the videos was part of a broader attempt to provoke anti-Pakistan sentiments. They said the use of material associated with the banned committee could also be intended to create political unrest and confusion among the public. The allegations come amid continued tensions surrounding political developments in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities are closely monitoring activities along the Line of Control and the dissemination of material they believe could fuel unrest.

Punjab teachers union rejects pay hikes, demands b…

LAHORE: The Punjab Teachers Union has rejected the recent increases in salaries and pensions announced by the provincial government, describing them as inadequate in the face of rising inflation and calling for the restoration of cutbacks in employee benefits. Central President of the Punjab Teachers Union Rana Anwar-ul-Haq, along with Yasin Warraich, Rana Liaquat and other office-bearers, said the government must end what they described as discriminatory economic treatment of public-sector employees. The union leaders said inflation had reached unprecedented levels, with prices now rising almost daily, making it increasingly difficult for government employees to meet their household expenses. They termed the announced 7 per cent salary increase and 3.5 per cent pension increase insufficient, arguing that the relief did not correspond with the rapidly rising cost of living. They demanded that Punjab employees receive salary increases at par with federal government employees. They also called for the restoration of cuts affecting leave encashment, pensions and gratuity. Yasin Warraich demanded a 45 per cent Disparity Reduction Allowance for Punjab government employees, arguing that denying them such an allowance while similar measures were being considered or implemented at the federal level would amount to unfair treatment. The union representatives also criticised the provincial government for failing to address the growing gap in compensation among public-sector employees. They said Punjab employees should not be deprived of financial benefits available to workers in other parts of the country. Rana Liaquat said employees affiliated with the All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) Punjab remained united under the leadership of Chairman Khalid Javed Sangheera and expressed full confidence in the alliance’s leadership. The teachers’ representatives said they would honour the agreement reached between the two AGEGA groups at Masjid-e-Shuhada on June 16. They further announced that the Punjab Teachers Union would fully implement the protest schedule issued under the umbrella of AGEGA. The union leaders maintained that employees would continue their struggle for equitable salaries, pensions and service benefits until their demands were addressed.

Nimra Khan’s ex-husband confirms their divorce

Nimra Khan, one of Pakistan’s well-known television actresses, has made headlines following confirmation of her divorce from Zain Hamid, a UK-based pilot whom she married in June 2026. The actress, who has built a strong fan base with her television performances, has 5.1 million followers on Instagram. Over the years, she has appeared in several popular dramas, including Aye Musht-e-Khaak, Ehraam-e-Junoon, Uraan, Meharbano, Mujhe Khuda Pay Yaqeen Hai, Choti Si Zindagi, Khoob Seerat, Baaghi and Umm-e-Ayesha. Her portrayal of a hijabi girl in Umm-e-Ayesha was particularly appreciated by viewers. Ehraam-e-Junoon and Sara Aapi also remained among the notable projects of her career. Nimra Khan married Zain Hamid in June after entering a new chapter of her personal life. At the time, the actress openly expressed her happiness about the marriage and spoke positively about starting a new journey with her husband. However, speculation about problems in the marriage began circulating later after social media posts shared by Nimra’s father attracted public attention. Although Nimra maintained that everything was fine, she chose to keep many details of her wedding private. She explained that she wanted to protect the relationship from the evil eye. Her social media activity later led to further speculation, with some followers interpreting certain posts as indirect references to her former husband. Despite the growing rumours, there was no immediate official confirmation from the couple. The situation changed when Zain Hamid publicly confirmed that the couple had separated. In an Instagram statement, he revealed that he had divorced Nimra on July 17, citing irreconcilable personal differences and choices. He stressed that he did not want to blame either side and described the separation as an amicable decision. Zain also addressed one of his earlier social media posts, explaining that his remarks about being “at peace finally” and “good riddance” were made in response to what he described as uncalled-for social media posts and status updates. He further clarified that his comments were not intended to disrespect women. According to Zain, the legal dissolution process has been filed and will now be handled by lawyers. He also wished Nimra well and acknowledged that divorce is a difficult experience for both men and women. The confirmation has left many of Nimra’s followers disappointed, particularly those who had hoped that the earlier rumours would turn out to be false. Social media reactions have been mixed, with some users defending Nimra while others criticized the circumstances surrounding her second marriage. The news has once again placed Nimra Khan’s personal life under intense public attention, although both sides have indicated that the separation is being handled through the proper legal process.
