I’ve only once seen a cammer swap as nice as this and it was supposedly done by KK as an experimental along with one they build as a mid-engine Boss 9 (both fastback Mustangs).
What’s so clever about this is you’d never expect it. The level of street sleeper, slack jaw, dumbdoundery here is off the charts. Roll up in this anywhere and get affirming nods, then open the hood and prepare for the cult of engine worship to begin their drooling genuflections.…”

“340 vs 383 the 340 wins. Not only in a straight line but especially on a winding road. The small block with the well designed chassis corners like a sports car. To be fair, these days the restrictive 383 exhaust can be relieved with contemporary under-chassis headers and the big block can be as light as a small block with aluminum heads, intake and water pump housing. Throw in a stroker crank for 500ci and it will get interesting.

“My late grandfather had a 92 Accord EX sedan that he took to 800,000 before he passed. Unfortunately it was in northern Illinois so by the time he died the car was only about 75% there from the beltline down due to rust. It was a stick and still had the original engine and transmission (I think it was only on t he second clutch) and still drove like a dream. One of my best friends ordered a ‘63 Galaxie 500 XL Oxford Blue convertible with the 406/405 Tri-Power engine …By the time it arrived it had the new upgraded 427/425 Dual Quad engine..I can vividly remember the first time opening the hood and seeing those chrome valve covers marked 427-T ….I believe the “T” was for transistor ignition.
The ‘63 Galaxie has always been my favorite Ford, especially the
“R” code Fastback version.”
