“Great 914. Had a set of American Le Mans waiting in my parents garage while waiting for my 914 in gold metallic . Mine was born in JAN 71 so I missed on first year of production. I still very much enjoy this car today and the stock wheels and hubcaps are still in the American Racing boxes 55 years later. The 1.7 had more HP & torque than the 1.8 and makes for a great driver.”

“I have owned five Mexicos and 13 Ghibli’s over the last 25 years and theses are such great cars . Mexicos are very similar to the Ghibli as they share many mechanical components and the same parts book. Dry sump for the Ghibli and wet for the Mexico. both cars on BAT currently are very nice examples. “I must commend the team at Revology on an absolute triumph of packaging. It is one thing to shoehorn a Gen 3 Coyote into an early-model engine bay, but the way this has been engineered is incredibly clean. You actually left plenty of room to work on the car, and the plumbing is pure art. It takes a truly discerning eye to differentiate this from a factory-spec 1968 Fastback until you pop the hood.
The juxtaposition of eras is beautifully executed. Catching the modern Ford door-ajar chime in…”

“My 66 Shelby is a 4 speed, my 65 cobra is a manual, but I have owned two 67 500 Automatics and 3 67 350 4 Speeds. I loved my 67 small block cars, but nothing like putting a 500 in drive and just cruise. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I did catch myself driving the auto 500s more than the manuals.”

“What a legacy this car has… Bruce McLaren, who “finished second behind Jack Brabham”… those are names I read about in Car & Driver as a kid… cars were named after these men! And the tracks: Silverstone, Riverside, Laguna Seca… storied venues all.
This is a piece of history, never to be repeated. That it was powered by the little aluminum Buick engine, fed by a quartet of Webers is like icing on the cake. Once again, the offerings on BaT never fail to surprise and amaze.”

“Oh hello, old friend! I managed Aston Martin Newport Beach for 6+ years, I spec’d this car personally, and I sold it to the original owner. Used to see him driving in Newport/Laguna all the time. I don’t work there anymore, so I don’t have access to the service records, but my memory was that the original owner did the scheduled maintenance on time, and the remainder of the service visits you see on the carfax are for tires. I seem to remember that he didn’t have the best luck with…”
