“I’ve learned a lot on this project. Thank you dad, grandpa, uncles, and friends to show me around the toolbox. This project has certainly helped me as a 15T Blackhawk mechanic to pick up aviation terminolgy easier. I wouldn’t have had the start I did without your help. My projects started small LOL, but have gotten bigger over the years. If anyone has any remaining questions, feel free to ask. “My father was in the Army from 1939 until 1969 when he retired as a Colonel. He was active duty thru WWII and then in the reserve until he retired. He drove a split window VW like this to his reserve meetings and drills. I once asked him why the VW? He said it was reliable and got great gas mileage. Having been raised during the depression he was very frugal. This auction brings many fond memories. GLWTA.”

“I remember John racing a Tiga back in the 80’s! I’ve been running S2’s for over 40 years. This is a beautiful car, and I hope who every is lucky enough to win this car will come out and run with us. “Former owner of this car, here. This was one of the best running and funnest driving 911’s I have ever owned. The E model has smaller numbers, but probably is the best driving street machine out of all the early cars. 1972 model to boot! For a little background, this car was purchased brand new by an airline 747 captain living in Tiburon, CA. Years later I find myself working for that same airline.
