“One of my long-time car friends is a national champion level modeler. When my wife and I married his wedding gift to us was a custom-built diorama of a C-Type Jaguar at le Mans. Remains my second favorite gift from the wedding (my wife’s unending love is the most favorite).
There have been far too many years passed since I build a car or airplane model. I have quite a few unbuilt kits on the shelf, I need to either get building or move them along.”

“Pininfarina was truly on a roll with these mid to late ’60s Ferrari cars. Some of most beautiful designs ever penned, IMHO. The blue is a formidable statement proving the simple elegance of the design. For bigger drivers (he said looking in the mirror) this might be the most comfortable Ferrari ever built. GLWTA!”

“My dad also has a Judson in his ’56 lowlight and got me hooked on 36hps. I currently have an Okrasa and just pulled a ’58 T2 36hp out of my Brasilia science project. I see at one point in picture 507 this Ghia had an Okrasa setup. I would have loved to talk to the owner/builder and hear their feedback on the differences. Does the motor still have the Okrasa 69.5 crank or upgraded (356/custom) camshaft with the Judson setup? Does it by chance have a the uber rare “high compression” domed VW…”

Among his fabulous cars (e.g. the first production Cobra) is the SWB Berlinetta that won its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1961, the highest placing of a SWB at Le Mans.”

“A V10 Gated Gallardo is a big 12 year old goal for me to own. 12 year old me used to see the Gallardo all the time before the Huracan existed when I was in high school. Yes, the engine produced 430 HP at 5200 RPM’s but Chevy failed to mention it produced
Over 550 HP at 6200 RPM’s
The “low” HP published at a time when insurance companies were taking a close look at high performance cars”

“I had a new Pinto and within a year I found a deal on a proto turbocharger set-up from a well-known Detroit area tuner. It was comparatively crude to this one without an intercooler and lots of lag. But once it spooled up, it was pretty impressive. I recall keeping pace with a 340 Duster in 2nd and 3rd gear which had the other driver wondering “WTF?!” But the tubing to the intake was a long way from the relocated carburetor and in cold weather it was really hard to start because that long…”

“When I was about 12 years old, my Mom’s cousin had one of these. He would load me, my brother, and two other younger cousins in the back with the jumper seats in the closed position. As he fishtailed down the road, the four of us would slide around on that metal flooring – back and forth, back and forth smashing into each other and the sides. Laughing all the way!!!!!!!! “I had to chime in as this brought back memories. My dad had one with factory 4 speed and (at least) front disc brakes. Can’t remember the rears. Factory silver with a vinyl roof. That 4 speed was a LONG throw so it took a while to get there. A lot of axle hop. I always thought it would make a great sleeper hotrod with a bit of engine & suspension work. I had no idea how rare the factory options were. Who knew?”

“Always loved these. I am the person responsible for that front cover photo of Hemmings Muscle Machines. I was the editor of that magazine at the time. That Mopar issue was a ton of work, but satisfying. Beautiful example of when Chrysler actually built cars. Today, just the Pacifica.”
