A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:

“I love brown cars, probs because my mom’s car when I was a kid was a 1970 Tobacco Brown MB 250 base model. No A/C, but it did have a sunroof. I learned how to drive in that car by driving it across the USA when we moved from Cleveland to Colorado Springs in 1977 on a learner’s permit. CB radio keeping contact with my dad in the 1970 Ford Country Squire pulling the Argosy 26′ travel trailer. Memories baby, that’s what cars are.”

I had factory ordered a new Econoline 150 around the same time as this Bronco and I took delivery in January of 1977. My van was the same Midnight Metallic Blue as this Bronco. A Great color”

“I am the previous of this car and I knew the engineer that built the car. The builder was a very talented engineer and sadly he passed away. I knew the car and I bought it from his estate. The car is a blast to drive and I will miss it. The only reason I have for selling it is that I am getting old and I still have a bucket list of cars that I would like to own before it is too late. I am sure that the new owner of this car will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.”

“My wife & I got married in July 1978. We packed her little red Chevette to the hilt with all of our wedding gifts and drove from Chicago to Houston with only gas stops along the way. Took us 24 hours! After a few years the drivers floor pan rusted through. A sheet of 3/8 plywood cut to size fixed that. It was no longer the Fred Flintstone mobile! “In the 70’s my Dad owned/operated a MB repair garage in CA. I used to work with him off/on to assist. His biggest job was a 300 SL roadster a client brought in to have the engine, transmission and differential rebuilt prior to shipping the car off to do the complete renovation. When my Dad completed all of the mechanical work, he asked if I’d like to take the SL out for its first test drive. I was surprised and happy to. I took it easy, went through the gears and put about 5 miles on it.…”
