“Whoever gets this car is getting a winner. Early 99 builds are the pinnacle of the analog porsche experience. I have a similar cab as a daily driver and it is simply divine. Despite the fact that these are the lower priced Porsches in market, it simply makes it a genius value buy. The best water-cooled setup, analog pulls and cables, and (for my spec) no nannies. “Such a time warp, this is so cool, and seeing it on that trailer reminds me of all the old Drag Racing photos i have seen in books, and magazines from back in the day, someone is going the opportunity to get a very cool piece of nostalgia today. I have always loved Dusters, when I was 3 years old, 1973, my parents had an Orange 1971 340 Duster, its the first classic car I remember when I was a kid. I loved my 67 small block cars, but nothing like putting a 500 in drive and just cruise. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I did catch myself driving the auto 500s more than the manuals.”

“What a legacy this car has… Bruce McLaren, who “finished second behind Jack Brabham”… those are names I read about in Car & Driver as a kid… cars were named after these men! And the tracks: Silverstone, Riverside, Laguna Seca… storied venues all.
This is a piece of history, never to be repeated. That it was powered by the little aluminum Buick engine, fed by a quartet of Webers is like icing on the cake. Once again, the offerings on BaT never fail to surprise and amaze.”

“One of the things I really like about this is that, at its heart, it’s just so simple. Not like the Italian limited production barchetta cars where everything is unobtainable or very expensive. A T Series MG set up is the personification of of basic spark, fuel, air motoring. Like the upkeep on TD. That should bring it more into the range of folks who lust after the style but have been afraid of the reality of finding mechanical spares. Opportunity rarely knocks as loud as this one, IMHO!”
