“Very excited. I have been looking for a long time, and plan to use it as a daily driver as well as occasional track use. So the somewhat odd spec is perfect for my intended use. I am far from being a professional driver, so I plan to enjoy this for many years.”

“What a priceless pair of twins. As the original owner of a 1970 Triumph Bonneville, I can fully appreciate this small, but wonderful example of Triumph history. My 1970 Bonneville was still in the wooden shopping crate when I picked it.ip at the shipping dock. It was sent to me unassembled and unpreped for retail delivery. My dealer was so busy with sales and deliveries in 1970, he did not have time or staff to open the crate, assemble and prep my bike and fabricrate a new shipping crate. I…”

“Worked at Scottsdale Ferrari in the 90’s. We found two Daytona Spyder’s in an airplane hangar in Mexico. One orange, one was chocolate brown metallic. Both had the same color interior as this one. One had 3,500 miles, the other had 1,800 miles. Yes, they were legit Spyders.
The owner kept talking about stripping them to paint them red. I am unsure if he did but thinking about it makes me sad. From what I was able to find, only 2 were built in orange and 2 in brown. Sure hope they were…”

“In 1988, I laid my hands on something extraordinary: a 1983 Audi 5000 Turbo-Diesel Automatic cloaked in liquid sunshine—Gold Metallic paint so bright it could blind pigeons mid-flight, with an interior swaddled in coffee-brown leather, the color of an expensive cigar lounge.
Now, most people saw trouble. It had a head gasket leak—a deal breaker for the faint of heart. But me? I had a mate inside the Audi dealership who whispered, “They don’t want to fix it. They’re tossing it.” For…”

That being said, you’d be a lot cooler riding this than you are right now!”

“The first thing I looked at was the first driving video, and that made my morning, seeing the focus with the manual steering. No lackadaisical grip on that wheel.
Just the right street car for getting the blood pumping, without needing to get crazy to do it. A simple and easily maintainable build, with no exotic or exceptionally expensive components, and easy access to pretty much everything. It seems like a car that can happily sit on a battery tender, with some fuel stabilizer, and be…”

It is certainly tough to say goodbye to “Baby” after keeping her safe in the Centennial garage since 1983, but we are thrilled to watch her go to a great new home where her story can continue. Again…thanks so much!”

It’s nice to see that my work has held up this long and still looking good. This is the only one with this color so it is quite unique. Best of luck to the seller and the buyer.”

This project began as an effort to build an electric E30 that felt like a proper driver’s car rather than simply an EV conversion. Nearly every component was selected with that goal in mind—from the Tesla Plaid drive unit and custom battery system to the suspension, brakes, and chassis upgrades.

I spent a lot of time at the Lancia display at the Turin Auto Show in 1972, and following that wrote an article for the LANCIANA, the American Lancia Club newsletter. Some things I noted were “…the paint and overall finish is better than ever. Suspension bits are stampings now, rather than the nice hardware that we’re used to.. Plastic clips replace the…”

“Jimmy Don Ventura had owned enough unusual automobiles over the years to believe he understood the public. He’d driven a lime-green AMC Gremlin, a Triumph Spitfire that leaked oil with the determination of an East Texas mosquito, and a Plymouth Barracuda that had once stranded him in front of the Dairy Twin during the lunch rush. Every one of them had attracted comments, questions, and unsolicited mechanical advice from complete strangers.
