A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“Transmission is an M6 presto-matic WITH fluid drive. 2 gears in low range and 2 gears in high range. Rumor is it 2 gears in reverse but I have never attempted it in my 50 Chrysler equipped with the same trans. Fluid drive is the coupler between the trans and engine which works as an early torque converter basically allowing to come to a stop without taking out gear. Most people start in high range (Where 3rd is like a 3 on the tree) and at 12-18 MPH you just lift your foot off the gas and wait…”
“A 2016 Ford Taurus SHO with just a 93-octane tune (often referred to as a “tune-only” car) typically gains about 75–100+ horsepower over stock, bringing it close to 450–500 horsepower at the crank. In the 1/4 mile, a tuned SHO, even without bolt-on parts, is capable of running times in the low 12-second range, often around 12.3 to 12.6 seconds.”
“What a beast. 12k miles on a S7 is impressive. Most have far fewer.
The dollars spent to miles driven ratio must be wild.”
