Zara Larsson unfollows BTS members after Chris Bro…

Zara Larsson has become the center of an online debate after social media users claimed the Swedish pop star unfollowed members of BTS following their alleged attendance at a Chris Brown concert in Toronto earlier this month.

The claim originated from a parody account that linked BTS members J-Hope and RM to the controversy, suggesting Larsson had unfollowed them because of their reported appearance at Brown’s concert. The post quickly gained attention because Larsson previously collaborated with BTS on the 2019 song “A Brand New Day,” recorded with J-Hope for the BTS World soundtrack.

However, fans soon challenged the claim, pointing out that Larsson had not been following the members’ individual Instagram accounts in the first place. Others also noted that she continues to follow BTS’s official account, casting further doubt on the suggestion that she deliberately unfollowed the members as a response to the concert.

The discussion has nevertheless gained momentum because of Larsson’s previously public stance toward Brown. In a February 2026 interview with Cosmopolitan, the singer spoke about distancing herself from the artist and said she had blocked his music on Spotify. Her comments have continued to fuel conversations about how artists navigate professional associations with controversial figures.

The latest social media speculation has therefore reopened broader discussions about celebrity relationships, artistic collaborations and accountability. While fans have largely debunked the specific unfollowing claim, the episode demonstrates how quickly unverified posts can spread when they involve major artists and long-standing collaborations.

Neither Larsson nor the BTS members have publicly addressed the viral claim. For now, there is no confirmed evidence that Larsson changed her social-media relationship with BTS because of the Toronto concert.

The incident also highlights the challenges celebrities face in an era where social-media activity can become the basis for widespread speculation, even when the original claims are based on incomplete or misleading information.

Maulana Tariq Jamil’s yoga video sparks mixed reactions online

Maulana Tariq Jamil, one of Pakistan’s most respected Islamic scholars, has become the center of an online debate after a video of him performing yoga exercises surfaced on social media. Widely admired for his calm demeanor and inclusive approach to religious teachings, Maulana Tariq Jamil enjoys a large following across different schools of thought in Pakistan and abroad. Over the years, he has built a reputation for promoting unity, compassion, and moral values through his lectures. In addition to his religious work, he has also ventured into business with his own brand, a move that has occasionally drawn criticism from some quarters who question the commercialization of religious personalities. The latest discussion surrounding the scholar, however, has little to do with his sermons or business activities. Instead, it centers on a recently circulated video featuring him alongside Dr. Affan Qaiser, in which he demonstrates several yoga-inspired stretching exercises. The clip quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with many viewers expressing surprise at the scholar’s flexibility. Considering his age and previous health challenges, several users praised his physical fitness and commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle. Many described the video as inspiring, saying it highlighted the importance of mobility, exercise, and healthy aging. Others, however, questioned whether the video should have been recorded and shared publicly. Some critics argued that such content was unexpected from a religious figure of Maulana Tariq Jamil’s stature, while others believed it was unnecessary to turn a private fitness session into a public spectacle. The video also prompted reactions from public figures. Among those commenting was politician Hina Parvez Butt, who voiced her disapproval of the clip, adding another layer to the discussion already unfolding online. As the debate intensified, social media users remained sharply divided. Supporters argued that the movements shown in the video were simply physical exercises aimed at improving flexibility and overall health. They maintained that stretching routines and yoga-based movements should not be viewed negatively when practiced solely for fitness purposes. Others defended the scholar by pointing out that maintaining physical health is encouraged and that there was nothing inappropriate about engaging in exercises designed to improve strength and mobility. Many also praised Maulana Tariq Jamil for staying physically active despite his advancing age. On the other hand, critics expressed discomfort with the video, saying they did not expect to see the religious scholar performing such poses. Some users felt the footage should not have been made public, while others questioned whether it aligned with the public image associated with a prominent Islamic preacher. Despite the differing opinions, the video has generated widespread discussion online, with thousands of users continuing to share their views. While some see it as a positive reminder of the importance of health and fitness, others believe the clip has crossed personal or cultural boundaries. The viral video has once again demonstrated how social media can rapidly turn everyday moments involving public figures into nationwide conversations, leaving audiences divided over interpretation, intent, and public perception.

10 electric buses arrive in Azad Kashmir

Ten electric buses have been delivered to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) from Islamabad as part of a new public transport initiative for the region. The buses have been provided by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The initiative follows an announcement made by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif during a public gathering in Muzaffarabad. Nawaz Sharif had announced that electric buses would be provided to AJK to improve public transport facilities in the region. The arrival of the first 10 buses marks progress towards implementing that announcement. The new buses are expected to provide residents with a modern transport option. They are also aimed at improving the quality of public transportation and making daily travel more convenient for citizens. The electric buses were transported from Islamabad to Azad Kashmir. Their arrival is likely to support efforts to upgrade the region’s existing public transport system. The initiative is also significant because electric buses can help reduce dependence on conventional fuel-powered public transport. Their use can contribute to lower emissions and cleaner urban environments. The provision of the buses reflects cooperation between Punjab and the AJK administration in the transport sector. The initiative is expected to benefit commuters, particularly those who rely on public transport for work, education and other daily activities. The announcement was made during Nawaz Sharif’s address in Muzaffarabad, where he spoke about development and public welfare initiatives for Azad Kashmir. The arrival of the buses is expected to be followed by further steps to put them into service for the public. Authorities will determine their routes and operational arrangements. The initiative is being viewed as part of broader efforts to introduce modern and environmentally friendly transportation facilities in AJK.

Fresh CCTV footage has surfaced in the investigation into the murder of Mir Raza Ali, providing investigators with another potential lead as police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding his death. The newly obtained footage, captured by a surveillance camera overlooking the area where Ali’s body was discovered, shows a motorcycle stopping briefly at the location. According to investigators, the recording is timestamped at 3:36 a.m. on July 29, with the motorcycle remaining at the scene for approximately 20 seconds before leaving. Due to poor lighting, the footage does not clearly reveal the number of people riding the motorcycle or provide any identifying details, making further forensic analysis necessary. Mir Raza Ali, a resident of Karachi’s Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS), went missing on July 28 after leaving his home at around 4:09 a.m. in an online taxi. His body was found two days later in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Police said the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, and his body was recovered in a severely deteriorated condition, indicating that it had remained at the location for some time before being discovered. Investigators have also revealed that all of Mir Raza Ali’s social media accounts were deactivated a day before his body was found, adding another element to the ongoing probe. Authorities are continuing to review CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and digital records as they work to determine the motive behind the killing and identify those responsible for the crime.

Bhansali to begin Madhubala biopic work in September

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is expected to begin work on the much-anticipated Madhubala biopic in September after completing his ongoing film Love & War. The upcoming project will focus on the life and legacy of legendary Hindi cinema actress Madhubala, with Sara Arjun set to play the iconic role. Bhansali is currently wrapping up the final schedule of Love & War, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. The film’s last song is reportedly scheduled to be filmed at Royal Palms in Goregaon by the end of August. Once the Love & War shoot is completed, the same location is expected to be transformed for the Madhubala biopic. The production design team will reportedly begin working on the sets immediately after Bhansali finishes his current project. The location is expected to be redesigned to recreate the period associated with Madhubala’s life and career. The biopic is expected to go on floors in September, marking the beginning of a new phase for the highly discussed project. Jasmeet K Reen, who previously directed Darlings, will helm the film. Bhansali is attached to the project as a producer, a development that helped the film move forward after facing delays. The Madhubala biopic had reportedly been put on hold earlier because of financial difficulties. However, the project eventually gained momentum after Bhansali joined the production team. His involvement has further increased expectations surrounding the film, particularly given his reputation for creating visually elaborate period stories. Sara Arjun has reportedly started preparing for the challenging role. The actress and the team are said to be working on Madhubala’s personality, mannerisms and expressions to ensure that her portrayal captures the essence of the legendary performer. The production will also focus on recreating the atmosphere and visual style of the era in which Madhubala rose to fame. Sara recently received increased attention for her role in the Dhurandhar franchise, where she portrayed Yalina Jamali, the love interest of Ranveer Singh’s character. Taking on Madhubala will represent a major opportunity for the young actress, as she steps into the role of one of Hindi cinema’s most recognisable stars. Madhubala remains an enduring figure in Indian cinema, remembered for her beauty, charm, screen presence and memorable performances. Her life and career have continued to attract public interest long after her passing, making her story a natural subject for a major biographical film. As Love & War nears completion, Bhansali is expected to shift his focus towards the Madhubala project. The film will seek to explore the actress’s journey, career and lasting legacy while bringing the golden era of Hindi cinema back to life through its production design and storytelling.
