Gillian Anderson makes shocking confession about h…

Gillian Anderson has opened up about a deeply personal part of her past, revealing that one of her first relationships was with an older girl during her high school years.

The X-Files star made the candid admission during a recent interview with The Sunday Times. Anderson, 58, reflected on her teenage years and explained that the relationship felt very different from the romantic experiences she would have later in life.

According to Anderson, the relationship was “secretive and illicit” and something the two girls felt they had to hide. She also revealed that a boyfriend eventually discovered the relationship and ended their romance because of it. (Page Six)

At the time, Anderson said she did not identify herself as gay. She had already dated boys, and she explained that she did not have the language to fully understand or describe what she was experiencing.

Her comments offer a glimpse into how Anderson’s understanding of her sexuality developed over time. She has previously spoken publicly about relationships with women, but her latest interview provides more detail about one of her earliest experiences.

Anderson also reflected on her later relationships with women. She explained that, when she was younger, she did not necessarily imagine those relationships becoming lifelong partnerships. Her perspective has since evolved.

Today, Anderson says she does not believe the gender of a person should determine whether they can be considered a life partner. She explained that the person she currently considers her life partner happens to be male, but she could feel the same way about a woman. (The Times)

The actress has been linked to The Crown creator Peter Morgan since 2016, although the pair have generally kept their relationship private. Anderson has also been married twice and has three children. (The Times)

Her openness about relationships comes at a time when sexuality and identity are also central themes in some of her recent work. Anderson stars in Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, a film that explores sexuality, identity and complicated relationships.

For Anderson, however, the revelation is not simply about her teenage romance. It is about looking back at a younger version of herself and recognizing that she did not always have the words to understand her feelings.

Her latest comments have given fans a rare glimpse into her personal journey while showing how her views on love and relationships have continued to evolve.

Pakistan’s UN envoy hits back at India in Se…

Pakistan’s Counsellor at the United Nations, Saima Saleem, strongly criticised India during a meeting of the UN Security Council. She accused New Delhi of violating international law, ignoring UN Security Council resolutions and pursuing policies that threaten regional peace and stability. In her address, Saleem said it was contradictory for India to present itself as a supporter of peace while, according to Pakistan, it continues to violate international law and fail to implement UN Security Council resolutions related to the Kashmir dispute. She also alleged that India has pursued aggressive policies toward neighbouring countries and has been involved in activities that undermine regional security. The Pakistani diplomat highlighted what she described as a clear difference between the situations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). She said people in AJK enjoy political freedoms, while residents of IIOJK continue to face restrictions, arrests and alleged human rights violations. Saleem said the denial of basic rights in the disputed territory cannot be ignored. She stressed that political freedom and the suppression of civil liberties cannot be viewed as the same. According to her, the people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to possess an inalienable right to self-determination under relevant UN resolutions. She further stated that Jammu and Kashmir is not an integral part of India and cannot be treated solely as its internal matter. She said India’s position does not change the internationally recognised status of the dispute and called for implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. The Pakistani representative also said that India had originally taken the Kashmir issue to the United Nations and is now distancing itself from the resolutions adopted by the Security Council. She maintained that the dispute remains on the UN agenda and requires a peaceful resolution in accordance with international law. Referring to the Indus Waters Treaty, Saleem criticised India’s decision to suspend the agreement. She said the move violates international legal obligations and warned that water should never be used as a political or military tool. She described the Indus River system as a lifeline for millions of people and stressed that international agreements must be respected. She also alleged that terrorism networks linked to India have expanded beyond the region. In addition, she claimed that the rise of Hindutva ideology has contributed to increasing Islamophobia in India and accused the Indian government of promoting discriminatory policies against Muslims.

K-P assembly rejects move to absorb Haripur, Abbot…

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously rejected any reported move to separate Haripur and Abbottabad from the province and place them under the administrative control of Islamabad, warning that any such attempt would undermine provincial autonomy and constitutional rights. The resolution was adopted during Friday’s session after Provincial Minister Akbar Ayub presented a strongly worded motion opposing any proposal by the federal government to alter the status of K-P districts, particularly Haripur and Abbottabad. The House declared that all districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa are an integral part of the province and cannot be separated under any circumstances. It maintained that changing provincial boundaries for administrative, political or economic purposes, or to gain control over natural resources, would violate the constitutional rights of the province and its people. The resolution specifically highlighted K-P’s water resources, hydropower facilities, mineral wealth, forests and other natural assets, stating that these resources belong constitutionally to the province and its people. Any attempt, directly or indirectly, to take control of these resources was described as unacceptable. The provincial legislature called on the federal government to immediately drop any proposal concerning the separation of the districts and respect the existing constitutional, geographical and administrative status of K-P. The House also urged political parties, lawmakers, constitutional bodies, lawyers, civil society, young people and the media to maintain a united position in protecting the province’s territorial integrity, autonomy and public interests. During the same session, PPP lawmaker Mehr Sultana raised concerns over the lack of effective rules requiring doctors to prescribe medicines using generic names rather than specific brands. She also called for computerized prescriptions to become mandatory, pointing out that unclear handwritten prescriptions can create difficulties for patients and increase the risk of errors. She urged the provincial government to introduce legislation or regulations addressing both issues, with the aim of improving prescription practices and protecting patients.

The actress was seen visiting the Brentwood Farmers Market on Sunday, dressed casually in a white T-shirt featuring the French phrase “Maman Je T’aime,” which translates to “I love you, Mom.” The simple yet touching message drew attention as it came weeks after the passing of Ben Affleck’s mother. Chris Anne Boldt died on June 2 at the age of 83 after battling pancreatic cancer. According to her family, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She had been diagnosed with the disease in December 2025, and her death marked a difficult loss for the Affleck family. Although Jennifer Garner has not publicly commented on the meaning behind her outfit, many viewed the shirt as a subtle and respectful tribute to Chris. Garner has long maintained a close and supportive relationship with Ben Affleck’s family, even after the couple ended their marriage. Jennifer and Ben were married from 2009 until their separation in 2015. Despite their divorce, they have remained committed to co-parenting their three children and are often seen together during family events. The former couple shares three children: Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 12. Over the years, Garner and Affleck have continued to support one another as parents while keeping their family life as stable as possible. Ben Affleck has previously spoken with great admiration about his mother and the influence she had on his life and career. He shared that his mother taught in public schools after studying at Harvard University, where she also earned her master’s degree. She spent years teaching fifth- and sixth-grade students, leaving a lasting impact on those she educated. Affleck also reflected on his father’s different background, explaining that he worked a variety of jobs, including as an auto mechanic, bartender, and janitor at Harvard. The actor has often credited both of his parents for shaping his values and perspective. Jennifer Garner has generally kept her personal life private, especially when it comes to family matters. While neither Garner nor Affleck has addressed the speculation, the outing highlighted the enduring bond between their families. Garner’s thoughtful choice of clothing was widely seen as a sign of compassion and respect, reflecting the close connection she shared with Ben Affleck’s mother despite the end of their marriage.
