Keke Palmer opens up about Sean Evans romance rumo…

Keke Palmer has finally broken her silence on the romance rumours surrounding her and Hot Ones host Sean Evans, admitting that their chemistry is genuine while expressing surprise at how quickly fans have turned their connection into a full-blown love story.

The actress and singer appeared on the July 27 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, where she candidly discussed the public fascination with her relationship status. Palmer revealed that she has been repeatedly asked about Evans ever since the pair’s flirtatious interactions and public outings sparked dating speculation.

“Our chemistry is genuine,” Palmer said during the interview, adding that the connection between them has always felt natural from the very first time they worked together. She stressed that the chemistry wasn’t something they planned or created for publicity, explaining that it simply developed organically over time.

However, Palmer admitted she was taken aback by how quickly fans began imagining a serious romance. She joked that people seemed ready to “marry” them before they had even figured out where their friendship was headed. Describing the online reaction as “parasocial,” Palmer said social media often encourages people to create stories about celebrities before those celebrities have had the chance to live them.

The actress even recalled an awkward encounter with a fan while passing through airport security. According to Palmer, someone immediately asked her whether she and Evans were together, leaving her stunned by how invested strangers had become in her personal life. While she appreciated the support, she noted that the experience highlighted just how blurred the line between celebrity and audience can become.

Rumours about Palmer and Evans began earlier this year after they were photographed enjoying dinner together in New York. Their playful chemistry, which dates back to Palmer’s appearances on Hot Ones, had already made them fan favourites. Evans had previously admitted to having a crush on Palmer, and their light-hearted interactions—including an on-camera kiss—only fueled speculation.

Despite the growing buzz, Palmer made it clear she isn’t interested in letting public opinion define their relationship. She described Evans as “my guy” and said they are simply taking things one day at a time instead of rushing to put a label on their connection.

For now, Palmer seems content to let whatever develops happen naturally. While fans continue rooting for the pair, the actress has one simple request: allow them the space to enjoy their genuine bond without writing the ending before the story has even begun.

Free entry for fans at National Champions Cup 2026 in Multan

Cricket fans in Multan are set for an exciting week of domestic action, with the Pakistan Cricket Board announcing free entry for spectators at the National Champions Cup 2026, which begins on August 11 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The tournament will run until August 18 and will feature seven day-night matches, giving local supporters a chance to watch some of Pakistan’s leading domestic and international stars without paying an entry fee. Matches are scheduled to begin at 3pm local time. The new 50-over List-A competition will officially open Pakistan’s 2026-27 domestic cricket season. Four teams—Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues and Pakistan Gold—will compete in a single round-robin league. At the end of the league stage, the two highest-ranked teams will qualify for the final, setting up a potentially decisive finish in Multan. The PCB has also confirmed the playing XIs for all four sides, along with a 13-player reserve pool. Reserve players will remain with their respective squads during training and match days and can be brought into the team if a player suffers an injury or concussion after the playing XI has been announced. The tournament features several prominent names. Fast-bowling star Shaheen Shah Afridi will captain Pakistan Gold, while all-rounder Shadab Khan will lead Pakistan Greens. Meanwhile, Pakistan Whites will be captained by Saim Ayub, with Sahibzada Farhan taking charge of Pakistan Blues. The leadership choices provide an interesting mix of international experience and emerging talent. Beyond the trophy itself, the competition carries added importance because the PCB is using the tournament as part of its wider preparations for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. A 44-player pool has been assembled, supported by reserve players, giving selectors an opportunity to assess form, fitness and combinations ahead of future international assignments. For Multan’s cricket followers, the combination of free admission, day-night matches and a strong field makes the Champions Cup an appealing mid-August sporting attraction. With Shaheen and Shadab leading rival teams and several players competing for national recognition, the tournament could offer plenty of drama from the opening match to the final.

Returning Ben Stokes hits gutsy century on comebac…

Ben Stokes grabbed the headlines once again with a typically gutsy century on his return to competitive action for the first time since retiring from Test cricket three weeks ago. The all-rounder defied severe cramp to help Durham beat Derbyshire in the One-Day Cup, playing his first List A game for his county for nearly 12 years. Stokes displayed all of his hallmark grit as he battled repeated bouts of cramp, collapsing in pain as he reached his fifty, to drag his side to their target of 257. Earlier, he had bowled nine overs but failed to take a wicket as Derbyshire’s Martin Andersson’s well-measured century formed the backbone of the Falcons’ 256-9. Despite a clash with the opening day of this year’s Hundred competition, the prospect of seeing Stokes in action for the first time since his international retirement meant hundreds more eyeballs were on the action at the County Ground. Batting at four, Stokes found himself at the crease with Durham in trouble after Ben Aitchison’s early burst had removed both openers with just 24 runs on the board. After a measured start, the 35-year-old moved through the gears before showing the first signs of cramp as he neared his half-century, which came up with his fifth four in 71 balls. In the midst of repeated bouts of treatment from the physio, Stokes added 74 with Will Rhodes, 66 with Colin Ackermann, 52 with Ollie Robinson, and 41 with captain Kasey Aldridge to break the back of the chase with an innings that showed the character synonymous with many of his knocks for England. His hundred, the 10th of his List A career, was a stunning domestic return and sealed a five-wicket win for Durham. The innings was a reminder of Stokes’ enduring quality and his ability to perform under pressure, even as he battles physical challenges. His return to domestic cricket has been eagerly anticipated, and his performance against Derbyshire suggests that he remains a force to be reckoned with in the game. Stokes’ retirement from international cricket at the end of last month marked the end of an era for England, but his continued presence in domestic cricket ensures that fans will still have the opportunity to witness his brilliance. His century for Durham is a testament to his resilience and his love for the game, and it will be a source of inspiration for his teammates and fans alike. As the domestic season continues, Stokes’ form will be closely watched, with many hoping to see more of his trademark performances. His return to action has already provided one of the highlights of the season, and there is every expectation that he will continue to deliver memorable moments for Durham and cricket fans across the country.

Pakistan invites foreign investors as UK peer prai…

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured foreign investors of full government support, saying Pakistan is ready to facilitate investment and provide opportunities across different sectors. Naqvi made the remarks during a meeting with British House of Lords member Lord Zamir Choudrey in Islamabad on Saturday. The interior minister said Pakistan has significant investment potential and that the government wants to create an environment where foreign investors can operate with greater confidence. He assured investors that all possible facilities would be provided to support their business activities in the country. The discussion also covered regional peace and stability. Naqvi said Pakistan was continuing its efforts to promote lasting peace in the region. He expressed optimism that the country’s diplomatic and peace initiatives would produce positive results. Lord Zamir Choudrey appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to contribute to regional stability. He also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts to promote peace. Choudrey said the government’s policies were helping create new opportunities for investment in Pakistan. The meeting comes as Islamabad seeks to strengthen economic ties with international partners while promoting Pakistan as an attractive destination for foreign investment. Pakistan has also been increasing cooperation with China on security and counterterrorism matters. Earlier this month, Naqvi met Chinese Minister of State for Public Security and Special Service Bureau chief Ling Zhifeng at the United Nations headquarters in New York. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in internal security. Their discussions included border management, illegal immigration and efforts against drug trafficking. Meanwhile, security concerns surrounding Chinese nationals working in Pakistan remain a major issue. The CPEC Secretariat has decided to purchase a new bulletproof vehicle costing Rs95 million to strengthen security arrangements for Chinese citizens. The vehicle will reportedly be a 3,500cc Toyota Land Cruiser. It will be added to the existing fleet of security vehicles used for the protection of Chinese nationals. Government departments have also acquired or are seeking additional bulletproof vehicles and helicopters for security purposes. Officials have said Chinese citizens face significant security risks in Pakistan. As a result, they are generally restricted from travelling in ordinary, non-bulletproof vehicles. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said the protection of Chinese nationals is a key responsibility of the Pakistani government. The purchase also highlights the security challenges linked to major China-Pakistan economic projects. The government is balancing efforts to attract more foreign investment with measures aimed at improving the security of international investors and workers.

IShowSpeed’s 60M celebration ends in horror

Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed’s celebration after reaching 60 million subscribers took an unexpected turn when a balloon stunt inspired by a Disney movie ended in a dangerous fall. The content creator planned the unusual celebration as a tribute to Disney’s animated film “Up”, in which a house is lifted into the sky using thousands of balloons. Speed attempted a similar stunt by attaching himself to a chair connected to large helium balloons. According to reports, Speed and his team prepared the stunt gradually. They added smaller balloons during his journey toward the subscriber milestone and later replaced them with much larger balloons for the final attempt. At the beginning of the stunt, crew members helped keep the chair stable as Speed slowly moved upward. After officially reaching the 60 million subscriber mark, the streamer became emotional and asked to be released to experience the flight on his own. However, moments later, several balloons reportedly burst while he was in the air, causing the setup to lose balance. The failure of the balloon system resulted in Speed falling to the ground. The incident was captured during a live broadcast and quickly spread across social media platforms. In the footage, Speed appeared shaken after the fall, breathing heavily, while blood was visible on his forehead. The livestream was immediately switched to another camera angle following the incident. The stunt attracted mixed reactions from viewers. Some fans expressed concern over the risks involved and questioned the safety measures taken during the attempt. Others reacted with humour, comparing the failed stunt to the animated film that inspired it. Some social media users also questioned whether the incident was staged, while others defended Speed and said the fall appeared genuine. The incident has renewed discussions about the safety risks involved in extreme online content, as creators increasingly attempt unusual challenges to entertain millions of followers.
