New CCTV footage emerges in Mir Raza Ali murder in…

A significant development has emerged in the investigation into the murder of Mir Raza Ali, a young resident of Karachi’s PECHS area, as police continue to gather evidence and analyze new surveillance footage to determine the circumstances surrounding the case. According to investigators, a newly obtained CCTV recording shows Mir Raza Ali walking along a street shortly before the incident. During the footage, he appears to remove a glowing object from his pocket and throw it away while continuing on foot. Police believe the object seen in the video is likely to be a mobile phone, although forensic analysis is still underway to confirm its identity. Officials said a local resident had earlier informed police about the location where a mobile phone was found. The spot reportedly matches the location visible in the CCTV footage where the illuminated object was discarded, strengthening investigators’ efforts to establish a timeline of events. Police have since collected additional evidence from the area where the phone was recovered. Investigators are examining the location for forensic clues that may help determine what happened before the victim’s death and whether anyone else was present at the scene. Authorities also confirmed that more CCTV footage tracing Mir Raza Ali’s movements has been obtained from nearby locations. The investigation team is carrying out a detailed technical and forensic examination of these recordings to reconstruct the victim’s final movements and identify any individuals who may have come into contact with him. Law enforcement officials said the investigation remains active and that all available evidence is being carefully reviewed. Detectives are comparing CCTV footage, forensic findings, witness statements, and digital evidence to establish a clearer picture of the events leading up to the murder. Police have not yet announced any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the case. They emphasized that multiple aspects of the investigation are being examined and that conclusions will only be drawn after all evidence has been thoroughly analyzed. The emergence of the latest CCTV footage is considered an important development because it may help investigators verify key details of the victim’s movements before the incident. However, officials cautioned that the investigation is still in progress, and no final determination has been made regarding the significance of the recovered mobile phone or its possible connection to the crime. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to pursuing every lead and using forensic and technical analysis to ensure that those responsible for Mir Raza Ali’s death are identified and brought to justice.

The Odyssey crosses Rs. 183 crore, targets Rs. 200 crore in India

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continues to perform steadily at the Indian box office, maintaining a solid hold even in its third week. The epic drama added an estimated Rs. 2.50 crore gross on its third Tuesday, taking its overall Indian box office collection to approximately Rs. 183 crore gross. Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, and Zendaya, the film has remained one of the strongest international performers in the Indian market this year. Despite entering its third week, the movie continues to attract audiences, particularly in premium cinema formats. Based on its current trend, The Odyssey is expected to conclude its third week with around Rs. 187 crore gross. It would then require only about Rs. 13 crore more to reach the coveted Rs. 200 crore mark, a milestone that industry estimates suggest could be achieved by the end of its fourth weekend. If the film continues to perform at its current pace, its lifetime theatrical run in India is projected to exceed Rs. 215 crore gross, making it one of Christopher Nolan’s highest-grossing films in the country. One of the film’s biggest strengths has been its exceptional performance in IMAX theatres. A significant share of its total earnings has come from premium large-format screens, with IMAX collections alone reaching approximately Rs. 60 crore across just 36 screens. This achievement has made The Odyssey the highest-grossing IMAX release ever in India, highlighting the audience’s preference for experiencing Nolan’s visually ambitious storytelling on the biggest screens available. Christopher Nolan’s reputation has once again proven to be a major driving force behind the film’s commercial success. Over the years, the Oscar-winning filmmaker has built a loyal fan base in India, where each of his new releases generates substantial anticipation. His previous films have consistently performed well, and the renewed interest in his work, including the successful re-release of Interstellar, has further strengthened his box office appeal. Interestingly, The Odyssey belongs to a genre that has not traditionally been among the strongest performers in the Indian market. Despite that, Nolan’s storytelling, technical excellence, and large-scale cinematic presentation have helped the film overcome genre limitations and attract audiences across major cities. The film’s box office journey in India has remained consistent throughout its run. It earned Rs. 104.50 crore gross during its opening week, followed by Rs. 55.25 crore gross in the second week. In its third weekend, the movie collected Rs. 4 crore on Friday, Rs. 7 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 7.25 crore on Sunday. It then added an estimated Rs. 2.50 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, bringing the cumulative total to approximately Rs. 183 crore gross. With stable weekday collections and continued support from premium-format screenings, The Odyssey remains on track for another successful weekend. If the momentum continues, the film is expected to comfortably cross the Rs. 200 crore milestone before completing its fourth weekend, further cementing Christopher Nolan’s status as one of the most successful Hollywood filmmakers at the Indian box office.

SpaceX revenue nearly doubles in first earnings report

SpaceX has released its first earnings report since becoming a publicly traded company. Revenue nearly doubled over the past year, even as artificial intelligence spending surged sharply. Despite beating analyst forecasts on both revenue and earnings, the company’s stock slipped in after-hours trading. Investors appeared more focused on rising costs than on the strong topline numbers. The company reported $7.8 billion in revenue for the second quarter. That marked a 92% jump compared to the same period last year. Net losses narrowed significantly to $541 million, down from $1 billion a year earlier. SpaceX began trading on the US stock market back in June. Starlink, the company’s satellite internet division, remained the only profitable business unit. It generated $1.6 billion in revenue during the quarter. Elon Musk told analysts on the earnings call that people were underestimating the company. He pointed directly to Starlink’s rapid growth as proof. Musk suggested Starlink could eventually power a large share of global internet access. Meanwhile, the company’s AI computing division posted a $1.2 billion loss on $2.5 billion in sales. The core space business also posted a loss, at $542 million on $962 million in sales. Musk said SpaceX currently runs 1.4 gigawatts of AI computing capacity. He added that this figure is expected to hit 10 gigawatts within the next year. Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnson said capital spending would stay steady for the rest of the year. Industry voices offered mixed reactions to the results. Carré Partners CEO Wendy Souvannarath noted that heavy AI investment has become the norm across tech firms. Analyst Brady Wang praised Starlink’s strong subscriber growth as a genuine bright spot. However, IG analyst Fabien Yip pushed back on Musk’s framing. He said it was a stretch to call the company underestimated while its AI division kept losing money.
