Erin Andrews spills the tea on Taylor and Travis’ wedding

Nearly a month after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce said their vows, sportscasters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are opening up about what made the day so special.

During a recent episode of their Calm Down podcast, the hosts congratulated the couple and described the celebration in glowing terms. Andrews called the night magical and admitted it stirred something in her, joking that witnessing the wedding almost made her want a similar commitment ceremony of her own.

Thompson chose not to reveal too many specifics about the event but shared one reflection that stuck with her. She said watching the couple exchange vows reminded her that once you find the right person, everything else falls into place. She added that the weekend reinforced a simple truth for her, that no amount of success or wealth means much without someone to share it with.

Andrews agreed with her co-host and noted that fans have been eager for details ever since the ceremony took place. She echoed Thompson’s sentiment, calling the night magical in her own words, and admitted she still feels protective of the pop star.

She also revealed that she almost pushed back publicly against people spreading false claims about the wedding online, saying she was frustrated watching strangers invent stories about things that simply never happened.

Looking back on the celebration, Andrews said one of her favourite parts was getting to meet people close to the couple whom she had only heard about before. She described the atmosphere as warm and effortlessly enjoyable, adding that everyone she crossed paths with was friendly and easy to be around.

Swift and Kelce’s wedding capped off a whirlwind engagement that lasted less than a year. The couple exchanged vows on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, turning the iconic arena into the setting for one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year.

With both hosts offering a rare glimpse into the day from the perspective of guests rather than tabloids, fans now have a warmer, more personal picture of how the celebration actually unfolded, far removed from the rumours that followed it online.

AB de Villiers says Pakistan bowling attack has lo…

Former South African batter AB de Villiers believes Pakistan’s bowling attack has lost the fear factor that once made the country’s fast bowlers among the most intimidating forces in international cricket. Speaking on his YouTube channel, de Villiers reflected on Pakistan’s rich history of producing world-class fast bowlers and said the current attack has yet to consistently demonstrate the same level of dominance. The former South African star recalled watching legendary Pakistani pacers including Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis and Mohammad Asif, describing them as exceptional bowlers who could create fear and uncertainty among opposing batters. According to de Villiers, Pakistan’s current pace attack has not consistently produced the same impact. He specifically mentioned Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, saying they still have the reputation and potential associated with great Pakistani bowlers but need to show greater consistency to match those expectations. He suggested that this issue has contributed to questions surrounding the effectiveness of the current bowling unit. The former batter further described the last three years as a difficult period for Pakistan cricket. He pointed to disappointing results, including a defeat against the West Indies, as evidence of the challenges facing the national side. However, de Villiers acknowledged that Pakistan is currently going through a rebuilding phase. He believes the upcoming performances of the country’s fast bowlers will be important in determining whether the team can restore its traditional reputation. The former South African international will be particularly interested in Pakistan’s fast-bowling performance against England. According to him, the series could provide an opportunity for Pakistan’s pacers to demonstrate whether they can bring back the aggression, pace and intimidation that once defined the country’s bowling attack. Pakistan has historically been synonymous with quality fast bowling, producing several generations of elite pacers. The challenge for the current generation is not simply to produce individual moments of brilliance but to deliver consistently across formats. De Villiers’ comments have therefore sparked a wider discussion about the state of Pakistan’s bowling attack and whether its current stars can revive the fear factor that once made Pakistan one of the most respected fast-bowling nations in world cricket.

Iran summons French ambassador over diplomats accu…

Iran summoned the French ambassador in Tehran this week over allegations that two French diplomats interfered in the country’s internal affairs. A spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the ambassador was called in specifically to address the conduct of the two diplomats stationed in Tehran. Speaking at a weekly press briefing, Esmaeil Baghaei said the meeting emphasized that the French government must halt what he described as interference in Iran’s domestic affairs carried out under misleading pretexts. Baghaei said both diplomats had been using contact with civil society groups as cover for activities that amounted to meddling in Iran’s internal matters, and argued that their conduct had no legal basis under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The dispute stems from an incident on July 20, when Iranian security forces detained the two French diplomats and questioned them for several hours before allowing them to return to the French embassy. One of the diplomats later alleged that he was subjected to physical mistreatment while in custody. French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barrot condemned the episode, describing it as an extremely serious act of intimidation. The incident adds to a period of heightened friction between Iran and Western governments, as Tehran remains locked in a broader standoff with the United States and its allies over its nuclear program and regional activities, a dynamic that has repeatedly spilled over into diplomatic disputes with European nations in recent months.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member shared that she has spent recent years recovering away from public attention, only now choosing to speak about what she has been going through. Though she was diagnosed years ago, Simon explained that coming to terms with the condition took an emotional toll. In her account, she described how severe arthritis was actually the first warning sign that something was wrong, well before doctors identified Parkinson’s as the underlying cause. She recalled reaching a point where walking became nearly impossible without significant assistance. That was when she and her family realized something more serious was happening. After undergoing thorough testing at the Mayo Clinic, she finally received her Parkinson’s diagnosis. Simon acknowledged that many fans and well-wishers had reached out over the years, curious about her extended absence from the spotlight and wondering how she had been doing. She explained that the truth was simple, she had been quietly learning how to navigate life with the disease. According to her, understanding the diagnosis and figuring out how much to share publicly took considerable time. She noted that Parkinson’s affects everyone differently and can be highly unpredictable. Some days leave her too exhausted to function normally, she said, while other days allow her more freedom to think, work, and feel like herself again. Beyond the Parkinson’s diagnosis, the 83-year-old singer faced another health scare. She underwent surgery to remove cancer from her face, an experience that affected her confidence about being seen publicly. Despite these challenges, Simon expressed gratitude for the support she’s received. She also shared some exciting news amid the health updates, revealing that she has been working on a new album titled “Comes in Waves.” Simon’s openness about her health struggles offers a rare, personal look into what she has faced privately over the years, even as she continued creating music behind the scenes. Her willingness to speak candidly about both the physical and emotional dimensions of living with a chronic illness, alongside a separate cancer diagnosis, reflects a level of vulnerability not always seen from artists of her stature. As she continues working on new material, fans are likely to feel reassured knowing she’s still creating, even while managing significant health challenges behind the scenes.
