Nicole Kidman details her prep behind ‘Lioness’ season 3

Nicole Kidman is opening up about the intense preparation behind her scenes in “Lioness”. She revealed exactly what she and co-star Morgan Freeman make sure to nail down before filming begins.

In the CIA thriller series created by Taylor Sheridan, the 59-year-old actress plays Kaitlyn Meade, while 89-year-old Morgan Freeman portrays Edwin Mullins. The show also features an ensemble cast, including Zoe Saldaña, Jill Wagner and Laysla De Oliveira.

Speaking at Paramount+’s Icons of Taylor Sheridan’s Universe event, Kidman explained that the work never really stops, even when cameras aren’t rolling. She said the entire cast has to fully understand every single line they deliver.

According to her, the scripts are genuinely dense, requiring the cast to work through them carefully for every episode. She described the process as a significant undertaking that demands constant attention.

Kidman explained that dialogue has to come out naturally, almost as if it is part of everyday conversation. She admitted that achieving that level of ease takes real effort, since the material itself isn’t something people would normally say casually.

She specifically credited her ongoing collaboration with co-stars Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman. According to Kidman, the three of them are constantly working together behind the scenes to get the material right.

She revealed that before filming key scenes, she and Freeman always break down their lines in detail. Kidman said they consistently ask themselves what specific words and phrases actually mean, working through definitions repeatedly.

She explained that this process ensures the entire cast stays fully aligned on what they are discussing throughout each scene. According to her, that level of preparation is essential given how technical and layered the show’s dialogue can be.

Season three of “Lioness” premiered on Paramount+ on August 2, with new episodes releasing weekly every Sunday. Kidman’s comments offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at just how much preparation goes into delivering the show’s fast-paced, dialogue-heavy storytelling.

Among the disputed matters were the future ownership and structure of Tata Sons, whether the company should pursue a stock market listing, losses at Air India, the proposed departure of a minority shareholder and the composition of the board. Tata Sons had postponed a decision on Chandrasekaran’s reappointment in February after Noel Tata, chairman of Tata Trusts, opposed extending his tenure. Six months later, the issue remained unresolved. A person familiar with Chandrasekaran’s decision said the disagreement with Tata Trusts was the sole reason behind his decision not to seek another term. Tata Trusts has not publicly commented on the development. Leadership change comes at difficult time Chandrasekaran’s planned departure comes as the Tata Group faces challenges across several major businesses. Air India, which is controlled by Tata, has been struggling with losses following its return to private ownership. Under his leadership, Tata expanded its presence across technology, automobiles, aviation, electronics and consumer businesses. The Tata Group is one of India’s oldest and most prominent business organisations. Its companies operate across a wide range of sectors, with products and services ranging from salt and consumer goods to automobiles, hotels, aviation and software. The group’s publicly listed companies had a combined market value of hundreds of billions of dollars at the end of March, highlighting the potential significance of any leadership transition at Tata Sons.     PM takes notice of lawmakers’ absenteeism

    ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the low attendance of lawmakers during parliamentary sessions. Speaking to the media outside the National Assembly on Tuesday, Sadiq said some federal ministers had raised the issue of members’ absence with the prime minister. He said the government and lawmakers were now paying attention to improving attendance. The speaker’s comments came after a session of the National Assembly witnessed a low presence of members, with a large number of seats remaining vacant during proceedings. Sadiq said maintaining the required quorum was not solely the responsibility of the speaker. He said both the government and opposition benches had a duty to ensure that their members attended parliamentary proceedings. He expressed hope that attendance would improve when the next session is held, which is expected to take place later this week. According to the speaker, the government had conveyed that it recognised the seriousness of the issue and intended to improve lawmakers’ presence in future sessions. Sadiq urged members from both sides of the House to remain present during proceedings. He said parliamentary sessions provided limited time for debate, questions, discussions and legislation, and lawmakers should make full use of the opportunity. He said several attempts had been made to bring the two sides to the negotiating table.
