Samsung’s latest software update has sparked concern among some Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra users, with numerous reports suggesting that the update has negatively affected battery performance, charging speed, and overall device temperature. Many users have taken to online technology forums and social media platforms to share their experiences, claiming that their smartphones are no longer performing as efficiently as they did before installing the update.

According to user reports, one of the most common issues is rapid battery drain. Several Galaxy owners have said their devices now lose power at a much faster rate, even during light or moderate usage. Some users claim that a phone charged to 100% can drop to a significantly lower battery level within only a few hours, despite being used for basic tasks such as messaging, browsing the internet, or checking emails. This unexpected battery consumption has become a major source of frustration for many customers who previously enjoyed reliable battery life.

Another frequently reported problem is overheating. Users say their smartphones become unusually warm shortly after the software update, even when the devices are idle. Users may also benefit from temporarily disabling automatic cloud backups if they suspect syncing services are contributing to the problem. Restarting the smartphone can also terminate unnecessary background processes that may have become stuck after the update, potentially improving battery life and reducing overheating.

This is not the first time Samsung users have experienced battery-related issues following a major software release. Similar problems have been reported after previous updates, and in many cases, the company later resolved them by releasing follow-up software patches.

Until Samsung provides an official fix, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra owners experiencing these problems may need to rely on these temporary troubleshooting methods. Users are also encouraged to keep their devices updated, as future software releases are expected to address the reported battery drain, overheating, and charging performance concerns.

    ISLAMABAD: Pakistani YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, has urged parents to take greater responsibility for monitoring their children’s online activities. Speaking during a recent podcast, the content creator responded to criticism directed at YouTubers when children develop what parents consider inappropriate habits. Ducky Bhai said parents should decide what their children watch online. He argued that children are not required to watch any particular YouTuber and that parents have the ability to restrict or monitor their access to digital content. He recalled the restrictions placed on him by his own parents during his childhood. According to the YouTuber, his father closely monitored his computer use and used parental-control software to track the websites and content he accessed. Ducky Bhai said his parents also linked access to games and other forms of entertainment with his academic performance. He used the example to argue that parents today can similarly establish rules for their children’s use of phones, tablets and computers. He also stressed that YouTube should not be treated like a school or an educational requirement. He said viewers have the choice to watch his content or avoid it. The YouTuber also discussed his experience of spending around three months in jail in connection with allegations involving an online gambling application. Ducky Bhai was granted bail in November 2025 after spending approximately 100 days at Camp Jail in Lahore. Reflecting on the experience, he described his time in custody as extremely difficult. He said the limited space and isolation made the period particularly challenging. He recalled being unable to move freely or access recreational facilities available in other parts of the prison. According to Ducky Bhai, prisoners in other areas could spend time outdoors, play sports and use recreational facilities. He said he was not permitted to visit the prison library but requested books during his detention. He also revealed that he began reading newspapers for the first time during his imprisonment. The YouTuber said his time in custody also separated him from the public reaction to his case. He explained that social media feeds generally show recent content, making it difficult to find older posts and determine who had supported or criticised him during his imprisonment. Ducky Bhai also commented on controversies involving fellow content creator Rajab Butt. He suggested that personal disputes should be addressed quickly and privately before they become larger public controversies. He said family elders could play an important role in resolving such disputes. Drawing from his own experience, he said his time in jail made him realise how deeply a public controversy can affect a creator’s family.

    Karachi: The investigation into the death of Mir Raza Ali took a fresh turn on Tuesday as SSP Ali Raza, a member of the newly formed investigation team, visited the location where the deceased was found. Mir Raza’s family members accompanied the SSP during the visit, where he examined the site in Gulistan-e-Johar and reviewed the spot where the body had been recovered. He also questioned the gardener who had discovered the body to obtain details about the circumstances in which it was found. Meanwhile, six samples have been received by the University of Karachi laboratory for DNA testing. Sources said four of the samples were collected from Mir Raza’s body, while two were reference samples from his parents. The laboratory is expected to release the DNA results as soon as possible. The investigation gained further significance following the emergence of an initial medical report after Mir Raza’s exhumation and post-mortem on August 8. The report reportedly identified multiple signs of injuries and possible violence on his body. According to the preliminary findings, the bullet wound was smaller on the back and larger on the front, indicating that the bullet may have entered from behind. The report also noted fractured ribs, several injuries to the head and face, and a fracture and wound measuring around 12 centimetres on the right thigh. Blood traces were also reportedly found in the tissues of the lower part of the body, raising further questions about the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death. The DNA results and ongoing investigation are expected to provide further clarity on the case.

    Karachi Court orders Mir Ali Raza’s exhumation

    KARACHI: A judicial magistrate’s court in Karachi has approved a plea seeking the exhumation of businessman Mir Ali Raza’s body, directing the Sindh Health Secretary to immediately constitute a medical board to oversee the process. The Judicial Magistrate (East) announced the decision on Thursday after reserving its verdict following arguments from both sides. The court instructed the relevant authorities to complete the exhumation as soon as possible to facilitate a fresh medical examination. During the hearing, counsel for the petitioner argued that the police had no legal grounds to object to the exhumation, maintaining that the procedure would be carried out under the supervision of the Police Surgeon and the Medical Legal Officer (MLO), as required under the law. The lawyer further informed the court that the Police Surgeon had identified several deficiencies in the initial post-mortem report. According to the submissions, no X-rays were conducted, the exact cause of death was not conclusively established, and the report was allegedly prepared on assumptions rather than comprehensive medical findings. The court questioned how such an order could be passed without first issuing notice to the investigating officer. In response, the government prosecutor stated that the prosecution had no objection to the exhumation, describing the matter as one involving the search for the truth in a human life. The petitioner’s counsel argued that notifying the investigating officer at this stage could unnecessarily delay the proceedings and affect the timely collection of forensic evidence. After noting the prosecution’s no-objection stance, the court accepted the family’s application and directed the Health Secretary to form a medical board without delay. The board will supervise the exhumation and carry out the necessary medical examination to help determine the cause of death more accurately. The case has drawn public attention following questions raised by the deceased’s family over the circumstances surrounding Mir Ali Raza’s death and the quality of the initial forensic investigation. The court’s decision is expected to pave the way for an independent medical review, with the findings likely to play a significant role in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are now expected to begin the legal and administrative process required to carry out the exhumation under official supervision.

He said that the Islamic world could work together more effectively if countries focused on common interests and strengthened cooperation among themselves. Ashrafi said that religious scholars have an important role to play in safeguarding Pakistan and promoting peace, stability and unity within society. According to him, the role of the ulema is particularly important at a time when the country faces various social, political and security challenges. He stressed that religious scholars should contribute to strengthening harmony among people and discouraging divisions based on sectarian, political or social differences. He said that unity and consensus were essential for the stability and progress of Pakistan. The Pakistan Ulema Council chairman also spoke about the registration of religious seminaries across the country. He said that around 22,000 seminaries had already completed their registration. He described the development as an important step toward bringing religious institutions into a more organized framework. Ashrafi maintained that cooperation between the government, religious scholars and religious institutions could help address several challenges facing the country. He said that seminaries and their scholars could play a constructive role in promoting education, social responsibility and national cohesion. Referring to the wider Muslim world, Ashrafi suggested that Islamic countries could establish stronger mechanisms for collective cooperation. He pointed to NATO as an example of countries working together for shared security and strategic interests. In his view, Muslim-majority countries also have the potential to develop stronger cooperation if they demonstrate unity and mutual understanding. He said that the Muslim world possesses significant human, economic and strategic resources, but greater coordination is needed to make these strengths more effective. Cooperation among Muslim countries, he added, could help them address common challenges and protect their collective interests. Ashrafi further emphasized that Pakistan’s stability depends not only on government institutions but also on the positive contribution of religious scholars and other segments of society. He called on the ulema to continue playing their role in promoting peace, tolerance and national unity. He reiterated that the Pakistan Ulema Council believes in unity and consensus rather than division. According to him, differences of opinion can exist, but they should not become a source of conflict or weaken the country. The remarks come amid continuing discussions about the role of religious institutions and scholars in Pakistan’s social and national affairs. The registration of seminaries has remained an important issue, particularly in relation to regulation, documentation and the integration of religious education with broader national objectives. The observance of Kashmir Exploitation Day concluded with renewed calls from Pakistan’s political leadership for greater international engagement on the Kashmir dispute. Leaders urged the United Nations and the global community to work towards a peaceful resolution of the issue in accordance with international law and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
