short intense exercise

Short intense exercise may benefit your body

A new study suggests that you may not need to spend hours exercising every day to support your health.  Even a few minutes of very intense physical activity can cause important changes inside the body.

Researchers found that intense exercise can quickly change hundreds of proteins in the blood These proteins are linked to heart health metabolism body fat and other important body functions.

What did the study find?

The researchers compared short high-intensity cycling with cycling at a normal pace.  Participants completed several 30-second bursts of very fast cycling with about four minutes of rest between each burst.

After the intense exercise changes were found in 714 blood proteins. In comparison only 7 proteins showed similar changes after normal paced cycling. This suggests that exercise intensity can strongly affect how the body responds.

What happens during intense exercise?

During hard exercise the body produces different chemical signals.  One of them is called Lac-Phe, which has been linked to appetite energy use and other body processes.

These signals may also affect metabolism and how fat cells work. Some of the protein changes seen in the study were connected to processes related to heart disease type 2 diabetes and obesity. Researchers also examined data from more than 53,000 people.

Some of the proteins affected by intense exercise were linked to healthy aging heart health and the risk of metabolic diseases.

Is a few minutes of exercise enough?

The findings do not mean that three minutes of intense exercise can completely replace a longer workout.  Different types of exercise provide different benefits.

Longer moderate exercise can still be important for improving endurance muscle strength and heart and lung health.

However the study shows that even short periods of intense activity may have meaningful effects on the body. For people with busy schedules adding brief bursts of physical activity to their daily routine could be a practical option.

However high intensity exercise is not suitable for everyone. People who have not exercised for a long time or have a medical condition should speak with a healthcare professional before starting intense workouts.

    Theories behind Shakespeare’s true identity

For centuries, William Shakespeare has been indicated as the undisputed genius of Western literature. His masterworks, ranging from the tragedy of Hamlet to the romantic drama of Romeo and Juliet, form the bedrock of English theater. Yet, beneath the reverence lies one of the most persistent controversies in literary history. Did a provincial actor from Stratford-upon-Avon actually pen these legendary plays? Was Shakespeare merely a convenient alias for another genius working in the shadows? The Paradox of the Bard’s Background Doubts surrounding Shakespeare’s authorship stem largely from the sharp contrast between his known biography and the astonishing depth of his literary canon. Born in 1564, Shakespeare attended the local grammar school where he learned Latin and basic rhetoric. He never pursued higher education at a university, nor did he ever leave England. In contrast, the plays attributed to him demonstrate an extraordinary mastery of complex subjects. They reveal intimate familiarity with international geography, continental languages, high-stakes royal politics, aristocratic court etiquette, and intricate legal doctrines. In an era before public libraries and widespread travel, skeptic scholars often called Anti-Stratfordians question how a man with limited schooling and exposure to foreign cultures could possess such erudition. This discrepancy has led many to speculate that the real Shakespeare acted primarily as a public frontman. As an actor and shareholder in the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, Shakespeare was well-positioned in London’s theatrical community. High-born courtiers or politically vulnerable figures who wished to write plays may have utilized Shakespeare’s name to publish their works safely. The Leading Candidates Over years, prominent figures from Tudor and Jacobean society have emerged as alternatives for the true authorship. Sir Francis Bacon: A brilliant philosopher, statesman, and pioneer of the scientific method. Bacon possessed the intellectual rigor and courtly insight required to craft the plays. Proponents argue that he’s Lord Chancellor and a government insider. So, Bacon couldn’t openly associate with public theater. It would’ve definitely ruined his political standing and risking royal disapproval. Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford: Educated at Cambridge, well-traveled throughout Europe, and a celebrated poet in his own right, de Vere fits the profile of an elite playwright. However, a major hurdle for the Oxfordian theory is that de Vere passed away in 1604 several years before iconic plays like The Tempest and Macbeth were produced. Christopher Marlowe: Perhaps the most dramatic theory involves Shakespeare’s contemporary, Christopher Marlowe. A gifted Cambridge graduate and spy for the Tudor government, Marlowe officially died in a tavern brawl in 1593. Skeptics suggest he faked his death to escape charges of heresy and treason, subsequently continuing to write under the pen name William Shakespeare. Notably, the first publications under Shakespeare’s name appeared just weeks after Marlowe’s reported demise. Was the Genius a Woman? The authorship debate extends beyond male nobles to include extraordinary women of the Elizabethan court. Shakespeare’s plays are remarkable for their nuanced, highly capable female characters who defy traditional stereotypes of the era. Two prominent women are frequently cited in authorship theories. Mary Sidney, Countess of Pembroke: An accomplished writer, classical scholar, and major patron of the arts, Sidney hosted a renowned literary salon and authored closet dramas meant for private performance. Emilia Bassano: Born to a family of Venetian court musicians believed to have Jewish heritage, Bassano possessed both international ties and formal education. Her background offers a compelling explanation for the Italian settings and Jewish themes present in works such as The Merchant of Venice. An Enduring Literary Mystery Mainstream academic consensus remains firmly with the man from Stratford-upon-Avon. They pointed to contemporary records, theatrical tributes and historical references. The debate surrounding the Bard’s identity continues to fascinate scholars and theater lovers alike. Whether created by a single self-made dramatist or a hidden collective of noble minds, the plays continue to inspire readers across the globe.

7 easy tricks to boost internet speed on Android phones

We all experience this: trying to load a webpage, stream a video or open an app on our Android phones. However, sometimes the internet becomes so slow that it feels like it is crawling. Slow internet on a phone affects downloads and uploads, websites take longer to open and videos may remain stuck instead of playing smoothly. Fortunately, Android phones offer several tools and tricks that can help improve internet speed. Clear background apps Apps running in the background use data, processing power and internet connectivity. Clearing or disabling unnecessary background apps can prevent them from affecting internet speed. For this purpose, go to Settings and disable unnecessary apps running in the background. Clear cache for faster internet When you use apps or visit websites on an Android phone, the device stores some data known as cache. These files are designed to help apps and websites run more efficiently and can be useful in the short term. However, when too many cache files accumulate, they may affect performance and internet speed. Therefore, clearing an app’s cache can help improve the device’s performance. To do this, go to Settings, select Apps, open the relevant app’s information page then select Storage and tap Clear Cache. Update operating system and apps Outdated operating systems and apps can affect performance and internet speed. • Which plane seat is safest?

Many people choose to travel by air because it is fast comfortable and one of the safest ways to get from one place to another.  However when an airplane accident happens many passengers wonder. Is there a seat that offers a better chance of survival? The good news is that air travel remains far safer than traveling by road or rail. Although plane crashes often receive worldwide attention because they are rare and serious the number of deaths from aviation accidents is much lower than from road accidents. According to global aviation safety data flying has one of the lowest accident and death rates of any form of transportation. Is there a safest seat? There is no seat that can guarantee survival in every accident.  Aviation experts say the outcome depends on many factors including the type of crash the speed of the aircraft and where the impact occurs. However studies of past accidents suggest that some seats may provide a slightly better chance of survival in certain situations. What research shows A review of airplane crashes over 35 years found that middle seats in the rear section of the aircraft had the lowest death rate, around 28%.  By comparison seats in the middle section of the plane had a higher death rate. Another study by Popular Mechanics which examined crashes between 1971 and 2005 found that passengers sitting in the back of the plane were up to 40% more likely to survive than those sitting closer to the front. Why the back may be safer Aviation experts explain that the front of the aircraft often absorbs the first impact during some types of crashes.  Because of this passengers seated in the rear may have a better chance of surviving in certain accidents. The back of the aircraft is also closer to the rear emergency exits which may help passengers leave the plane more quickly if an evacuation is needed. But every crash is different Experts also warn that there is no “perfect” seat. Some crashes affect the rear of the aircraft first while others damage the front or middle section. In accidents involving mountains the ocean or explosions survival may depend more on the nature of the crash than on where a passenger is sitting. For example if a plane crashes into a mountain or falls into the sea the chances of survival are often very low regardless of seat location. Emergency exit seats can help Passengers sitting near emergency exits may be able to leave the aircraft faster after a crash provided the exits remain usable.  Quick evacuation is often an important factor in survival. What Aviation Authorities Say The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says no part of an airplane is officially considered safer than another. Survival depends on many factors, including the type of accident the force of the impact fire and how quickly passengers can evacuate. Research suggests that seats near the back of the aircraft especially the middle seats in the rear section may offer a slightly better chance of survival in some crashes. However no seat can guarantee safety. The most important thing passengers can do is wear their seat belt listen to the safety briefing and follow the cabin crew’s instructions.  These simple steps can make a big difference in an emergency.

  • Experts warn against extra soft pillows

A soft pillow may feel comfortable at first but health experts say it is not always the best option for good sleep. They explain that a pillow should not only feel soft in the store but also provide proper support for your head and neck throughout the night. Physiotherapists say many people choose pillows after trying them for only a few minutes. However the real test comes after several hours of sleep. As your head presses down on the pillow it can lose its shape. If it does not give enough support your neck and spine may become misaligned leading to pain or stiffness in the morning. Allan Fu, a physiotherapist and lecturer at the University of Sydney says many people judge a pillow by how comfortable it feels at first. He believes the most important thing is whether the pillow keeps your head and neck properly supported all night. A short test in a store is not enough to know how well a pillow will perform. Experts say the average human head weighs about 4.5 kilograms which means a pillow is under constant pressure while you sleep. If it is too soft it may not support your head and neck properly. That is why comfort should not be the only thing to consider when buying a pillow. Research suggests that latex and memory foam pillows may help reduce neck pain because they keep their shape better and provide steady support. Feather and synthetic fiber pillows can also be used but experts recommend choosing firmer versions as very soft ones lose their support more quickly. Experts also advise against judging a new pillow after just one night. Feather and synthetic pillows usually settle into their normal shape within a day or two while memory foam pillows may take several weeks to fully adjust to your body. When buying a pillow experts recommend lying on it for a few minutes if possible.  A pillow that feels slightly firmer or a little higher at first may become more comfortable with regular use. They say proper support is more important than softness for keeping your neck healthy.
