Holly Willoughby laughs off daughter’s YouTube tease

Television presenter Holly Willoughby has admitted she is still learning the ropes of YouTube after launching her new digital series Together, revealing that her teenage daughter laughed at her attempts to sound like an experienced content creator.
The former This Morning host recently premiered the first episode of her YouTube show, which features celebrity conversations in a relaxed setting. Actor Stanley Tucci, known for The Devil Wears Prada, appeared as the programme’s first guest. The launch has also drawn comparisons between Willoughby’s new venture and Meghan Markle’s lifestyle-style content.
Speaking on Sara Cox’s Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the 45-year-old presenter described the release of the series as an emotional milestone.
“Today is launch day, this is like I’m giving birth today!” Holly said, adding that moving away from traditional television to a digital platform still feels unfamiliar.
She admitted that stepping into the world of YouTube has been a completely new experience after spending decades working in broadcast television.
During the conversation, Sara Cox jokingly asked whether Holly’s children were annoyed that she had entered a platform usually associated with younger audiences.
Laughing, Holly recalled her daughter Belle’s reaction while filming promotional messages encouraging viewers to subscribe.
“My daughter was laughing at me as I was saying ‘subscribe and ding the bell and you’ll get notifications.’”
She revealed that Belle quickly pointed out how unfamiliar she sounded with YouTube culture.
“She was like, ‘mum, you really don’t know what you’re talking about,’ and I’m like, ‘no I don’t but I’m learning!’” Holly said.
The presenter admitted that adapting to digital content creation has taken her outside her comfort zone, particularly after building her career through conventional television formats.
Unlike her previous programmes, Together is designed specifically for YouTube, allowing Holly to have longer and more informal conversations with well-known personalities.
The show’s debut episode featured actor and food enthusiast Stanley Tucci, whose appearance helped launch the series. Since its release, viewers have discussed the programme online, with some drawing comparisons between Holly’s approach and Meghan Markle’s recent lifestyle projects.
According to the report, Together is produced by Hungry Bear Media, the production company owned by Holly’s husband, Dan Baldwin. The company has produced several successful British entertainment programmes and is now backing Holly’s latest move into digital media.
Although she acknowledged that she is still adjusting to YouTube’s style and audience expectations, Holly appeared enthusiastic about embracing the new challenge. Her comments suggested that she is willing to learn from younger viewers—including her own children—as she builds a presence on the platform.
The presenter has received support from many fans following her honest remarks, with viewers praising her willingness to laugh at herself while trying something new. Rather than pretending to know everything about the digital world, Holly openly admitted she is still figuring it out, a response many found both relatable and refreshing.

Kendall Jenner, Jacob Elordi’s latest outing fuels split rumors

Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi’s relationship has become the subject of fresh speculation after the pair were spotted together at a recent Chris Stapleton concert, with their public appearance prompting renewed discussion about their romance. The couple, who have been linked since earlier this year, attended the concert while keeping a relatively low profile. Both opted for casual white T-shirts and stayed near the side of the stage, avoiding unnecessary attention as they enjoyed the event together. Despite their relaxed appearance, a body language expert suggested that the couple’s interactions reflected a noticeable shift in their relationship dynamic. According to the analysis, Jenner appeared less confident than in previous public outings, while Elordi seemed calm and at ease throughout the evening. The expert observed that Jenner’s gestures were more animated and expressive, describing them as attempts to seek attention or reassurance. In contrast, Elordi reportedly displayed a composed and comfortable demeanor, leading to speculation that the balance in their relationship may have changed. Particular attention was drawn to Jenner’s posture during the concert. The expert noted that the model was seen sitting with her legs crossed while holding her ankle, interpreting the pose as a sign of vulnerability or a desire for reassurance. The analysis suggested that adults sometimes adopt childlike body language when they feel emotionally threatened or uncertain, although such interpretations remain subjective and cannot confirm a person’s actual emotions. Another moment highlighted by the expert involved Jenner gesturing toward something while extending her arm across Elordi’s body. This movement was interpreted as a possible sign of protectiveness or a desire to keep her partner close. The expert argued that the interaction reflected a different dynamic from the couple’s earlier public appearances. Based on these observations, the body language specialist suggested that Elordi appeared to hold a more confident position within the relationship, while Jenner seemed to be seeking greater emotional reassurance. However, body language analysis is based on interpretation rather than confirmed fact, and it cannot accurately determine the true state of a relationship. Neither Jenner nor Elordi has publicly addressed the speculation surrounding their romance, and there has been no indication from either of them that their relationship is experiencing difficulties. The couple has generally chosen to keep their personal lives private and has rarely commented on media reports about their relationship. Jenner, one of the world’s most recognizable fashion models and television personalities, has often maintained a low-key approach to dating despite intense public interest in her personal life. Elordi, meanwhile, continues to focus on his acting career, with several high-profile film projects attracting attention in recent months. The pair first sparked romance rumors earlier this year after reportedly meeting through mutual friends, including Justin and Hailey Bieber. Since then, they have been photographed together on several occasions, fueling ongoing interest from fans and entertainment media. While recent body language interpretations have led to renewed breakup speculation, there is currently no official confirmation that Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi are facing problems in their relationship. For now, reports about the couple’s status remain based largely on public appearances and expert opinion rather than statements from the pair themselves.

Rare star explosion creates mysterious gas bullets…

Astronomers have made a remarkable discovery in the Milky Way after observing a rare exploding star releasing extremely fast-moving streams of gas. Scientists have described these unusual formations as cosmic “bullets” because of their incredible speed and shape. According to a new study, the gas material is being expelled from the star system at speeds of nearly 20 million miles per hour, creating a phenomenon that has never been observed in this way before, either in our galaxy or in other known stellar explosions. The discovery involves a rare helium nova known asV445 Puppis, which has been under observation for more than two decades. Scientists were able to study the star in greater detail after the surrounding cloud of dust became less dense, revealing new information about the unusual explosion taking place around it. Researchers from the University of Warwick confirmed that V445 Puppis is the only known helium nova of its kind in the Milky Way. The system consists of a white dwarf star that is collecting helium fuel from a rare companion star, eventually triggering an extraordinary stellar eruption. Unlike typical stellar explosions, this event involves the release of helium-rich material, creating powerful and unusual gas streams that have surprised researchers. The exact nature of these mysterious “bullets” and the process responsible for producing them are still not fully understood. Scientists believe that studying this rare phenomenon could provide valuable insights into how unusual stellar explosions occur and how stars evolve under extreme conditions. Understanding these events may also help researchers learn more about the behavior of white dwarfs and their role in shaping the evolution of galaxies. The discovery of V445 Puppis represents a significant step forward in astronomy, as it offers scientists a rare opportunity to examine a type of cosmic event that has never been observed in such detail before. Further observations will be needed to determine how these high-speed gas formations are created and what their long-term impact may be on the surrounding space environment. For astronomers, the mysterious “bullets” from this exploding star remain one of the most fascinating discoveries in recent cosmic research.

Arooj Aurangzeb calls out support for Indian Gen Z

Arooj Aurangzeb is a name that carries real weight in Pakistan’s student activism circles. In 2019, she went viral after a video of her reciting a powerful poem during the student solidarity march spread rapidly across social media. She was protesting alongside thousands of other students who were demanding the restoration of student unions and proper political representation for young people within the country’s institutions. The videos from that movement were electric, emotional and widely shared, including hers. Seven years later, she is back in the public conversation, but this time it is not because of a protest. It is because of a contradiction she says she can no longer stay quiet about. When Indian students began protesting over the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar, demanding justice and systemic reform in the country’s examination system, Pakistani social media users responded with visible enthusiasm. Support poured in from across the border, with many Pakistanis praising the Indian Gen Z for their courage, awareness and refusal to be silent. Arooj Aurangzeb watched that wave of support and felt something shift inside her. She took to social media to point out what she saw as a glaring and painful inconsistency. While Pakistanis were celebrating the Indian protesters and calling their movement inspiring, many of those same people had ridiculed, trolled and dismissed her and her fellow students when they took to the streets in 2019 for exactly the same kind of systemic change. She did not hold back. She highlighted the irony directly, asking how the same people who mocked Pakistani students fighting for their rights could turn around and feel so moved by Indian Gen Z doing the same thing. Her post was not framed as anti-India. It was framed as a question about selective empathy and the way Pakistanis sometimes extend more admiration to voices from abroad than to those speaking up at home. The internet did not respond with silence. Reactions were divided and sharp. Some users sided with her immediately. “We never stand by our own heroes,” one person wrote, capturing the frustration that Arooj was articulating. Others pushed back, with one commenter arguing that the dynamics of Indian and Pakistani Gen Z are completely different and that direct comparisons were unfair. Another raised a pointed question of their own, asking why so many Pakistani revolutionaries eventually leave the country on foreign visas, a remark that suggested the critique went both ways. Arooj Aurangzeb’s voice in 2019 was a reminder that young Pakistanis were willing to stand up and demand something better. Her voice in 2026 is a reminder that those same young people are still watching, still paying attention, and still asking why the recognition they deserved then continues to be denied while admiration flows so freely elsewhere.

Monsoon fury raises flood risks across Pakistan, N…

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s disaster management authorities have issued a fresh flood alert as intensified monsoon rains continue to push water levels higher in major rivers, raising concerns over flooding in several parts of the country. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said river flows are expected to increase significantly between August 2 and 4, urging citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to vulnerable areas and remain alert to changing weather conditions. According to the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC), high flooding has been observed in the Lehri River at Head Gogi, while Nullah Palkhu near Wazirabad is experiencing medium-level flooding. The Indus River is currently witnessing low-level flooding at Kalabagh, Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur, while similar conditions have been reported at Head Nari on the Nari River. The NDMA warned that the Chenab River is likely to experience high water flows at Marala, with low to medium flooding anticipated at Khanki and Qadirabad. Water levels are also expected to rise in the Jhelum, Ravi and Kabul rivers and their tributaries as monsoon activity intensifies. Officials cautioned that streams connected to the Jhelum, Chenab and Ravi rivers could swell to medium or high levels. Meanwhile, water flows in the Ravi and Sutlej rivers will largely depend on releases from reservoirs across the border. The authority also expressed concern over the possibility of flash floods in the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur, as well as seasonal streams in central and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan. In addition, urban flooding and waterlogging remain a serious threat in several cities, including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta and other parts of Sindh due to continued heavy rainfall. The NDMA advised residents to avoid crossing flooded roads and waterways, monitor weather updates before travelling, and follow safety instructions issued by local authorities. It also encouraged the public to use the official Pak NDMA Disaster Alert mobile application for real-time weather warnings and emergency information. Separately, the Prime Minister’s Emergency Response Committee (ERC) held its 10th consecutive daily review meeting to assess the country’s monsoon situation. The meeting, chaired virtually by Planning Minister Prof Ahsan Iqbal, brought together federal ministries, provincial governments, disaster management authorities and senior administrative officials. During the briefing, the NDMA presented the latest updates on weather conditions, casualties, infrastructure damage, rescue operations and rehabilitation efforts. Officials informed the committee that deputy commissioners in all high-risk districts had already been directed to remain fully prepared for any emergency. The committee was told that recent heavy rains had caused flooding in multiple regions, with coordinated rescue and relief operations continuing through federal, provincial and district authorities. Weather experts also forecast more rainfall across northern and central Pakistan in the coming days, while isolated showers are expected in southeastern Sindh. The NDMA highlighted that relief activities are being carried out with the support of both national and international humanitarian organisations. Officials further noted that most monsoon-related fatalities this season resulted from the collapse of unsafe and poorly constructed buildings, underscoring the need for stricter enforcement of building safety regulations and greater public awareness. The ERC commended the efforts of government institutions, provincial administrations, district authorities, the armed forces and rescue teams for their ongoing response. It directed all relevant departments to strengthen coordination, maintain maximum preparedness, accelerate relief and rehabilitation work, and take preventive measures to minimise the impact of future weather emergencies.

Netflix traps man in billboard to promote new horror film

Netflix has gone with an unconventional approach to promote its upcoming horror film, The Last House. The streaming giant transformed a regular billboard into a live psychological stunt above Hollywood traffic. The bizarre campaign involves a man hired by Netflix, who is now “living” inside a small room built into the billboard structure itself. Footage circulating widely on social media shows him going about everyday routines like reading and stretching in full public view. Commuters and passersby along Sunset Boulevard can watch him throughout the day. Unable to speak directly to the crowd below, the performer communicates using a whiteboard instead. The billboard itself is designed to resemble a vine-covered house, complete with a front door, drainage pipe and chimney. Beneath a window, an ominous message reads: how long can you survive? According to Netflix, the man will remain inside the structure from August 6 through August 8. The company described the stunt as an eerie echo of the film’s central storyline. In an official post, Netflix explained that the performer would try to carry on as normally as possible inside the enclosed space. His interactions with the public, they said, deliberately mirror the trapped predicament faced by the film’s characters. The Last House is a Netflix-presented horror thriller starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents Ann and Jason. The film also features Riley Chung and Noah Alexander Sosnowski as their children, Ruth and Graham. The story follows a family who find themselves trapped inside their own home, with a sinister threat lurking somewhere within its walls. The unconventional marketing push appears designed to build intrigue ahead of the film’s streaming debut. The Last House officially premiered on Netflix on August 7, giving audiences their first chance to see how the trapped-family concept plays out on screen.

Danny Ramirez reveals biggest surprise about Aveng…

Danny Ramirez has opened up about one of the most memorable parts of filming Avengers: Doomsday, revealing that the biggest surprise was not the blockbuster action or the star-studded cast, but the chance to reunite with one of his closest friends. Speaking to People magazine during San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, the actor reflected on his experience working on the highly anticipated Marvel film and described the atmosphere on set as unforgettable.  Ramirez reprises his role as Joaquin Torres, the new Falcon, in Avengers: Doomsday. The actor said returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was exciting on its own, but sharing the experience with longtime friend Lewis Pullman made it even more special. The two actors previously worked together on Top Gun: Maverick and have remained close ever since. According to Ramirez, reuniting on another major project felt like “summer camp,” with the cast enjoying a fun and supportive environment behind the scenes.  The actor explained that the chemistry among the cast members helped create a positive work atmosphere despite the enormous scale of the production. With Marvel bringing together heroes from the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men franchises, Ramirez admitted it was surreal to see so many iconic characters sharing the same set. He said every day offered new surprises, making the experience unlike anything he had worked on before.  Ramirez also spoke about working alongside legendary performers such as Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. In another Comic-Con interview, he praised both actors for their professionalism and dedication, saying he learned a great deal simply by watching them perform. He noted that their decades of experience and command of storytelling inspired him to become a better actor.  Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of Marvel Studios’ biggest crossover events to date. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film features the return of several beloved MCU stars while introducing major characters from other Marvel franchises. Robert Downey Jr. will make his highly anticipated return to the Marvel universe, this time portraying the iconic villain Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man.  For Ramirez, however, the film’s biggest highlight was far more personal than any action sequence or special effect. He said reconnecting with Pullman reminded him of why he loves making movies, emphasizing the friendships that can grow through years of collaboration. That sense of camaraderie, he explained, made every day on set enjoyable and helped create lasting memories beyond the cameras.  As anticipation builds for Avengers: Doomsday, Ramirez’s comments have given fans a glimpse into the film’s positive behind-the-scenes atmosphere. While audiences are eagerly waiting to see Marvel’s biggest heroes unite on screen, the actor says the genuine friendships formed during production may be the most rewarding part of the entire journey.
