Kelly Osbourne pays heartfelt tribute to Ozzy on f…

Kelly Osbourne has shared an emotional tribute to her late father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, marking the first anniversary of his death with a deeply personal message about love, loss, and grief. The television personality took to Instagram on July 22 to reflect on the profound impact her father’s passing has had on her life, nearly one year after the music icon died at the age of 76.

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and one of heavy metal’s most influential figures, passed away on July 22, 2025, following health complications related to Parkinson’s disease and other medical conditions. His death marked the end of an extraordinary career that spanned more than five decades and left a lasting mark on the world of rock music.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, Kelly described grief as something that changes a person forever. She wrote that she not only mourns the loss of her father but also the version of herself that existed before experiencing such heartbreak. She reflected on how losing someone so important transforms every part of life, making even joyful moments feel different.

Kelly also admitted that she still finds herself wishing she could call her father for advice, share exciting news with him, or simply hear one of his jokes again. She described the pain of missing him as something she carries every day, adding that despite the heartbreak, being Ozzy’s daughter remains one of the greatest blessings of her life.

The touching tribute comes after several months in which Kelly has continued to honor her father’s memory. Earlier this year, she shared an emotional Father’s Day message and even got a tattoo inspired by Ozzy’s signature black sunglasses, a symbol closely associated with the legendary rocker throughout his career.

Fans from around the world flooded the comments section of Kelly’s tribute with messages of support, remembering Ozzy not only as the “Prince of Darkness” but also as a devoted husband, father, and cultural icon. Many thanked the Osbourne family for continuing to celebrate his legacy while openly sharing their grief.

As the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing is observed, tributes continue to pour in from family, friends, fellow musicians, and fans. For Kelly, however, the day is about much more than remembering a rock legend. It is about honoring the father who shaped her life, supported her through every challenge, and left behind memories that continue to guide her even in his absence.

Hanin Shah’s heroics fall short as Falcons win CPL thriller

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons began their Caribbean Premier League 2026 campaign with a dramatic two-wicket victory over Jamaica Kingsmen, sealing the opening match on the final delivery after a tense finish. The Falcons successfully chased down a target of 168, but what appeared to be a comfortable pursuit turned into a nail-biting contest during the final over. Jamaica Kingsmen, batting first, posted 167 runs after a competitive innings. Reeza Hendricks provided an aggressive start, scoring 42 off 25 balls, while Rovman Powell played a valuable captain’s knock of 47 from 37 deliveries. For the Falcons, Alzarri Joseph was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets and helping restrict the Kingsmen to a total that remained within reach. The Falcons looked well placed during the chase and entered the final over needing just six runs with four wickets in hand. Victory appeared almost certain, but Jamaica’s young fast bowler Hanin Shah suddenly changed the mood of the contest. Shah conceded three runs from the first two deliveries before producing a stunning response. He struck twice in successive balls, taking two wickets and putting the Falcons under unexpected pressure. With the equation reduced to two runs from the final delivery, Shah delivered another impressive ball into the blockhole, denying the batter the opportunity to play a big shot. However, the dramatic finish ultimately went against Jamaica. The Falcons managed to complete the required two runs after a misfield by Kingsmen captain Rovman Powell at long-on. The fielding error allowed the visitors to cross the line and secure a thrilling two-wicket victory on the final ball. For Shah, the ending was particularly frustrating. His brilliant final over had brought Jamaica back into contention and left the Falcons needing to find a way through under intense pressure. Despite his late heroics, the young pacer could not prevent his side from suffering defeat. The result gave Antigua and Barbuda Falcons a winning start to their CPL 2026 campaign, while Jamaica Kingsmen were left to reflect on a match that had seemingly slipped away before Shah produced a remarkable late fightback. The opening fixture provided exactly the kind of drama expected from the Caribbean Premier League, with powerful batting, timely wickets and a last-ball finish setting the tone for the tournament.

Paris Jackson reacts after fan brands her tattoos …

Paris Jackson has made it clear that she is not interested in letting strangers dictate how she should look. The singer and actress recently hit back at an Instagram user who criticized her extensive collection of tattoos, saying the body art made her look “dirty.” Jackson responded with a blunt and sarcastic comment, showing that the criticism had little effect on her. The exchange happened after E! News shared an Instagram post about Jackson opening up about meeting her mother, Debbie Rowe, for the first time. The post featured a photo highlighting the colorful chakra-inspired tattoo running down the center of Jackson’s chest. (E! Online) One commenter complimented Jackson’s appearance but then criticized her tattoos, writing that they made her look dirty and took away from her overall look. Jackson was quick to respond. “Oh no what ever will i do 😰 (i’m dirty even without the tattoos),” she wrote, turning the criticism into a joke rather than allowing it to become a serious confrontation. (People.com) The commenter continued to defend their opinion, telling Jackson that she was beautiful and questioning why she had “messed with perfection.” Jackson did not appear interested in continuing the argument. The reaction is hardly surprising considering Jackson’s long-standing love for tattoos. The 28-year-old has accumulated more than 80 tattoos over the years, with many carrying personal or symbolic meanings. She has previously explained that some of her tattoo decisions were spontaneous and even revealed that she has done some of them herself. (People.com) One of her most meaningful tattoos is the word “Applehead” written across her left foot. The nickname was associated with her late father, Michael Jackson. When she revealed the tattoo in 2017, Paris described it as a tribute to her father and connected it to the idea of him guiding her as she moved through life. (People.com) Her response also comes at a time when Jackson has been opening up about her family and childhood. In a recent Call Her Daddy interview, she discussed meeting her mother, Debbie Rowe, for the first time when she was 15. She recalled that their first meeting was surprisingly relaxed and that they gradually became closer. (EW.com) For Jackson, tattoos appear to be more than just a fashion choice. They are a form of self-expression and, in some cases, a way of carrying memories and personal experiences with her. While social media users may continue to have opinions about her appearance, Jackson’s latest response shows that she is comfortable making her own choices. Rather than changing herself to satisfy critics, she seems perfectly happy to embrace the tattoos that have become part of her identity. And judging by her sarcastic comeback, online criticism is not going to make her rethink her ink anytime soon.

PTI rift deepens as Salman Akram Raja, Mashal Yous…

ISLAMABAD: Differences within the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have intensified as senior party figures Salman Akram Raja and Mashal Yousafzai exchanged allegations over party affairs and accusations related to the alleged sale of tickets. Salman Akram Raja criticised those who, according to him, were unable to pursue the matter through legal channels and had instead resorted to what he described as baseless allegations against Mashal Yousafzai over ticket-selling claims. Raja also said he did not know who had nominated Yousafzai as a senator, maintaining that the decision had been made on the instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan. He added that he did not have the authority to remove her from the Senate. In response, Mashal Yousafzai alleged that Raja had made his recent statements after apologising to the PTI founder. She challenged the party leadership to take action against Raja if it had the authority to remove him from the party. The dispute has also drawn comments from PTI leader Shandana Gulzar, who questioned Raja’s remarks concerning money. She raised questions over the whereabouts of millions of rupees allegedly received from the United States and said that those responsible would face serious consequences if the matter was investigated. The exchange has added to growing tensions within the opposition party, with allegations and counter-allegations emerging as its leadership continues to grapple with internal disagreements.

Kartik Aaryan joins Salman Khan in Assam flood relief effort

Kartik Aaryan has stepped forward for Assam. He has donated Rs 1 crore to the state’s Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The contribution comes as the state continues to battle severe flooding. His gesture follows a similar move by Salman Khan just days earlier. The Assam CM’s office confirmed the donation on X. The post expressed gratitude for the actor’s generous support. It called the gesture commendable and timely, especially given how badly the state has been hit this year. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared his own message of thanks. He said he was truly moved by Aaryan’s contribution. He added that the support would go a long way in helping the people of Assam through this difficult period. Salman Khan had already been involved before this. He quietly partnered with one of his fan clubs based in Assam. Together, they launched a phased relief campaign through his NGO, Being Human. The effort reportedly started with distributing food to families in need. Other Bollywood stars have pitched in as well, though in different ways. Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt have both used their social media platforms to spread awareness. They have been sharing resources and relief information with their followers. The situation on the ground, however, remains serious. According to the latest ASDMA bulletin, two more deaths were reported in Sivasagar district. One of the victims was a child. This has pushed the year’s flood death toll to 80. Around 2.12 lakh people are currently affected across four districts. These include Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat and Sivasagar. Charaideo has been hit the hardest. Nearly 80,000 people there have been displaced from their homes. There has been some improvement since Wednesday. Back then, more than three lakh people were reported affected. Despite the drop in numbers, relief operations are still in full swing across the state. Authorities have set up 112 relief camps so far. These camps are currently housing over 75,000 displaced residents. Multiple agencies are working together on the ground. The Army, NDRF, SDRF and other state bodies remain actively involved in rescue and relief efforts. As Assam works through one of its toughest flood seasons in recent memory, support from public figures like Aaryan and Khan is being seen as a welcome boost. For many affected families, though, the road to recovery is still just beginning.

Met Gala 2027 to honour British fashion designer

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that celebrated British fashion designer John Galliano will be the focus of its Spring 2027 Costume Institute exhibition, titled John Galliano: Horizons. The exhibition will also serve as the inspiration for the Met Gala 2027, making Galliano only the third living designer to receive a solo exhibition at the museum. The announcement marks a significant milestone in Galliano’s career. Before him, only Yves Saint Laurent in 1983 and Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons in 2017 had been honoured with individual exhibitions while still alive. The Costume Institute exhibition will officially open on May 9, 2027, with the Met Gala serving as its traditional fundraising event before remaining on display until January 9, 2028. According to the museum, John Galliano: Horizons will explore the designer’s extraordinary career, tracing his creative evolution from his acclaimed 1984 graduation collection at Central Saint Martins to his work at Givenchy, Christian Dior, his own label, and Maison Margiela. The exhibition will feature garments, sketches, research books and archival material drawn from the Costume Institute’s extensive collection. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who has long admired Galliano’s work, praised the designer while announcing the exhibition. “There is no one more deserving of an exhibition of this scale than John Galliano,” Wintour said in a statement. She continued, “His body of work, at Dior, Givenchy, Margiela, his namesake label and more, combines erudition and creativity, darkness and light, the past, the present, the future all smashing together in a brilliant way.” The exhibition has been curated by Andrew Bolton, who explained the philosophy behind the project and why Galliano’s career remains an important subject in contemporary fashion. Bolton described the exhibition as treating “fashion as a form of cartography, mapping not territories but affinities, tensions, and transformations.” He further explained that the exhibition would examine “how Galliano has remapped the world through fashion and how his conduct, its consequences, and changing cultural values have reshaped our understanding of his work.” Organisers have also confirmed that the exhibition will not avoid one of the most controversial chapters of Galliano’s life. In 2011, the designer was dismissed from both Christian Dior and his own fashion label after making racist and antisemitic remarks. He was later convicted by a Paris court for public insults based on race, religion and ethnicity. According to The New York Times, the museum’s decision to move forward with the exhibition followed a private meeting held in May between Galliano, Andrew Bolton, Anna Wintour and several Jewish community leaders in New York. Rather than overlooking the controversy, the exhibition aims to place it within the broader context of Galliano’s life and career, examining both his artistic achievements and the consequences of his actions. With John Galliano: Horizons, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hopes to present a comprehensive look at one of fashion’s most influential and debated designers, while the Met Gala 2027 is expected to celebrate his lasting impact on the global fashion industry.

26 personnel killed: AJK police blame JAAC

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Police have accused the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) of deliberately targeting law enforcement agencies during recent unrest in the region. AJK Police spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Riaz Mughal made the allegations during a press conference on Wednesday. He said 26 police and other law enforcement personnel had been killed in incidents of unrest across AJK during 2026. He claimed that another 157 personnel had suffered serious injuries, while 629 others sustained minor injuries. Mughal did not provide details of each incident linked to the reported casualties. He questioned how the JAAC protests could be described as peaceful if law enforcement personnel were being killed and injured. The police spokesperson said state institutions did not target people without reason. He claimed that security personnel took action against individuals who attacked law enforcement agencies. His comments came after clashes between protesters and security personnel in Rawalakot and Mirpur earlier this week. The incidents reportedly resulted in several casualties. The JAAC has been protesting for several weeks over various public demands. One of its key demands is the abolition of 12 seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly reserved for refugees from Indian-administered Kashmir. Mughal alleged that protesters had attacked police and Rangers personnel during the unrest. He also claimed that some people had been held captive and that their identity documents had been taken. The SSP urged people to visit AJK and observe the situation independently. He said the nature of the protests and the activities of those participating should be assessed impartially. Mughal further alleged that some protesters were equipped with firearms and claimed that police and other law enforcement personnel had been targeted by snipers. During the briefing, police officials displayed weapons they said had been recovered during operations against protesters. Mughal claimed the weapons had been used against law enforcement personnel. He also referred to previous clashes involving the JAAC. According to Mughal, a confrontation on May 11, 2024, occurred when police attempted to stop protesters travelling towards Muzaffarabad. He said one police officer was killed and around 60 personnel suffered serious injuries. He added that 174 other policemen sustained minor injuries. The SSP also cited unrest in October 2025. He claimed that three police officers were killed, 52 personnel suffered serious injuries and another 357 were injured in the incidents. Mughal described the protesters involved in violent incidents as anti-state elements. He alleged that some were involved in activities that amounted to terrorism. He further claimed that around 70 per cent of the protesters were criminals, including alleged drug dealers who had joined the protests under the JAAC banner. The allegations were made by the police official and were not independently verified. The police spokesperson’s remarks came amid heightened tensions in AJK following several days of protests and clashes. The government has also alleged that militant elements linked to a foreign agenda and allegedly backed by Indian funding were attempting to fuel unrest in the region.
