Kylie Kelce shuts down pregnancy rumors with blunt message: ‘Stop it’

By Amna Malik

Kylie Kelce has made one thing crystal clear—she is not expecting baby number five.

The 34-year-old podcast host and wife of former NFL star Jason Kelce addressed the growing speculation during the latest episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast after online rumors claimed she was pregnant again. Kylie, who shares four daughters with Jason, did not hold back as she responded to the claims with her trademark honesty and humor.

“We have four kids,” Kylie said before delivering a direct message to those fueling the rumors. “Stop trying to get me to have more. Stop it. That’s between me and my husband and my motherf—ing uterus.”

The rumors reportedly gained traction after photos from the family’s recent vacation in Paris showed Kylie wearing a loose-fitting dress. Some social media users quickly began speculating that the outfit was hiding a baby bump. Kylie, however, rejected those assumptions and explained why people should stop commenting on women’s bodies.

During the podcast, Kylie stressed that wearing comfortable or oversized clothing should never be viewed as proof that someone is pregnant. She argued that people need to stop making assumptions based solely on appearance, adding that such comments can be hurtful and intrusive.

Kylie and Jason Kelce are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finnley. The couple has often shared funny and heartfelt parenting moments with fans, but Kylie made it clear that decisions about expanding their family remain private.

This is not the first time Kylie has spoken out against pregnancy speculation. In the past, she revealed that she had experienced a miscarriage before welcoming her children, making false pregnancy rumors especially painful. Her previous comments encouraged people to think twice before asking women whether they are expecting, as they never know what someone may be going through behind the scenes.

Fans praised Kylie for addressing the rumors so openly, with many applauding her for speaking about body image and personal boundaries. Her candid remarks also sparked a wider conversation online about respecting women’s privacy and avoiding unnecessary speculation about pregnancy.

For now, Kylie says her family is complete with four children, and she hopes people will stop turning every outfit or vacation photo into another round of baby rumors. Her message was simple, firm and impossible to misunderstand: decisions about having children belong to her and Jason alone—not the internet.

Preity Zinta faces backlash over post on Delhi student protest

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has come under heavy criticism on social media after commenting on the ongoing student protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party. The actor shared her views on X, saying that while it is important to stand with students and support educational reforms that can positively shape the future of young people, it is equally important to ensure that peaceful demonstrations are not taken over by individuals or groups seeking to create unrest or change the purpose of the movement. In her post, Zinta questioned whether hostile elements, both within and outside the country, were attempting to exploit the anger and frustration of students. She said the amount of hostility visible on social media had made her wonder if such groups had already begun using the students’ concerns for their own agendas. She further stated that she has always believed in hard work and equality, adding that these values should never be compromised. Zinta also expressed confidence in India’s democratic system and said she hoped both sides would engage in meaningful dialogue to resolve the issue. According to her, constructive discussions could help defeat divisive agendas while ensuring a brighter future for both the country’s youth and its democracy. Her remarks quickly gained widespread attention online, with the post spreading rapidly across social media platforms. However, instead of receiving broad support, the actor found herself at the centre of intense criticism from many users who questioned both the timing and the content of her statement. Several social media users alleged that Zinta’s comments appeared to reflect the government’s narrative rather than an independent opinion. Some accused her of sharing what they described as a “scripted” message, claiming it echoed official talking points instead of addressing the concerns raised by protesting students. Others questioned why several celebrities, who had previously remained silent on public issues, were now speaking about the student movement. Critics argued that public figures should express their own genuine views instead of appearing to defend any political position. Some users also suggested that celebrities should either speak independently on matters of public concern or choose to remain silent, rather than posting statements that they believe are intended to influence public perception. These reactions led to heated discussions across X and other social media platforms, where supporters and critics debated the actor’s remarks. Despite the criticism, many users also defended Zinta’s right to express her personal opinion, arguing that public figures should be free to comment on national issues without facing personal attacks. The debate highlighted the growing divide on social media over the ongoing student protests and the role celebrities play in shaping public conversations. As online reactions continue to pour in, Zinta has not issued any further clarification regarding her post. The discussion surrounding her remarks remains active, with thousands of users continuing to share differing opinions on the controversy and the wider debate over the student movement in New Delhi.

PPP alleges polling irregularities during second p…

ISLAMABAD: The second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections faced fresh controversy on Sunday after the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) alleged delays, administrative shortcomings and electoral irregularities in several constituencies. Meanwhile, the AJK Election Commission postponed polling in one constituency due to severe weather conditions. Polling continued in 21 constituencies, including nine seats in Muzaffarabad Division and 12 refugee constituencies across Pakistan. More than 1.2 million registered voters were eligible to cast their ballots under strict security arrangements. PPP AJK Election Cell In-charge Sardar Abdul Shakoor claimed that polling was delayed in several constituencies because polling staff failed to reach polling stations before voting began. He said dozens of polling stations remained without election officials at the scheduled opening time, causing inconvenience to voters and delaying the electoral process. According to the PPP, similar problems were reported in multiple constituencies where polling staff arrived late, preventing voters from exercising their right to vote on time. The party urged the Election Commission and local administration to ensure immediate deployment of staff and restore normal polling. Separately, the AJK Election Commission announced that polling in LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I had been postponed after heavy rainfall and landslides blocked key roads, making it impossible for polling teams and election material to reach several polling stations. Election authorities said efforts were made to reopen the affected routes, but worsening weather conditions prevented polling from taking place. The Commission said a new polling date would be announced later and apologised to voters for the inconvenience. The PPP questioned the decision to postpone polling across the entire constituency. Party leaders argued that if only certain polling stations were affected by landslides, polling should have continued in the remaining accessible areas. They called on the Election Commission to release a detailed report explaining the reasons behind the postponement. The party also alleged delays in additional constituencies, claiming that polling staff had not reached several stations even hours after voting officially began. It maintained that the delays affected voter participation and raised concerns over the smooth conduct of the election. PPP leaders further alleged that blocked roads prevented hundreds of voters from reaching polling stations. The party demanded the immediate reopening of affected routes and called for measures to ensure that voters could cast their ballots without obstruction. In another complaint, the PPP claimed that some of its polling agents were prevented from performing their duties at polling stations despite fulfilling legal requirements. The party urged election authorities to intervene and ensure equal treatment of all contesting candidates and their representatives. The PPP also accused rival political workers of violating election rules in certain constituencies and alleged that government employees were participating in election activities in violation of the code of conduct. The party demanded an immediate investigation and legal action wherever irregularities were confirmed. Separately, PPP leader Nadeem Afzal Chan criticised the conduct of the elections, describing reported delays in ballot paper distribution and administrative issues as unacceptable. He said the party wanted the electoral process to remain transparent and credible and warned that unresolved issues could undermine public confidence.

SBP injects Rs11.6tr into banking system

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) injected around Rs11.6 trillion into the country’s banking system through an open market operation on Monday, providing significant liquidity to banks. The central bank conducted a reverse repo auction under its Open Market Operations (OMOs). Banks submitted bids worth Rs11.777 trillion across two different tenors. The SBP accepted Rs11.613 trillion in total. For the four-day tenor, banks offered Rs31 billion. The central bank accepted the entire amount at an interest rate of 11.54%. The bids in this category ranged between 11.56% and 11.54%. The 14-day tenor attracted much larger demand. Banks submitted offers worth Rs11.746 trillion. The SBP accepted Rs11.583 trillion at a cut-off rate of 11.51%. The bidding rate for the 14-day facility ranged from 11.57% to 11.51%. Of the Rs5.6527 trillion offered specifically at 11.51%, the central bank accepted Rs5.48415 trillion on a pro-rata basis. The large-scale liquidity injection comes as banks continue to manage their short-term funding requirements. Open market operations are among the SBP’s key tools for managing liquidity and maintaining stability in the financial system. Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee recorded a slight improvement against the US dollar during Monday’s trading session. The rupee strengthened by three paisa, closing at Rs277.62 per dollar compared with the previous close of Rs277.65. The marginal gain reflected relative stability in the foreign exchange market. The US dollar index also declined by 0.1%. The index, which measures the dollar against six major international currencies, traded near its lowest level of the month at 99.519. Gold prices, meanwhile, moved sharply higher in Pakistan. The price of gold increased by Rs2,000 per tola to reach Rs461,936. The price of 10 grams also rose by Rs1,715 to Rs396,035, according to market rates. The increase followed a strong recovery in international bullion prices. Gold has gained around 9% in August and was trading near $4,400 an ounce. Market analysts said the recent recovery suggested renewed interest from institutional investors and central banks. The rebound has also pushed gold above key technical resistance levels. This has strengthened expectations that prices could move higher if buying momentum continues. Gold had faced heavy pressure following the escalation of the US-Israel conflict with Iran. International prices fell from a record level of around $5,595 an ounce in January to below $4,000 in June. The decline prompted some investors to raise cash. Some central banks also used reserves to support their domestic economies as oil prices surged. Analysts now believe renewed central bank purchases could support the precious metal. Institutional investors are also rebuilding their holdings after the earlier sell-off.

Gohar says meeting PTI founder key to political im…

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that a meeting with the party’s founder is essential for improving the current political situation. Speaking to reporters near Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Gohar said political tensions could not be reduced through the registration of cases and continued confrontation. He was responding to questions about a case registered against Noreen Bibi. Gohar said statements made by Noreen Niazi should be viewed as her personal opinion. He added that she had already clarified her position. He also stressed the importance of Kashmir for Pakistan, saying the region held a special place in the country’s national interest. The PTI chairman criticised the political approach of the country’s two major parties. He said their political activities had contributed to the current situation. Gohar also defended PTI’s decision to boycott the recent Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. He said the party had called for a better political environment before participating in the electoral process. He stressed that free and fair elections were necessary for Pakistan to move forward. According to him, political parties should avoid unnecessary point-scoring at a time when the country needs stability. Gohar also made PTI’s position on terrorism clear. He said the party would not support the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan under any circumstances. He described TTP members as terrorists and said action against terrorism was necessary. At the same time, Gohar said peaceful political protests should be handled differently. He emphasised that peaceful demonstrations should not be treated in the same manner as acts of terrorism or violence. He said PTI would also hold discussions with Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai. He expressed hope that allied political parties would stand together on August 5. Speaking about national security, Gohar referred to the recent conflict with India. He described Pakistan’s response as a matter of national pride and said the country would respond strongly if India attempted similar action in the future. Gohar also commented on Aleema Khan’s political activities. He said PTI’s important members of the National and Provincial Assemblies were supporting her. He again defended the party’s boycott of the AJK elections. Gohar claimed that voter turnout remained very low, estimating it at around 5 to 7 per cent. He said PTI had decided not to support demands that it considered against the state or the Kashmir cause. He maintained that the election boycott was a carefully considered political decision. Gohar said the current situation required politicians to listen to the people instead of focusing solely on political competition. He stressed that public concerns should remain at the centre of political decision-making.

US and Asian chip stocks fall after report of Chinese semiconductor breakthrough

Shares of major semiconductor companies dropped sharply on Monday after a report suggested that a Chinese firm has made significant progress in developing advanced chipmaking equipment. The news raised concerns among investors that China could reduce its reliance on foreign technology and strengthen its position in the global semiconductor industry. The market reaction followed a report by The Information, which said Shanghai Yuliangsheng is producing immersion deep ultraviolet lithography machines. These machines use ultraviolet light to carve extremely small circuits onto silicon wafers, a key step in manufacturing modern computer chips. Neither Shanghai Yuliangsheng nor related companies SiCarrier and Huawei responded immediately to requests for comment. However, the report was enough to unsettle investors, who fear that China’s progress in chip manufacturing could reshape competition in the technology sector. If the reported breakthrough proves successful, China could reduce its dependence on Dutch company ASML, the world’s leading supplier of advanced lithography equipment. ASML’s exports are subject to strict restrictions, limiting China’s access to some of the most advanced chipmaking technology. Developing its own DUV lithography machines would allow China to expand domestic chip production and accelerate the development of more powerful processors. Industry analysts believe this could help Chinese technology companies narrow the gap with leading American semiconductor manufacturers. The development is also seen as important for China’s artificial intelligence industry. Improved access to advanced chips would strengthen the country’s AI capabilities and help Chinese companies compete more closely with leading US firms developing cutting edge AI models. The report triggered heavy selling across the US technology sector. Shares of AMD fell by as much as eight percent during trading, while Nvidia dropped nearly five percent. Micron Technology also lost around five percent, and Intel declined about 3.7 percent as investors reassessed the competitive outlook for the semiconductor industry. The decline spread quickly to Asian markets on Tuesday. South Korea’s stock market suffered steep losses as concerns over the future of the AI industry combined with the reported Chinese breakthrough. The Kospi index plunged more than 10 percent to its lowest level since April. Major South Korean chipmakers were among the hardest hit. Shares of SK hynix and Samsung Electronics each fell by around 12 percent as investors worried that stronger competition from China could affect future earnings and market share. Japan’s technology sector also came under pressure. The Nikkei 225 index dropped more than four percent, while leading technology companies including Advantest, Kioxia and Tokyo Electron each lost more than 10 percent during trading. The sharp decline across global markets highlights how closely investors are watching developments in the semiconductor industry. As countries compete to secure leadership in chip production and artificial intelligence, even reports of technological advances can have an immediate impact on stock markets and reshape expectations for the future of the global technology sector.

Fresh claims link India using Afghan soil for anti…

ISLAMABAD: Fresh claims regarding alleged Indian support for anti-Pakistan militant groups have resurfaced after former Afghan intelligence chief Masood Andarabi made remarks linking New Delhi to militant activities operating from Afghan territory. According to media reports, Andarabi, while speaking during a program hosted by The Diplomat, claimed that India has sought to expand its influence in Afghanistan following recent regional developments. He alleged that New Delhi’s objective is to cultivate influence over the militant group referred to by Pakistan as Fitna al-Khawarij and use it to advance activities against Pakistan. His comments have reignited discussions over Pakistan’s longstanding position that militant groups allegedly backed by India have exploited Afghan soil to target Pakistan’s security and stability. The developments come amid heightened regional tensions following Pakistan’s reported strikes on suspected militant hideouts inside Afghanistan. Analysts say the operation was intended to signal Islamabad’s resolve against cross-border terrorism while underscoring its concerns over the presence of armed groups operating from Afghan territory. Security experts believe Andarabi’s remarks lend support to Pakistan’s repeated assertions that hostile elements have used Afghanistan as a base for launching attacks against Pakistan with alleged external backing. However, India has consistently rejected such accusations and denies supporting militant activities against Pakistan.
