Pentagon drops 41 new UFO files spanning 1950 to 2026

The Pentagon has released 41 new declassified documents related to unidentified flying objects. The files span an enormous timeframe, covering incidents from 1950 all the way through 2026.

Among the most striking entries is a 1963 telegram from Brazil, describing a dead crewman found inside a crashed metal balloon. A follow-up cable sent just six days later, however, called the entire report fabricated.

This marks the fifth batch of declassified UFO material released so far this year. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced the files on Friday under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, known as PURSUE.

The collection draws from multiple agencies, including the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department and the Executive Office of the President. Parnell confirmed that additional releases are already being prepared for the future.

Interestingly, these documents predate today’s broader UFO disclosure movement by decades. The earliest file dates back to January 1947, referencing so-called “ghost rockets” spotted over Finland and Denmark the year before, believed at the time to be Soviet rocket tests.

A separate 1948 memo sent to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base confirmed that some kind of flying object had genuinely been sighted, though no explanation was ever given.

More recent entries include a 2021 account from military personnel in the Gulf of Oman. They reported spotting 25 objects moving at speeds up to 1,300 miles per hour during a live-fire operation.

Another document details a former service member’s account of a massive, silent, triangular object seen over Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan back in 2002. The object was reportedly around 500 feet long and blocked out the stars as it passed overhead.

Two additional triangle sightings, both from Colorado Springs, were digitally rendered by the FBI based on witness testimony rather than actual photographs. One reconstruction dates to 2011, the other to 2023.

Together, the newly released files offer a rare, wide-ranging look into decades of military encounters with unexplained aerial phenomena.

They demand the government to act on the NEET paper leak and deeper flaws in the education system. Ayesha is known for speaking up on social issues. She has a strong following online and one of several people detained as police cleared the area in Dadar. Her videos are now circulating widely while many are waiting to see if the Mumbai police will respond to her questions.

    LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Punjab has arrested three suspects in coordinated operations across Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan for allegedly harassing, blackmailing, and targeting women through social media platforms. The operations were carried out under the special directives and supervision of NCCIA Punjab Director Muhammad Ali Waseem as part of an intensified campaign against cyber-enabled crimes involving women. During the raids, investigators seized mobile phones, SIM cards, and other electronic devices containing digital evidence, while further investigations are underway. In Lahore, NCCIA officials arrested Qaiser Bilal in connection with FIR No. 151/2026. Authorities said a mobile phone recovered from the suspect allegedly contained objectionable photographs of the complainant, threatening messages, and evidence of image sharing. Investigators further alleged that the suspect created a private TikTok account under the name “Miss.B” to upload the victim’s photographs and falsely posed as an officer of a sensitive government institution to intimidate and blackmail her. The case is being investigated by Sub-Inspector Umm Salma. In Faisalabad, officials arrested Soban Ahmed under FIR No. 100/2026. According to investigators, the suspect allegedly used social media platforms and WhatsApp to blackmail and threaten the complainant’s sister by exploiting objectionable material. A mobile phone and SIM cards believed to have been used in the offence were recovered during the operation. Sub-Inspector Umar Rehman is leading the investigation. Meanwhile, in Multan, NCCIA arrested Muhammad Imran in connection with FIR No. 123/2026. Authorities alleged that the suspect obtained objectionable images of the complainant and circulated them through multiple WhatsApp accounts while continuously harassing the victim and her family. Investigators recovered a mobile phone, two SIM cards, and the WhatsApp account allegedly used in the crime. A court has granted a four-day physical remand of the suspect to facilitate further investigation, which is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Saeed Ahmed. Director NCCIA Punjab Muhammad Ali Waseem reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting women from online harassment, blackmail, and the misuse of digital platforms. He said the agency would continue taking strict legal action against those involved in cybercrimes targeting women and would use advanced digital forensic techniques to ensure offenders are brought to justice.

    Iran rejects 60-day deadline for talks with US

He added that Iran was working with Oman on mechanisms to ensure safe navigation and shipping through the strategic waterway. The remarks come as tensions between Tehran and Washington remain high, with diplomatic efforts continuing to prevent further escalation in the region.
