Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari has strongly rejected the election results, declaring that his party will not accept what he described as a flawed and manipulated electoral process. Addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad, Bukhari alleged that the elections were marred by widespread irregularities, voter manipulation, and violence, making them neither free nor fair.

Bukhari claimed that the PPP possesses evidence of electoral misconduct. According to him, ballot papers were allegedly distributed among supporters of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and party workers were seen providing ballot papers outside polling stations. He argued that such practices seriously undermined the credibility of the electoral process and violated the principles of transparent and democratic elections.

Speaking to journalists, Bukhari questioned the fairness of the election, stating that a truly transparent election should allow voters to cast their ballots freely without interference or manipulation. He accused the authorities and political rivals of attempting to ensure victory for their preferred candidates through unfair means. As a result, he emphasized that the PPP does not recognize these elections as free and fair and therefore refuses to accept the announced results.

The PPP leader also made serious allegations against a PML-N candidate, claiming that the individual was involved in a murder case. He urged the relevant law enforcement agencies and government institutions to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure that those responsible are arrested and brought to justice. According to Bukhari, allowing such individuals to contest elections raises serious concerns about the rule of law and the integrity of the democratic process.

Bukhari further alleged that law and order in Azad Jammu and Kashmir had significantly deteriorated. He pointed to what he described as increasing incidents of violence and political intimidation during the election period. Referring to recent events, he claimed that even the President of Azad Kashmir had been attacked, calling it evidence of the worsening security situation and the failure of the authorities to maintain peace.

He also highlighted attacks on members of his own party. Bukhari stated that PPP Member of the National Assembly Salahuddin Junejo was attacked, while PPP worker Mushtaq Hussain Shah was killed. He described these incidents as tragic examples of political violence and intimidation aimed at discouraging democratic participation. Furthermore, he alleged that in constituency LA-31, the PPP candidate was attacked by PML-N workers and was subsequently hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the incident.

Describing the elections as fraudulent and heavily rigged, Bukhari argued that the overall electoral environment was neither peaceful nor impartial. He maintained that the democratic rights of voters had been compromised and that the results failed to reflect the genuine will of the people. He stressed that elections conducted under such circumstances cannot earn public confidence or democratic legitimacy.

Concluding his remarks, Bukhari stated that governments established through coercion and manipulation cannot gain lasting public acceptance. He reaffirmed that the PPP respects the will of the people and believes that democratic principles must always be upheld. However, he alleged that the public mandate, particularly in the Mirpur Division, had not been respected. According to Bukhari, the people of Azad Kashmir had rejected the PML-N, and the election results did not accurately represent the voters’ true choice.

The show’s first season earned a 91% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of Marvel Television’s best-reviewed recent projects. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance. The nomination marked another milestone in his career, making him the first live-action performer to receive Emmy recognition for both Marvel and DC projects after previously winning for HBO’s Watchmen. Television critic Alison Herman praised the performances of the two lead actors, writing, “Abdul-Mateen and Kingsley make their characters equally ridiculous and romantic, urged on by a motivation more intimate and individual than saving the world.” Marvel described the series through its official synopsis, stating, “Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams (Abdul Mateen) is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery (Kingsley), an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak (Burić) is remaking the superhero film ‘Wonder Man.’” The synopsis continues, “These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.” Although Disney has not released official streaming figures, Wonder Man briefly reached No. 8 on Nielsen’s Streaming Originals chart during its debut week before dropping out of the rankings the following week. The reported cancellation comes as Disney continues reducing its Marvel television output in favour of fewer, more focused productions. The studio has increasingly shifted away from producing a large number of interconnected streaming series, instead prioritising projects with stronger long-term potential. The latest development is particularly surprising because Wonder Man had reportedly been greenlit for a second season in March, only weeks after its debut. However, according to Variety, those plans ultimately did not progress into active development, with no writers’ room ever being assembled. While Marvel Studios has not officially commented on the report, the decision signals another step in Disney’s broader effort to streamline its Marvel Television slate despite the show’s positive reviews and award recognition.

    Major US financial firms targeted in extensive phone-phishing campaign

    Ransom-seeking cybercriminals have launched a coordinated campaign targeting high-profile US financial institutions, including Blackstone, Apollo Global Management, KKR, Bain Capital, and CME Group. A technical report from Google’s Threat Intelligence Group revealed that hackers created 72 malicious websites designed to steal corporate login credentials. Operatives used social engineering tactics, reaching employees directly on personal mobile phones while spoofing corporate IT helpdesk numbers. Under the guise of urgent system updates, callers guided staff to fraudulent domains such as “passkeyhelpdesk” or “secure-passkey” to capture login credentials and multi-factor authentication passcodes in real time. According to threat intelligence analysis, the campaign represents a strategic pivot toward private equity firms, law practices, and financial rating agencies, driven by the assessment that these targets hold sensitive commercial data worth paying substantial ransoms to protect. While digital intelligence data identified fake portals created for over 200 organisations, including Uber, Levi Strauss, and several major law firms, it remains unconfirmed which specific financial targets experienced compromised systems. The threat actors operating under names such as Redact, Falcon, Helix, and Pink share common digital infrastructure. Analysts noted that despite advanced enterprise perimeter security, direct voice-phishing techniques exploiting human trust continue to rank among the most effective cyber-intrusion vectors.

The ceremony was also addressed by Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Imtiaz Alam, Barrister Aamir Hassan, Khan Asif Khan, Ahmed Owais, Brigadier (R) Dr. Amin Amir Bahadur Hoti, Intikhab Hanif. Dr. Amin said that the army does not come without the support of political parties, we are all Pakistanis, otherwise the issue of new provinces should become Kalabagh Dam. PTI leader Ahmed Owais said that a system is running in Pakistan without the constitution and law, here you cannot express your opinion, there is a ban on speaking and listening. Pakistan English media Associations (PEMA) representative and senior journalist Intikhab Hanif said all steps in Pakistan have been taken by the sitting regimes. And those supporting it start finding faults in the policy after the regime is over.
