Salman Khan house security guard dies suddenly dur…

A Mumbai police constable posted outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence has died after reportedly falling ill while on security duty.

The officer, identified as Constable Ganesh Raite, was part of the Mumbai Police team deployed outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. According to Indian media reports, the constable complained of feeling unwell at around 6pm on Friday while carrying out his duty.

His colleagues reportedly arranged for him to be taken to a hospital shortly afterward. However, doctors declared him dead after he was brought to the medical facility.

Police officials have indicated that the constable may have suffered a heart attack while on duty. However, the exact cause of death has not yet been officially established. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the medical report is expected to provide further details.

The incident occurred as Salman Khan continues to remain under heightened security because of threats against him.

The actor’s security was upgraded to the Y-Plus category in 2024 following the killing of his close friend and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. Salman has faced repeated threats reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with tensions surrounding a long-running blackbuck poaching case involving the actor.

Security around Salman Khan’s residence has also been tightened following previous incidents.

In April 2024, two motorcycle-borne individuals reportedly fired several rounds outside Galaxy Apartments. Investigators later linked the shooting incident to people associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi network.

The latest death occurred while police personnel were continuing their security duties outside the actor’s Mumbai residence.

The sudden death of Constable Ganesh Raite has raised attention because of the demanding security arrangements surrounding Salman Khan, who remains one of Bollywood’s most prominent and closely protected celebrities.

Authorities are expected to establish the precise medical cause of death after the post-mortem examination. Until the medical findings are released, reports of a heart attack remain an initial assessment rather than a confirmed cause.

The incident is also a reminder of the risks faced by police personnel assigned to high-profile security duties, where officers are required to maintain prolonged vigilance around protected individuals and their residences.

Further details about the constable’s medical history and the circumstances surrounding his final moments are expected to emerge as the investigation and medical examination continue.

Gigi Hadid breaks silence after secret wedding rumours

Gigi Hadid has made a fresh social media appearance after recently grabbing attention with a wedding ring during a public outing with her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper. The supermodel, who was previously in a relationship with singer Zayn Malik, returned to Instagram on Sunday, August 9, sharing a series of photos that gave fans a glimpse into her summer days with her daughter, Khai. The update came just days after Gigi and Bradley fueled speculation that they may have secretly tied the knot. The 31-year-old model appeared to be enjoying a relaxed summer getaway with family and friends. Among the first pictures she shared was a sweet beach moment featuring Gigi alongside her younger sister, Bella Hadid. Both sisters looked effortlessly stylish as they posed together while enjoying the sunny surroundings. Another photo showed Gigi spending time with a close friend on a yacht, while their daughters were seen wearing matching swimsuits. The collection of images also captured several warm mother-daughter moments, highlighting how the model has been making the most of her summer break with Khai. Gigi’s post quickly attracted significant attention from her millions of followers. While many fans praised the beautiful summer snapshots, others could not help but notice how much Khai has grown. Several followers took to the comments section to express their surprise at seeing the little girl looking noticeably older. Fans described Khai as “so big” and shared their amazement at how quickly she appears to be growing up. The Instagram update also gave Gigi an opportunity to shift the focus away from the recent wedding speculation and toward her personal life and time with her daughter. Rumours surrounding Gigi and Bradley intensified earlier this month when the couple were spotted together in Paris. On Monday, August 3, the pair were photographed walking hand in hand through the French capital, with their jewellery immediately catching the attention of fans. Both appeared to be wearing rings on their hands, leading to widespread speculation that they may have secretly exchanged wedding vows. However, neither Gigi nor Bradley has publicly confirmed that they are married. The couple, who have reportedly been romantically linked since 2023, have generally kept their relationship away from the spotlight. Their rare public appearances have therefore continued to attract considerable attention. Gigi’s ring also became a major talking point among fans. The jewellery reportedly features 33 quarter-carat diamonds set alongside 18-karat yellow and white gold in a Grosgrain design. The ring has been reported to cost around $6,450. Despite the growing speculation, Gigi has not addressed the marriage rumours directly. Instead, her latest Instagram post focused on her summer memories, family and daughter. For now, fans will have to wait for Gigi or Bradley to confirm whether the rings were simply jewellery or a sign of a secret wedding.

UAE resumes visit visas for Pakistanis

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has resumed issuing visit visas to Pakistani citizens applying through registered travel agents, ending months of uncertainty for travelers and offering fresh hope to families, tourists and business visitors. The move has been confirmed by travel industry representatives and a UAE Embassy official, who said visit visas for holders of ordinary Pakistani passports are once again being processed through authorized travel agencies. The resumption comes after months of delays, stricter scrutiny and a higher rejection rate that had created difficulties for thousands of Pakistani applicants. Although UAE authorities repeatedly maintained that no blanket ban had been imposed on Pakistani nationals, many travelers experienced lengthy processing times and uncertainty over visa approvals. Travel experts say the biggest improvement has been seen in family applications. Pakistani citizens traveling with family members or visiting relatives in the UAE are reportedly receiving faster responses than before, reflecting a more streamlined processing system. Officials from the travel industry also noted that tourism-related bookings have started to recover as confidence returns. Passenger traffic between Pakistan and Dubai, which had dropped significantly during recent regional tensions and stricter visa checks, has begun to increase in recent weeks, although it remains below previous peak levels. Applicants seeking a UAE visit visa are advised to apply only through registered travel agents and ensure all required documents are complete. A valid passport, recent photographs, proof of accommodation or an invitation from a host, return travel arrangements and evidence of sufficient financial resources are among the documents generally required for processing. Industry representatives believe applicants with complete and genuine documentation are more likely to receive approvals, while family applications currently appear to have stronger prospects.

Umera Ahmed urges fans to avoid AI-generated content

Renowned Urdu novelist Umera Ahmed has appealed to readers and content creators to stop producing and sharing AI-generated visuals based on her literary works, saying such content diminishes the emotional and spiritual depth of her stories. In a statement shared through her official Instagram page, Ahmed’s team thanked readers for their continued love and support but expressed concern over the growing number of AI-generated images, videos and reels portraying scenes, characters and dialogues from her novels. The statement urged fan pages and digital creators to refrain from using artificial intelligence to recreate her books. According to the team, literature offers every reader a unique and personal experience, while AI-generated visuals limit that imagination by presenting a fixed interpretation of characters and events. Special concern was raised over Ahmed’s acclaimed novel Peer-e-Kamil, which the team described as a deeply spiritual and emotionally sensitive work. They said its message, beauty and sanctity should not be diluted through artificial intelligence-generated content. While appreciating the passion and dedication of fan communities, the statement encouraged readers to experience and share the author’s work in its original form, allowing the stories to leave their intended emotional impact without technological alteration. The appeal comes as artificial intelligence continues to spark debate within Pakistan’s creative and entertainment industries. Concerns over the misuse of AI have grown in recent months, with artists and public figures warning about its impact on originality, artistic integrity and personal image rights. The discussion intensified after an AI-generated promotional music video released by the Ministry of Planning and Development drew widespread criticism. Separately, television personalities Tauseeq Haider and Farah Saadia were forced to deny false rumours after AI-created images depicting their alleged wedding circulated online. Actor Hira Tareen has also urged fellow performers to carefully review contract terms, warning that some agreements may allow studios to use an actor’s likeness for AI-generated productions without adequate safeguards.

Pakistan unveils new oil import framework to attract global suppliers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to introduce a new policy framework aimed at facilitating international oil suppliers, improving the availability of petroleum products and strengthening the country’s energy security. Under the proposed Import Policy 2026 through Customs-Bound Storage, foreign petroleum suppliers will be allowed to bring oil and petroleum products into Pakistan and place them in customs-controlled storage facilities without immediately becoming liable for domestic duties and taxes. The new mechanism is designed to provide greater flexibility to international suppliers while creating an additional buffer of petroleum stocks within the country. Suppliers will be able to retain their products in designated customs-bound storage facilities and subsequently decide whether to sell the stocks in Pakistan or re-export them to other destinations. According to the proposed framework, international suppliers will be able to supply petroleum products to local oil marketing companies (OMCs) and refineries when market conditions and domestic requirements warrant such sales. Alternatively, they may re-export the products without necessarily having to enter them into the domestic market. The policy is expected to create a more flexible operating environment for global oil traders and suppliers, potentially encouraging them to establish a stronger presence in Pakistan’s petroleum supply chain. The customs-bound storage mechanism would also allow petroleum products to be stored in the country while remaining under customs control. This could help suppliers manage their inventories more efficiently and respond more quickly to changes in domestic demand. Officials and policymakers see the proposed framework as a step towards improving Pakistan’s petroleum supply security, particularly during periods of heightened international market volatility or disruptions in global energy supplies. The availability of additional stocks within the country could also help reduce the risk of sudden supply shortages by providing a readily accessible reserve that can be released into the domestic market when required. For local oil marketing companies and refineries, the framework could broaden their access to international suppliers and create additional options for sourcing petroleum products. Increased competition among suppliers may also contribute to greater efficiency in the petroleum import and distribution system. The initiative is part of broader efforts to modernise Pakistan’s oil import arrangements and make the energy sector more responsive to changing international market conditions. By allowing foreign suppliers to maintain petroleum inventories under customs control, the government aims to strike a balance between facilitating international trade and maintaining regulatory oversight of products entering the country. The new policy framework is expected to establish clearer procedures governing the import, storage, domestic sale and re-export of petroleum products, while providing international suppliers with greater commercial flexibility.
