Dylan Sprouse finally reveals how he met wife Barb…

Dylan Sprouse has opened up about the story behind his first meeting with his wife, model Barbara Palvin, revealing how their relationship began years before they eventually got married.

The 34-year-old actor discussed his relationship with Palvin during the Tuesday, August 4 episode of Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. Sprouse looked back on their first encounter in 2017 and shared details about how the pair initially crossed paths.

Sprouse and Palvin have now been married for three years, but their romance did not begin with an immediate relationship. Instead, their first meeting happened through a professional connection that eventually developed into something much more personal.

How Dylan and Barbara first met

During the podcast appearance, Sprouse explained that he first met Palvin after being introduced to her through mutual connections. At the time, the two were beginning to get to know each other, although neither could have known that the meeting would eventually lead to marriage.

Sprouse recalled being interested in Palvin from the beginning, but their relationship developed gradually. The actor has previously described their early connection as something that grew naturally rather than happening overnight.

Palvin, meanwhile, has also spoken about their early relationship and the way they stayed connected after meeting. Their romance eventually became public in 2018, when the pair began appearing together at events and sharing glimpses of their relationship with fans.

From dating to marriage

After several years together, Sprouse and Palvin took their relationship to the next level. The couple became engaged in 2023 and married later that year in an intimate ceremony in Hungary.

The wedding was especially meaningful for Palvin because it took place in her home country. The couple celebrated with family and close friends, keeping many details of the ceremony private.

Since getting married, Sprouse and Palvin have continued to support each other’s careers while maintaining a relatively low-key personal life. Although both have major careers in entertainment and fashion, they often choose to keep their relationship away from the constant attention of Hollywood.

Looking back at their beginning

For Sprouse, revisiting their first meeting offers a glimpse into how an unexpected introduction can eventually become a lasting relationship.

What began with a meeting in 2017 ultimately grew into a romance, an engagement and a marriage. Now, nearly a decade after they first crossed paths, Sprouse and Palvin have built a life together while continuing to pursue their individual careers.

The actor’s recent comments also give fans a rare look at the early days of a relationship that has remained one of Hollywood’s more enduring celebrity romances.

  • Jennifer Garner shares how insecure she felt financially after divorce from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner has revealed that she faced financial insecurity following her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2015, as she took a step back from acting to focus on raising their three children. She admitted that she was not working as much in the entertainment industry at the time because she was busy raising her children. “I panicked when I was first out of my marriage and realised I had taken such a step back in my work,” Jennifer shared on Emma Grede’s podcast, Aspire. “Suddenly I realised, like, I don’t know how long I’ll be able to work. This isn’t a career that’s like, hey, you’re 60, you’re 55, you’re 43  come on let’s pay you more than you’ve ever made. That’s not been traditionally the role,” she said. Jennifer and Ben were married from 2005 to 2015 and have three children, Violet, Finn and Samuel. The couple finalised their divorce in 2018. “I was suddenly like, wait a minute, I have to take care of myself. I have to take care of these kids. So, what is it going to be?” the actress said. The Elektra star explained that she and her manager became “very calculated” about every project because she wanted to continue working while remaining close to her family. “She was like, how can you work? And I said, I can work in Los Angeles. I can’t leave these kids for six months at a time. I would love to — I love going on location  but that is not this time in my career,” Jennifer shared. She said she and her manager then focused on finding projects that would allow her to balance her career and family responsibilities. In 2017, Garner also co-founded Once Upon a Farm, an organic children’s food company. “Once Upon a Farm was very much a part of that play. It’s just the crazy thing is it’s working,” she said. According to Forbes, the company has grown significantly, while Garner’s stake in the business has been valued at around $50 million. Jennifer also spoke about the realities of managing finances while being a well-known public figure. “It’s not like you can just unfamous yourself. Life is expensive and you still have to kind of figure out how you’re going to live. And just because you’re well-known by people does not mean that there is some great living being provided for you,” she said. Garner said the experience quickly changed her approach to money and made her realise that she needed to take greater responsibility for her financial future. “And it became very serious to me really quickly as someone who had never given a lot of thought to money. Like, oh, I need to be an earner here,” she added.

LHC grants interim bail in Crypto fraud case over …

MULTAN: In a significant development in a cryptocurrency fraud case, the Lahore High Court’s Multan Bench has granted interim bail to Hammad Ali and other co-petitioners, observing that the prosecution has, at this stage, failed to produce sufficient material linking them to the alleged electronic fraud or the freezing of the complainant’s cryptocurrency accounts. Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh issued the detailed 15-page judgment while hearing the interim bail petitions, emphasizing that the investigation remains underway and that the available record does not disclose prima facie evidence of cheating, fraud, or forgery against the petitioners. According to the judgment, the allegations contained in the First Information Report (FIR) do not appear, at first glance, to establish the offences alleged against the accused. The court noted that no evidence had been placed on record demonstrating the petitioners’ involvement in electronic fraud or showing that they played any role in freezing the complainant’s cryptocurrency accounts. The court further observed that it is the responsibility of the investigating officer to independently examine the role of each individual account holder before reaching any conclusion regarding criminal liability. The judgment stressed that investigations must be conducted impartially and based on verifiable evidence rather than assumptions. Justice Sheikh also noted that the petitioners had already provided the investigating officer with the records requested during the course of the investigation. The investigating officer, the court said, remains free to obtain additional documents from relevant financial institutions or other authorities if further verification is required. The judgment also outlines the complainant’s version of events. According to court records, the complainant initially invested Rs5 million in cryptocurrency. He claimed that a subsequent crash in the cryptocurrency market caused him heavy financial losses. The complainant further alleged that, in an effort to recover those losses, he sold household belongings, his vehicle, and gold jewellery to make additional investments in cryptocurrency. He later claimed that his cryptocurrency accounts were frozen, preventing him from accessing his digital assets. According to the FIR, the complainant then began withdrawing funds through the cryptocurrency accounts of friends. He alleged that the accused obtained cryptocurrency through bank accounts but failed to return the corresponding amount owed to him. After reviewing the available material, the Lahore High Court concluded that there was currently insufficient prima facie evidence directly implicating the petitioners in the alleged offences. On that basis, the court allowed their interim bail petitions while making it clear that the investigation would continue in accordance with the law. The ruling highlights the judiciary’s emphasis on evidence-based investigations in complex financial and cryptocurrency-related disputes, while leaving the final determination of criminal responsibility to the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
