Hrithik Roshan reacts amid Kangana Ranaut’s CJP controversy
Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has found himself back in the headlines after social media users claimed he liked a post mocking Kangana Ranaut amid the actress’ ongoing controversy involving her remarks about the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and student protests in India.
The speculation began after a Reddit user shared a screenshot allegedly showing Hrithik’s verified Instagram account liking a meme directed at Kangana. Although the original Instagram post has since been deleted and the like cannot be independently verified, the screenshot quickly went viral, reigniting public interest in the former co-stars’ long-running feud.
The meme referenced Kangana while addressing Hrithik directly. It read, “Hrithik Bhai, you could’ve taken one for the team. Kyun khula chhod diya ise desh par?” The post jokingly suggested that Hrithik should have prevented Kangana from becoming a public figure, prompting widespread discussion online after the alleged like surfaced.
The viral claim emerged as Kangana continues to face criticism over her comments regarding student-led protests linked to the NEET paper leak controversy. The actress had criticised the protest videos circulating on social media, describing them as “puke-inducing.”
Her remarks led to a public exchange with Cockroach Janta Party spokesperson Saurav Das, whom Kangana criticised by questioning his identity as a student.
Speaking about Das, Kangana reportedly said, “I googled this person and he is 28 years old. How he claims to be a student I have no clue!”
Responding to the actress, Das issued a statement to ANI, correcting her claims.
He said, “Even Google provides incorrect information to Kangana Ranaut. It suggests I am 28, but I am actually 27. I am not a student either; Google would confirm that I am not a student. I am a journalist, and I have never claimed to be an active student. I am a student of life… She should also strive to be one.”
While Hrithik has not publicly commented on the controversy, the alleged Instagram activity has fuelled speculation that the actor may have subtly reacted to the ongoing trolling surrounding Kangana. However, because the original post has been deleted, there is no independent confirmation that the like was genuine.
Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have shared one of Bollywood’s most high-profile public disputes, dating back to 2016. Their feud began after Kangana referred to Hrithik as her “silly ex” during an interview, implying the two had previously been in a relationship.
Hrithik strongly denied the claim and sent the actress a legal notice demanding an apology. The dispute later escalated, with Kangana alleging that the actor had pursued her during the filming of Krrish 3, while Hrithik consistently maintained that no romantic relationship had existed between them.
Over the years, the legal and public battle between the two actors has remained one of Bollywood’s most talked-about celebrity feuds, and the latest viral social media claim has once again brought their long-standing dispute back into the spotlight.
