Lahore food point staff attacked over juice paymen…

A minor dispute over a juice payment turned violent in Lahore’s outskirts when three individuals allegedly opened fire at a food point staff following an argument. The incident occurred in Managa Mandi, where police have launched an investigation after CCTV footage of the incident surfaced.

According to police officials, the suspects, identified as Boda Jatt and two of his associates, visited the food point and consumed juice. After the bill was presented, the individuals allegedly paid less than the required amount, leading to an argument with the staff.

Police said that when the food point employees asked the suspects to pay the remaining amount, the situation escalated. The accused allegedly pulled out weapons and opened fire at the food point owner and staff before fleeing the scene.

The CCTV footage reportedly shows the moments surrounding the incident and is being reviewed by investigators as part of the case. Police have collected bullet casings from the crime scene and registered a case against the suspects.

Authorities have started efforts to trace and arrest the individuals involved in the attack. Police teams are using available evidence, including CCTV recordings and forensic material, to identify the suspects and proceed with legal action.

Residents expressed concern over the incident, saying that disputes over minor issues should not lead to violence. The incident has once again raised questions about public safety and the need for effective action against individuals involved in armed attacks.

Police officials have assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible once they are arrested. Further investigation is underway to determine the complete circumstances behind the shooting and whether any additional individuals were involved.

The case highlights the importance of resolving everyday disputes through legal and peaceful means rather than resorting to violence. Law enforcement authorities continue their search for the suspects as the investigation progresses.

Cristiano Ronaldo set to enter acting after World Cup defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing for a surprising new chapter away from the football pitch, with the Portugal superstar reportedly set to make his acting debut in an upcoming football drama series. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is expected to appear in “Day 1s”, a new series centred on the world of football agents. According to British media reports, Ronaldo will make a cameo appearance while also taking on the role of executive producer. The move marks an intriguing expansion of Ronaldo’s already wide-ranging career, as the football icon increasingly explores projects beyond playing the sport that made him a global superstar. Ronaldo moves from football to the screen “Day 1s” is reportedly built around the story of a fictional football agent and the pressures, ambitions and personalities surrounding the modern game. British actor Damian Lewis is set to play the lead role, while British rapper Dave and newcomer actress Carlotta Banat are also part of the cast. Ronaldo’s involvement is expected to add an extra layer of attention to the production, particularly because of his enormous global following and deep connection with football. The series is already in production, with some scenes reportedly filmed at The Hive Stadium, home of English League Two club Barnet. Thierry Henry also joins the cast Ronaldo will not be the only major football name making the jump into the fictional world. Former France and Arsenal star Thierry Henry is also expected to appear in a cameo role. Interestingly, the concept for “Day 1s” was reportedly developed by Darren Dean, Henry’s former agent, who is also involved in the project as an executive producer. The involvement of major football personalities could make the series particularly appealing to fans who want to see what happens behind the scenes of the sport. Streaming battle could be next Reports suggest that several major streaming platforms could show interest in acquiring the rights to “Day 1s”, potentially triggering strong competition for the series. For Ronaldo, the project represents more than just a brief appearance on screen. In addition to his football career, he has expanded into business, media and other entertainment ventures in recent years. His role as both actor and executive producer could therefore signal the beginning of another major chapter in his career. After years of dominating football headlines, Ronaldo may soon have audiences watching him for a completely different reason — not for what he does with a football, but for what he does in front of a camera.

Hira Qaiser wins: Why is the internet divided?

Faisalabad’s Hira Qaiser has been crowned the winner of Pakistan Idol Season 2, securing the title after a months-long singing competition that concluded with a grand finale on Sunday. Hira received a cash prize of Rs1.5 million along with the coveted trophy. Her victory came after a series of performances that earned her recognition from the judging panel and helped her reach the final stage of the competition. The emotional finale became particularly memorable when Hira walked onto the stage with her toddler. She received the trophy from host Shafaat Ali and became visibly emotional during the celebration. Hira, who comes from a middle-class family in Faisalabad, expressed her gratitude after being announced as the winner. She thanked the Pakistan Idol team, judges and viewers for supporting her throughout the competition. For her final performance, Hira performed a song by Mekaal Hasan, receiving appreciation from the judges, including singer Atif Aslam. However, her victory quickly became a subject of debate on social media. While many viewers congratulated Hira and praised her final performance, others questioned the judges’ decision and argued that another finalist was more deserving of the title. Some social media users described Hira’s singing style as distinctive but limited. They argued that she frequently performed folk and Punjabi songs and suggested that she showed less versatility when performing Urdu tracks. A section of viewers particularly backed Turab Nafees, saying the Karachi-based contestant demonstrated greater versatility and should have won the competition. Other viewers suggested that the audience should have had a greater role in selecting the winner. They argued that a public voting system could have produced a different result. Despite the criticism, Hira also received considerable support online. Many fans defended her victory and praised the quality of her performances throughout the season. Supporters said the singer had established a strong connection with audiences and demonstrated enough consistency to deserve the title. Some also highlighted the emotional significance of her journey from Faisalabad to the Pakistan Idol stage. The contrasting reactions have made Hira’s victory one of the most discussed moments of the season. While some viewers believe the judges made the right choice, others remain convinced that Turab Nafees or other finalists were stronger contenders.
