Patients are not being treated equally

I want to draw attention to the problem of unequal treatment of patients in hospitals. Some patients are treated well because they are rich or have connections while poor patients often have to wait for a long time and do not receive proper attention.

This is unfair and can put patients’ lives at risk. Doctors and hospital staff should treat every patient equally regardless of their financial status or social position.

Hospitals should provide proper care medicines and emergency treatment to everyone.

request the authorities to take strict action against this unfair practice and ensure that all patients receive equal and respectful treatment.

    Workers discover gold while replacing sewer line

    When a drainage or sewerage line is replaced, workers generally expect to find nothing more than waste and garbage inside it. However, during routine renovation work in Belgium, workers made an astonishing discovery: gold worth billions of Pakistani rupees. The incident took place in Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde, Belgium. Workers were replacing a sewer line during the renovation of a building. They removed part of the foundation to install new pipes when they noticed something shining underground. At first, they thought they had found one-euro coins but they soon realized that the objects were actually gold. According to Mario, the workers’ manager, “I looked carefully and picked up the gold. Then we dug further and found more coins and gold pieces. It was an incredible experience.” He said that in his 33 years of construction work, he had never experienced anything like this before. An 18-year-old student working with the team said that at first they could hardly believe what they had found because they had never expected to discover gold. After the treasure was examined, it was estimated to be worth around $14 million equivalent to more than Rs2.5 billion. Unfortunately for the workers, they were unable to keep the treasure and had to hand it over to the police. The treasure is currently being kept by a charitable organization.It is still unclear who originally owned the gold. However, the building was reportedly once owned by a wealthy family. Under Belgian law, the original owner can claim such a treasure within five years. If no claim is made during that period, the treasure will be divided between the person who discovered it and the owner of the property.

The story culminated in Sahiban breaking Mirza’s arrows to protect her brothers. This act leads to Mirza’s demise. Sindh: The Seven Queens (Satt Surmyun) Sindhi lore centers around seven heroic women celebrated in Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s monumental Sufi compendium, the Shah Jo Risalo. Sassi (Sassi Punhun) searches the Makran desert for her abducted lover, Punhun, until the earth swallows her. Marui (Umar Marui) was abducted by King Umar. She refuses wealth and palace luxuries to remain faithful to her desert village. Moomal (Moomal Rano) operates the enchanted palace of Kak Mahal, tests suitors with magical illusions, and loses Rano to misunderstanding. Balochistan: Tribal Epics & Renunciation Baloch folklore prioritizes chivalry, tribal honor, and ascetic devotion. Hani and Sheh Mureed: The legendary hero Mureed sacrifices his marriage to Hani due to a bound oath given to Mir Chakar Rind. Mureed becomes a wandering dervish, becoming an archetype of ultimate devotion. Lulla and Granaz: Tales celebrating battlefield bravery, hospitality, and tribal allegiance.   • AI eye test for heart disease

    A new study suggests that a simple eye scan could help predict a person’s risk of having a heart attack or stroke over the next 10 years. The scan takes a picture of the back of the eye a test that is already used to check for different eye diseases.  Researchers believe it may also reveal important signs about heart health. Scientists used artificial intelligence (AI) to study thousands of digital eye images. The AI system can examine a scan in less than a second and estimate a person’s future risk of serious heart problems. Researchers hope this quick test could one day become part of regular health checkups along with blood pressure and cholesterol tests. This may help doctors identify high risk patients earlier and start treatment before serious problems develop. The study focused on eye scans from people with type 2 diabetes because they already receive regular eye exams to detect conditions such as diabetic retinopathy. Lead researcher Dr. Efi Mordi said the eyes can provide valuable information about the heart. If the tiny blood vessels at the back of the eye become narrow or damaged similar changes may also be happening in the blood vessels that supply the heart. At first the AI was trained to look for signs of narrowed or blocked blood vessels. Later it also learned to recognize other small details such as the pattern and size of blood vessels. The system was trained using 4,200 eye images. The results were encouraging.  The AI correctly predicted the risk of a heart attack or stroke within the next 10 years with about 70% accuracy. Dr. Mordi said the eye scan takes less than a minute and is already part of routine eye examinations. If widely used it could help save lives by identifying people who need early treatment. Professor Bryan Williams of the British Heart Foundation called the technology an important step forward but said more research is needed before it becomes a standard medical tool. Dr. Clare Jonas from the Stroke Association also welcomed the findings. She said that if governments include technologies like this in healthcare planning they could help prevent many cases of stroke in the future. Experts believe this research is an important development and could lead to  AI powered eye scans becoming a routine part of future medical checkups.

  • AI creates new viruses not found in nature

    US researchers have claimed to have developed new viruses with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) that did not previously exist in nature. The development is being described as an important breakthrough in the scientific community. According to a study published in the scientific journal Science, researchers from Stanford University and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard used a naturally occurring phage as a basis and employed AI to generate thousands of genetic designs. A phage is a type of virus that infects bacteria. The researchers chemically synthesized around 300 of these genetic designs and tested them in a laboratory. Of these, 16 viruses proved to be viable. According to the study, a combination of the AI-designed viruses was more effective than naturally occurring viruses at eliminating E. coli bacteria. The researchers said the approach expands the scope of synthetic genomics and could pave the way for more effective phage therapies against rapidly evolving pathogens. However, experts have expressed concerns about potential biological security risks alongside the possible medical benefits of the development. Isaac Bogoch, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Toronto and Toronto General Hospital said AI-designed viruses could have certain benefits such as creating specialized bacteriophages that could help tackle antibiotic-resistant infections. He warned that the same ability to design complete and functional viruses could pose a serious biological security threat if used to create harmful pathogens. Therefore, strong safety regulations, screening and monitoring are necessary alongside the technology. Professor Fatima Wafai of the University of New South Wales in Sydney said the current research does not pose a direct threat to humans because phages infect only bacteria. However, she noted that the methods used in the research could potentially be misused for harmful purposes. Tom Ellis, an expert in synthetic genome engineering at Imperial College London described the research as impressive but said it also demonstrates that AI is still far from being able to design complex genomes, cells and large viruses. He explained that the phage genome used in the study is very small and relatively simple while the genome of the virus that causes COVID-19 is approximately six times larger. The complexity of designing larger genomes increases rapidly. According to Ellis, the research does have implications for biological security. However, modifying naturally occurring viruses remains a more serious and immediate threat than creating new pathogens with AI. Hsu Li Yang, director of the Asia Centre for Health Security in Singapore also said that it may be possible to use AI to make viruses more dangerous. However, he cautioned against exaggerating the implications of the research. He clarified that the study does not mean that anyone with basic scientific or laboratory knowledge can now create life-saving or dangerous viruses at home. Considerable technical expertise is still required to physically produce a virus in a laboratory after it has been designed. Experts say the research is both medically promising and concerning from a biological security perspective as it demonstrates a technology that could potentially be used for both beneficial and harmful purposes.

But it is more than just a kitchen ingredient.  This evergreen herb comes from the Mediterranean region and belongs to the mint family.  It is commonly used as dried leaves or in powdered form. Rosemary contains nutrients such as iron calcium and vitamin B6. It has also been used for centuries because of its possible health benefits. Modern research has explored how its natural compounds may affect the body. Rich in Antioxidants Rosemary contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that may help protect the body from harmful free radicals.  These compounds may also support the immune system and healthy blood circulation. May support digestion rosemary has traditionally been used to help with digestive problems such as indigestion. In Europe it has been used for this purpose for many years and Germany’s Commission E has recognized its traditional use for digestive discomfort. May help focus and mood The smell of rosemary may also have an effect on mental performance. Research published in Therapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology found that rosemary aroma was linked with better attention mental performance speed accuracy and mood. Possible brain benefits Rosemary contains a natural compound called carnosic acid.  Scientists are studying this compound because it may help protect brain cells from damage caused by free radicals. This is one reason rosemary is being researched for its possible role in brain and nerve health. What about Cancer? Some laboratory studies have explored rosemary extracts and their possible anti tumor effects.  One study found that a rosemary extract slowed the growth of human leukemia cells in laboratory conditions. Other research has also looked at its anti inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. However these findings do not mean that rosemary can treat or cure cancer. More research is needed to understand its effects in humans. Use it in moderation Rosemary is generally safe when used in normal amounts as a food ingredient.  However taking very large amounts may cause harmful effects including vomiting and other serious problems. For this reason rosemary is best used in moderate amounts. If you plan to take rosemary as a supplement or use it for a specific health purpose it is better to speak with a healthcare professional first.
