Tom Holland breaks silence on brand-new project after Spider-Man

Hollywood superstar Tom Holland has broken his silence regarding his latest creative venture outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, opening up about his decision to prioritize Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated cinematic epic The Odyssey alongside his wife, Zendaya.
Speaking during a recent promotional tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the 30-year-old actor addressed rumors surrounding production overlaps between the two blockbuster projects. Holland disclosed that filming schedules for Nolan’s ambitious adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek saga initially clashed directly with the filming timeline for his upcoming Fourth Spider-Man installment, creating a major professional dilemma.
Holland revealed that his decision to lock in the role in Nolan’s film was heavily influenced by a playful yet decisive nudge from Zendaya. Recalling the pivotal moment when the opportunity arose, Holland shared that Zendaya delivered a humorous ultimatum, urging him not to pass up the chance to work with the legendary director:
”Zendaya jokingly looked at me and said, ‘If you turn down Christopher Nolan, I’m leaving you.’ In all seriousness, working with Nolan has been a lifelong dream, and having Zendaya push me to take that leap made all the difference. It required some very uncomfortable schedule negotiations, but it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”

The scheduling conflict required Holland to hold tough conversations with Sony Pictures executives to delay the production start of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, allowing him to complete filming on The Odyssey first. The Nolan-directed epic, which features an all-star ensemble cast including Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Matt Damon, marks the couple’s first major feature film collaboration outside the Spider-Man franchise.
Reflecting on his expanding filmography, Holland noted that stepping into non-superhero roles under visionaries like Nolan has allowed him to mature as an actor. While he remains deeply devoted to Peter Parker, Holland emphasized that exploring grounded, complex character studies is essential for his long-term artistic growth.
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey both generating massive global anticipation, Holland’s willingness to navigate high-stakes industry negotiations highlights his evolving standing as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men.

Pakistan keeps petrol and diesel prices unchanged …

The Government of Pakistan has decided to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged for the next two days after implementing fuel price increases over five consecutive days. The Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy issued an official notification confirming that current prices will remain in effect on July 26 and 27, 2026. According to the notification, the price of petrol will remain at Rs. 335.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will continue to be sold at Rs. 383.46 per litre during the two-day period. The decision comes after a series of recent adjustments to petroleum prices under the government’s revised pricing mechanism. Authorities said no further changes would be made during the specified period, providing temporary stability for consumers following multiple increases. The latest notification confirms that the existing fuel rates announced on July 25 will remain effective through July 27. Officials from the Petroleum Division stated that the move is in line with the government’s current fuel pricing policy. Just a day earlier, the government had raised petrol prices by Rs. 3.66 per litre and high-speed diesel prices by Rs. 4.80 per litre. Those increases followed another hike in which petrol became Rs. 4.40 per litre more expensive and diesel increased by Rs. 3.62 per litre. Before the latest revisions, petrol was priced at Rs. 331.52 per litre, while high-speed diesel was available at Rs. 378.66 per litre on July 24. The recent adjustments reflect ongoing fluctuations in petroleum pricing driven by changes in international oil markets and domestic pricing policies. Fuel prices play a significant role in Pakistan’s economy, influencing transportation costs, industrial production, and the prices of essential goods and services. Any increase or decrease in petroleum prices has a direct impact on businesses and household budgets across the country. The government’s decision to maintain current prices for two days is expected to provide short-term certainty for consumers and businesses. However, future revisions will continue to depend on global oil prices, exchange rate movements, and the government’s fuel pricing framework. Motorists and businesses are advised to follow official announcements from the Petroleum Division for any future changes in fuel prices. The current notification confirms that petrol and diesel rates will remain unchanged until the end of July 27, unless a new directive is issued by the government.

Permit documents reveal fresh details about Taylor…

Newly surfaced permit documents have offered fans a closer look at how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce planned one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year. The superstar couple exchanged vows earlier this month during a lavish yet highly private ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City. While they have largely kept details of the celebration out of the public eye, official event permits have now revealed how carefully every aspect of the wedding was organized. According to documents obtained by the Associated Press, the main wedding celebration began at 5 p.m. and continued until 4 a.m. the following morning. The permits also outlined a multi-day schedule, with an intimate rehearsal dinner for approximately 100 guests taking place the evening before the ceremony, followed by the larger wedding celebration attended by around 1,000 guests.  The paperwork also confirmed that extensive road closures were approved around Madison Square Garden to accommodate guest arrivals, security operations and event logistics. Several nearby streets were temporarily closed, while police officers and traffic personnel were deployed throughout the area to manage crowds and ensure the safety of attendees. The large-scale security operation reflected the extraordinary level of public interest surrounding the wedding.  The newly revealed documents also highlight just how much planning went into maintaining the couple’s privacy. Reports indicated that the event featured a strict no-phone policy, while guests and staff were asked to follow confidentiality measures designed to prevent photos or videos from leaking online. Those efforts appear to have been successful, as very few authentic images from the ceremony have surfaced since the celebration.  Preparations inside Madison Square Garden were equally impressive. Sources previously revealed that the iconic venue was transformed into an elegant wedding setting featuring custom décor, greenery, canopies and a specially designed reception space while preserving the arena’s unique character.  The wedding reportedly brought together family members, close friends and a long list of celebrity guests from the worlds of music, sports and entertainment. Despite its grand scale, those in attendance have largely respected the couple’s wishes for privacy, allowing Taylor and Travis to celebrate away from constant public attention.  The permit documents provide the clearest picture yet of how the high-profile celebration was executed. From carefully timed arrivals and extensive security measures to a multi-day schedule, every detail reflected meticulous planning. While fans remain eager to learn more about the wedding, the newly released documents show that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce prioritized one thing above all else: creating a memorable celebration that remained intimate despite the world’s attention.

AJK PML-N chief rejects PPP rigging allegations, c…

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Shah Ghulam Qadir has strongly rejected the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) allegations of election rigging, describing the claims as “baseless” and insisting that the election results genuinely reflect the will of the people. Addressing party office-bearers and workers from across Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as representatives of Kashmiri refugees from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) residing in Pakistan, Qadir congratulated supporters on what he described as a decisive electoral victory for the PML-N. He said the party was preparing to establish a stable government in AJK under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. According to Qadir, the upcoming government will focus on accelerating development projects and improving public welfare across the region. Highlighting the party’s previous tenure, Qadir said that infrastructure and development initiatives undertaken by the PML-N in AJK demonstrate its commitment to serving the people. He added that the party remains determined to address public concerns and deliver essential services at the grassroots level. With the final phase of polling in Rawalakot Division scheduled for August 10, Qadir appealed to party workers to maintain peace, cooperate with election authorities, and help ensure a smooth electoral process. He expressed confidence that voters in Rawalakot would extend their support to the PML-N, predicting a strong electoral performance in the division. Responding to criticism from opposition parties, Qadir reiterated that the elections in Mirpur Division, Muzaffarabad Division, and the 12 refugee constituencies reserved for Kashmiris from IIOJK settled in Pakistan were conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner. He argued that the election results clearly demonstrated public confidence in the PML-N. Qadir also criticised the PPP, suggesting that the party should focus on addressing governance challenges in Sindh rather than questioning the electoral process in AJK. The meeting was attended by several senior PML-N leaders, including AJK Legislative Assembly member Raja Muhammad Riasat Khan, former minister Sardar Farooq Sikandar, Kashmir Council member Malik Muhammad Hanif, and other party officials, who congratulated Qadir on the party’s performance in the recently concluded phases of the AJK elections.

Hassan Murtaza slams alleged AJK rigging

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza has accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of rigging in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections. Murtaza said the election process was marred by serious violations of the electoral code of conduct. He alleged that the rules were repeatedly ignored during polling. He made these remarks while addressing a press conference in Lahore. Murtaza also criticised the role of the Election Commission during the elections. He alleged that the commission failed to perform its duties impartially. According to him, it appeared to be acting like an election agent instead of an independent institution. The PPP leader strongly criticised the PML-N over the election results. He accused the party of setting a new example of electoral manipulation. “You steal the mandate of whoever you want,” Murtaza said while criticising the PML-N. He also referred to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s statements about AJK. Murtaza said Sharif was now visiting Kashmir and calling for himself to be made prime minister. The PPP leader said the current political situation in AJK was also linked to the sacrifices and political role of the PPP. Murtaza said that if Nawaz Sharif was able to go to Kashmir today and demand the prime minister’s position, it was partly because of the PPP’s political contribution. The PPP leader also raised serious concerns over violence during the polling process. He said a PPP worker was killed on election day. Murtaza described the incident as a serious matter that would remain part of the political record. He said history would record what happened during the elections. It would also establish who was responsible for the violence and who lost his life. The allegations came after the PML-N emerged as the leading party in the first phase of the AJK elections. The party secured nine seats, according to the results cited in the report

Paris Jackson reveals what Michael Jackson was rea…

Paris Jackson is giving fans a rare look at the private relationship she shared with her late father, Michael Jackson. During a recent appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the singer and actress opened up about growing up as the daughter of one of the most famous entertainers in the world. While much of her childhood was surrounded by intense public attention, Paris said her experience with her father was far more personal and ordinary behind closed doors. (Page Six) Paris described Michael as a “funny guy” and recalled having a particularly close bond with him. She has also previously called her father her “best friend,” emphasizing that their relationship was deeply personal rather than simply a connection between a famous musician and his daughter. (E! Online) Her comments offer a different perspective on the man the world knew as the King of Pop. For Paris, Michael was first and foremost her dad. Growing up, however, came with unusual rules. Paris and her brothers, Prince and Bigi, were raised with a strong emphasis on education, chores and discipline. Fun activities were often treated as rewards after they completed their responsibilities. Despite living at Neverland Ranch, Paris said the famous amusement attractions were not simply there for her and her siblings to enjoy whenever they wanted. (Page Six) The family also took unusual measures to protect the children’s privacy. Paris and her brothers sometimes wore masks when they went out in public with their father. She explained that the masks allowed them to experience everyday activities without being immediately recognized as Michael Jackson’s children. (Page Six) That secrecy was important because Paris did not initially understand just how enormous her father’s fame was. As a child, the world she knew was centered around her family, making Michael’s superstar status seem normal. Michael died in June 2009 when Paris was only 11. His death dramatically changed her life, and she has spoken openly about how difficult the years afterward became. Still, she has continued to protect the private memories she shares with her father. Earlier this year, Paris explained that she no longer feels obligated to publicly discuss her relationship with Michael or post tributes for the world to see. She said their bond is personal and does not belong to anyone else. (E! Online) Her latest revelations reinforce that message. Behind the headlines, enormous fame and public scrutiny, Paris remembers Michael simply as her father — a funny man, a strict parent and, most importantly, her best friend.

PTI welcomes SC order for Imran Khan’s hospital …

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has welcomed the Supreme Court’s order directing the transfer of party founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment. The party described the decision as an important step toward protecting Imran’s health and ensuring his constitutional and legal rights. PTI also welcomed the court’s direction allowing him to meet his family once a week. According to the court’s order, Imran will be shifted to the hospital for treatment for the next few days. A medical board will examine him and assess his condition. The board will include specialists in eye care, general medicine and cardiology. PTI said the involvement of Imran’s personal physician, Dr Faisal Sultan, and his sister, Dr Uzma Khan, would help ensure a comprehensive review of his medical history and current condition. The party said concerns over Imran’s health had increased in recent weeks. It maintained that he should receive treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors and have access to his personal physicians. PTI also appealed to its workers and supporters not to gather outside Shifa International Hospital after Imran’s transfer. The party urged them to maintain a peaceful environment and cooperate with authorities so the court’s directions could be implemented without disruption. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also welcomed the Supreme Court decision. He said the order for Imran’s hospital transfer and weekly family meetings should be implemented without delay. Afridi said PTI had repeatedly demanded medical treatment and examinations under the supervision of Imran’s personal doctors. He argued that the decision should have been taken earlier but said the party would respect the court’s directions. Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser described the ruling as an important development for Imran’s fundamental, constitutional and legal rights. He called for the decision to be implemented fully and without delay. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said obtaining reliable information about Imran’s health and ensuring his recovery remained the party’s primary concern. He also reminded supporters of the commitment given to the Supreme Court that workers would not gather outside the hospital. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan similarly urged the government to implement the order. Speaking outside Parliament, he said Imran had spent a prolonged period in detention and should now receive the medical care ordered by the court. Former federal minister Asad Umar also welcomed the ruling while questioning why similar action had not been taken earlier. He referred to previous concerns over Imran’s eyesight and said the decision was better late than never. Imran’s international affairs adviser, Zulfikar Bukhari, also welcomed the development, saying that when courts perform their constitutional role, the country benefits. He expressed hope that there would be no unnecessary obstacles to implementation. Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ayin-e-Pakistan chief and opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai also backed the ruling. He said prisoners, regardless of the charges against them, retain basic rights to medical treatment, family contact and legal representation. The Supreme Court’s decision followed reports concerning Imran’s health and recommendations for increased contact with his immediate family. A medical board and the Adiala Jail superintendent had earlier submitted reports to the court regarding his condition and access to family members and doctors. A three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed heard matters relating to Imran’s access to his sisters, personal physicians and medical records. The court directed that Dr Faisal Sultan be allowed to examine Imran and ordered the formation of the new medical board. Dr Uzma Khan will also be associated with the board. The court further directed Imran’s family to bear the cost of his treatment at the hospital. It also ordered that his family and lawyers refrain from sharing his medical reports with the media. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan directed that Imran’s medical report be kept confidential.
