Schools rarely have identical needs. One may be searching for its first art program, another may have funding but not enough resources to serve every student, while another may need a solution that works for a constantly changing population. Meet the Masters helps schools respond to these differences by making art education more accessible, adaptable, and connected to the wider learning experience.
Who We Are
Meet the Masters brings together artists, educators, and carefully developed learning resources to help schools make art part of their curriculum. The team values practical solutions that work within real school environments. Rather than treating art as separate from other learning, the program encourages connections between creative experiences and multiple academic areas.
What We Offer
The program has been used to address challenges of very different sizes and types. For 12,000 students, the need was access to diverse artists and opportunities to integrate art across subjects. For another 3,000 students, the challenge was more fundamental: there had been no art curriculum at all before new Prop 28 funding created an opportunity.
A different school community included 15,500 military students who could transfer in and out during the school year, making continuity especially important. Another group of 450 students was affected by budget cuts and needed an approach that could preserve access to creative learning.
Together, these examples represent 59 schools and 30,950 students. The Success Stories show that effective art education does not always require identical conditions. It requires an approach that understands the conditions each school is working within.
