Finding Freedom and Flexibility through Blogging

Last week, I shared the challenges of running an online business, and I know many of you can relate to feeling stuck and tired, with your time not being fully your own.

Before I started blogging, I worked in a corporate setting, where I saw many mothers, including managers, saying goodnight to their babies over FaceTime from their desks late in the evening. This image has stayed with me, as I realized that I didn’t just want to earn a living, but also have control over my time.

My Journey to Online Freedom

Fast forward to today, and I’m grateful to be running my own online business. It’s not perfect, but it gives me the flexibility and creativity that I think many people are looking for. Here are some examples of how blogging has changed my life for the better:

  • Flexibility: I can structure my day around my life, not the other way around. This means I can work early in the morning, take a break in the afternoon, and finish tasks later at night. I can also take a day off whenever I want, whether it’s to spend time with my mom or go on a hike with my daughter.
  • Creativity: In my old job, I felt like I was just going through the motions, working on meaningless spreadsheets and tasks. But with blogging, I can write about topics that interest me, share my ideas, and build something of my own. I can turn my experiences into blog posts or products and test new ideas to see what works.
  • No Commute: I used to spend 10 hours a week commuting to and from work, unpaid and dedicated to someone else. Now, I can use that time to sleep, read, or do something I enjoy. No more rushing in the mornings or sitting in traffic.

These are just a few examples of how blogging has changed my life. I hope that by sharing my story, I can give you hope and positivity in your day-to-day life.
